Politics › Re: Who Is Your Most Respected Nigerian Politician Of All Time? by DerideGull(m): 3:05pm On Oct 16, 2013
Katsumoto: Why did you call me a nitwit? I was only advising you.

In any case, the thread did not state the most respected philanthropist or humanist. How do you judge politicians if not by the effect they have on people? Awo impacted millions through his free education policies, infrastructural development programs. Do you know how many jobs would have been created with the construction of Liberty Stadium, WNTV, Cocoa House, etc? Personally, was Awo not also an employer of labour through the Tribune newspapers?

In any case, I will not begrudge your selection of Zik as your most respected politician but do not attempt to ridicule the achievements of others just so you can elevate your chosen politician.
Anybody who knew little about western region will frown at craps accredited to Awolowo. Awo led western region for barely 4 years and could not in anyway or manner build what had been erroneously accredited to him.

I guess you realized that not every politician shall be in position to build concrete structures. Most politicians are rather known for their humanistic endeavors and philanthropist nature than looting the government for their personal ends. Awolowo’s Tribune speaks volume about loots.

As for Tribune newspapers, Awolowo and co founded the newspaper entity from the money looted from western regional government or federal government of Nigeria.

shymexx: grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Ok, Zik influenced Nkrumah and Zik was the father of the African anti-colonial struggle.

Are you happy now?
You are losing serious mental capacity since you joined the ignorant flock that consisted of Kingofag, Dayolodo and Italifool, etc. This is not a matter of me being happy but your safety. I guess you look at both sides of traffic carriageway before dashing across.

Katsumoto: Quit making a fool of yourself. Administration is not about money you spend from your own personal funds. The Western regional governments did those things and as leader, Awo takes the credit. After all, there were Northern and Eastern regional governments.

Maybe we should say Mobolaji Bank-Anthony or MKO Abiola were the best administrators considering they were the foremost philanthropists of any era.
I guess when there is no need to “copy and paste”, the audacity of your foolery is legendary. The thread did not say “Respected Nigerian Premier or Prime Minister or President or Head of State” which most of them were politicians.

You are one of those nitwits I referenced in my post who will jump onto unfounded praises of tribal icon known as Awolowo. I mentioned Azikiwe as a politician not because of what he built or what he led but the class of person he was. Of course, Awolowo and Yoruba peeps are known for taking undue credits when none is actually due to them.
Politics › Re: Minister Forced Aviation Agency To Spend $1.6 M On Two BMW Armoured Cars(Pics) by DerideGull(m): 1:44pm On Oct 16, 2013
Any Nigerian who remotely believed the forged documents posted with thread is an irredeemable fool. The pen characteristic and handwriting on document #1 from Coscharis Motors Limited to document #10 from Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority are the same format and written by one person.

The entire crap is forgery and blackmail attempts gone tribal. Nigerians needs to go their separate ways to avoid this waste of human endeavor.
Politics › Re: "God Is Speaking And Sending A Signal, Fire Aviation Minister Now" - Fani Kayode by DerideGull(m): 9:48pm On Oct 14, 2013
The loudmouthed grandson of a slave boy called Femi Fani-Kayode should do himself a favor by praying to God to sack Nigeria. Nigeria is silly joke from every perspective of human nature.

shymexx: the success of a group is determined based on ratio. And when you do a comparative analysis using that benchmark, and compare AA's as a group to Nigerians, or other African countries/groups, separately. Then the difference is quite clear. Even if we compare the top-tier most successful black people in the world, in every field, no other group of black people can compete with African Americans.

