berem: No,we are not afraid of elections. We are only afraid of PDP rigging the elections as at what happened in Anambra.I guess pathetic “born-again” losers are always afraid of anybody rigging election. Elections are not rigged when the scoundrels win elections. |
Abagworo: I hope you know that most of the people against GEJ now were the same people that stopped OBJ's 3rd term and also fought for Jonathan's emergence as President. They are the civil rights activists and lovers of united Nigeria. They have no particular political affiliation but are bent on keeping the peace and unity of Nigeria. The above crap represents one of the characteristics of most Nigerians that attempt to compare incomparable things. The so-called OBJ’s 3rd term bid was against his constitutional mandate. Why would a sane person oppose GEJ’s bid for 2nd term which is constitutionally mandated? It is very shameful to see the same airheads who had accused the northerners of exhibiting “born to rule” attitude are the same fools opposing GEJ’s constitutionally mandated 2nd term in the office because the a cross section of moronic Nigerian society thought otherwise. |
unuane1: There was confusion in the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party on Thursday as it made two conflicting demands from both the House of Representatives Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal , and the Federal High Court, Abuja on the defection of 37 of its members to the All Progressives Congress.Nigeria is on second leg of its death. There is a constitutional stipulation on the fate of any member of the national assembly that switched party before the end of his/her term. |
Oduduwaisreal: What are you talking about? There is no doubt you were born and raised in Nigeria. Now let us I assume in ANKARA, TURKEY about 2011 that GEJ in a meeting with Nigerians in Diaspora said “by 2015 even though I will not be running for election’’. Was the alleged statement made under oath? Did the statement negate or replace GEJ’s constitutional mandate for a second term? Is GEJ not humanly entitled to change his mind? |
Oduduwaisreal: So you cannot decipher the meaning of "I will not be running in the election"?The writer of the article did not follow through to the context. Did you read the part that states "Even though I will not be running in the election". |
The goofy character has no credibility left to leverage a claim to the position of governor of CBN. GEJ should remove the technically inapt goon as governor. |
@OP I say shame on the poster of this old news. Was GEJ on oath when the alleged statement accredited to him was made? It is silly to equate “I have no ambition to stay in office beyond 2015 to “I shall not contest election in 2015”. |
Is there anyone else who doubts that GEJ is finished? Note how Tinubu has sort of taken a back seat and allowed Buhari to be the fase of APC. Buhari has been making pronoucements such as "We will meet with OBJ" etc. Tinubu is turning out to be a very savvy and smart politician who understands that he has some baggages which his enemies can use to fight APC if Tinubu were the face of APC or its presidential candidate. I believe Jagaban Borgu may be one of the most powerful politicians in Nigeria today. GEJ has alienated every well meaning supporter and he continues to present himself as the President of the SS/SE or Ijaws alone. GEJ and his crew have been selling off national assets to their cronies and believe they can renegotiate the oil block contracts whereby, they will move the same to their cronies, come 2016. His handlers have grossly miscalculated and will pay dearly for their miscalculations. We continue to watch the Dangotes and the Odetolas of Nigeria; if those guys shift allegiance from GEJ, then GEJ may not make it to 2015 as our President.
Mr. chucks, Have you recently heard what your boy, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, is saying about the goofy letter he allegedly wrote to the President about the so-called missing $50 billion from crude oil proceeds? |
I also truly hope that GEJ cleans up the system as a result of recent events. Unfortunately, I doubt he'll be able to do so given the facts that election campaigning will start in 2014, the national conference ia planned for 2014, and the PDP has lost control of NASS. If he can still clean up the system given these realities, then OBJ would have been one of the people to cause that change, so OBJ will still deserve the Person of the year award, as far as I am concerned.
GEJ must ask Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to resign as the governor of CBN. |
Aigbofa: Absolutely. How can someone sit in the back of a bus with no tires, and apparently no one in sight to fix it. And he just sits there waiting for Godot. Absurd. The cartoonist knows very well there will be no red cap in the vicinity of apparent mad dash for fraudulent lunch. |
I can say unequivocally that tribalism is better than censorship. It is beyond the pale of enlightenment that a goon should tamper with or destroy the mental property of another person all in idiotic pretense. In USA, people still feel free to discuss the ancestral differences of the people of USA regardless the crudity of the language. |
ilugunboy: Serious..Illegitimateboy In addition to cowardice, it is safe to say deceit is an inherent trait among your people. You have been posting the above crap for three years every Xtmas period. It appears hyena can not change its spots. |
shymexx: Darn!! You cook them and feast on them, yes?Shyman, Tell the bolded part to the Yoruba. |
ilugunboy: You be winch?I guess you will have a mind ache if you were wishing to see a red cap hustling over to APC. Naturally, an Igbo man is not a inherent turncoat. The picture might be a cartoon but it spoke volumes about certain creatures in Nigeria. |
shymexx: BwahahahahahahaSure, we do not take prisoners. ![]() |
Orlando Owoh: Mention it for we to engage you, or you keep shut, agadi nwoke.jason123, You are a regrettable omo ale. I do not deal with intellectually challenged dingbats such as you. At least, I have two arokes to flog. |
shymexx: I know of a tribe running around stark naked in 1913 - and a region where cannibalistic feasts were rampant till 1921, from the West of Onitsha in Asaba - all the way to almost every part, East of Onitsha. I didn't make it up, I read about it from an academic link posted on nairaland. I did a scholarship on it, and found out that everything there is the truth and nothing but the truth. So what say you, Mr-shrapnel-stuck-in-skull-since-the-civil-war?Shyman It is good to hear you just did a scholastic review on the crap you vomited above. In my case, I lived in Yoruba land and in some cases passed as Omo-Yoruba. In addition, I performed empirical research on the gbomogbomo and the cannibalistic practices reserved for royal class, olodo. |
dayokanu: 1. Attack the opponentDayolodo, I know it will take seconds before you arrive with your silly Ogbomoso illogicality. |
shymexx: Whining again, ain't ya?bittyend, You can do better than the above conjectural crap. I do not think a group of people that invented gbomogbomo and other forms of atrocities could be termed as cultured. ![]() I know a section of Nigeria were first son was buried with his highly placed father in the society. It has suddenly changed to eating the heart of deceased father by the surviving son before the later could be enthroned. ![]() |
Aigbofa: The PDP bus is also missing a tire; meaning it's going nowhere.Very good observation. |
Olaolufred: ALL POLITICIANS ARE ACTUALLY HUSTLERS-JONATHAN INCLUDED.You must agree though that some politicians are worse than others. |
itsrandeeboi: I understand that, institutionally, we have some things to correct but do we have to wait for government to act before we make changes that are within our power to make? Isn't it every Nigerian that is suffering Nigeria's problems regardless of who gets allocated what? People shout that there are too many northerners in positions of authority in this country. That may be true, but go to the North and find out, at the grassroots level, how many common northerners are benefitting from it all? Blackouts/power failure is a reality across the country, not just in certain states. Same as bad roads, poor healthcare, decripit state of education and every other problem plaguing Nigerians. When will we realize that we are all suffering the same problems from Lagos to Aba to Kafanchan to wherever else?As technically and socially advanced as USA, I bet not everybody benefits from all government programs. However every citizen of USA seemed to believe he/she belongs to the country patriotically. Tribal bigotry in Nigeria is as old as the country. Have you