I'd also say they're also the most influential black group in the last 50-70 years. We can start with anti-colonial movements in Africa and how they were influenced by African Americans. Most of great Africans from that era were influenced either directly or indirectly, by the civil rights movements, or other AA movements of that era. Those from Nigeria: Awolowo was influenced by the anti-colonial conference held in Manchester in the 40s or thereabout. Zik was influenced by Kwame Nkrumah and we all know where Nkrumah got his blueprint from. Even Fela Kuti became Fela after embracing what the Black Panther Party was about. Wole Soyinka was influenced by the African American fraternities and sororities, hence why he started the Pyrates and activism. The Black Orpheus also helped most of the Nigerian writers of that era, including: Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Christopher Okigbo etc.. I'll just stop here for now.
When you wrote that “Zik was influenced by Kwame Nkrumah and we all know where Nkrumah got his blueprint from”, I realized you are grossly ill-informed. You need to brush up your rudimentary source of enlightenment. Kwame Nkrumah was still a desk clerk in Gold Coast when Azikiwe obtained master’s degree in USA.

I can say your plank of argument lacked well informed and above average intellectual support.

Alfa Seltzer: Give an example specific to USA.
Do you actually understand what American Specification in automobile denotes? I can not believe a person who talked about American Specification in automobile would seek examples.

sonya4all: The major languages spoken in the state are Ebira,Edo, Esan and ika/Okpamheri.EdoState is home to several ethnicities,so perhaps there were more of Benin present at the occasion which is Why edo was used. don't come with Your land grabbing attitude here... igbanke is of the ika stock and Never igbo. in such gathering in Delta. we speak either English or pigeon.
It is clear that most moronic scoundrels (minorities) shouting about the ills of domination will be first to dominate other if they found themselves in majority. Imagine the idiocy of choosing Bini as medium of expression during Edo State Day celebration knowing fully well that Edo State is multiethnic.

barcanista: Tam David West a Kalabari Man now speaks on behalf of Eleme people? Take a trip to rivers state and get enlightenment.

I'm in support of a Biafra Republic AS long as the Igbos don't make a re-attempt to force "any part" of Ijawland into the partnership.

The attempt failed...
Any further attempt will definitely fail
As a Nigerian minister, Tam David-West had an encounter of protocol with people of Eleme and it was an experience rather felt than described.

I can not guess your biological age but hope you realized that no single ethnic group in Nigeria will cross warpath with Ndigbo and survive to tell the story.

Orlando Owoh: With the way you curse, I always wonder how childish an old man like you have become. The names of some of the ethnic groups in Nigeria were corrupted. Ijaw, or Ijow as the Europeans call them, is originally Izon; they call Igbo, Ibo; they call Ijebu, Jebu, etc.
There was no such a thing as Izon. It is a delight of deluded revisionists such as you. There were jackasses such as you that doubted Yari,ba, Yoo,ba and Yoro.ba for Yoruba. I curse because I have zero tolerance for imbecilic dingbats hoping to takeover NL.

Orlando Owoh: Must you always attach? Would you then say Opobo is part of Igboland because the first Jaja was an Igbo slave that later became a trader?
A moronic jackass such as you must realize the name is not Opobo.

peleson: Okrika, eleme, andoni are not igbos period!
On Eleme being Igbo or not, you can inquire from Tam David-West about his encounter with the people of Eleme. By the way, Eleme is not the cultural name of the people.

naijaking1: Funny, if Ijaws are the natives in Igwe-ocha(PH), how come its the settlers(Ikwerres, Ndoni, and Elemes) that are selling land to other Nigerians, while the so-called Ijaw natives live in make shift squalor camps established in the 1970shuh
The so-called Ijo were boat people at best that used to hang around waterside. I remembered when I use to fetch drums of Akamere (Ogogoro) and smoked fish for my mother at Iwurfe waterside while I sell bags of garri and other farm products to the Ijo peeps.
Culture › Re: There Are Many Igbos In Rivers State. by DerideGull(m): 6:44am On Oct 13, 2013
barcanista: Mr. Man Odili is from Ndoni. They are NOT Ijaws.
Ameachi is from Ikwerre, they deny Igbo yet they aren't Ijaws. They are settlers.

When you hear of "Native", the Ijaws comes to mind and other tribes like Ogoni, Andoni.
Being a governor doesn't change your identity.
Foolish fool, Ijo is not an ethnic group. It was Portuguese’s coinage that gave rise to the word-Ijo.

Alfa Seltzer: American spec is just a design pattern that car makers do to suit the taste of US consumers. It is not a govt. imposed specification but a competition induced action. Adapt or die. They study what Americans want, and they provide it.
Bros please understand that American Spec is not just a design pattern that car makers do to suit the taste of US consumers. There is IIHS and NHTSA mandated features vehicle must have to be allowed into USA market.

Bright2: The Ikwerre founding father is called Ihwuoruoha! That name is never an Igbo name, let the people be where God asked them to be & stop this tribal kidnapp! That we speaks english in Nigeria doesn't make Britainian.
Above is arrant nonsense. Ngwu Nwagadi Umunneoha founded Isiokpo the capital of so-called Ikwerre LGA. I guess you know the connotation of Isiokpo. You can see the betrayal artists could not change Isiokpo to RuIsiokpo. The real name is not Ikwerre. Ikwerre is a bastardize name and Ihwuoruoha is a coinage borne out of idiocy.

Alfa Seltzer: Onlytruth, our Eze. I ga adi.

What you said is as clear as the morning and I believe you mentioned Nigeria because of the nature of this forum. The people you are actually speaking to are your people, the Igbos, but as we are currently yoked with other nations, we have to pretend to cater for their welfare as well.

Don't mind the western efulefus here talking through their backside as usual.

Although your write-up was filled with good intentions, I believe it is the wrong approach to what we acknowledge is a big problem that would get worse. I don't believe in protectionism and censorship. They may have worked for some countries last century when the world was not as open as it is today.

Take the example you mentioned about "Desperate Housewives", I don't agree with you that the woman should be prevented from watching it if she wants to. Even if she doesn't understand it, who are we to decide what people should watch. I would rather we compete with "Hollywood", and produce series that our Nigerian housewives would love and appreciate.

It is competition that will make us better, not banning foreign products.

I will say one controversial thing here. We deliberately make things bad for us due to greed and illiteracy. Take Abakaliki rice for example. In it's purest form, it is better than any foreign counterpart but the producers deliberately add chaff and stones to the finished product in order to increase the weight and volume. So we end up with cheap mediocre rice instead of quality we can be proud of. Competition forced the producers to reduce this practice but the name is already tainted.

My point is this: without govt. protectionism and censorship, our people will still patronise our local producers if they maintain top quality; and the only way to maintain top quality is by allowing competition.
As you posited with “I would rather we compete with "Hollywood", and produce series that our Nigerian housewives would love and appreciate”, it is well. However, you must also strive to produce the cameras, tapes, bulbs etc used in motion picture production. It will be foolish to only imitate the acting mannerism of Americans without emulate the fabrication skills and cultural purity.

If you move to Delta State would you understand the language of Urhobo, Isekiri or Ijaws?

If na by language what of places in the Middle belt where there are 9 languages in one LGA
The logic in the above post is the reason the poster never made JAMB or passed any scholastic aptitude test in his miserable life. A question the dumbass such as you should ask is “what language of communication is used during the celebration of Delta State Day”, olodo.

Onlytruth: Why is the North always afraid of restructuring Nigeria? I just don't get it.
Restructuring Nigeria only helps to make her stronger IMHO. I'm seriouslFree and fair elections are only possible in nation states where there is unity and patriotism. Nigeria is not a nation but a county. The sovereign national conference will expose the fraud called Nigeria. y baffled. The resoluteness with which the North combat restructuring supports the suspicion that the current system works only to their advantage. Of course other parts of Nigeria will never allow current system to continue.
Nigeria does not need restructuring or reconfiguring. It needs total disintegration to allow real nation states to emerge. I am sick and tired of Nigeria which visibly has no future in growth.

That is the least I can hope for at this stage.

I advise Nigerians to think. The new century will not be kind to dumb nations.

Nuff said.
You have wasted a precious time trying to enlighten gang of feel-happy "copy and paste" artists on NL. Why should new century be kind on bunch of stones?
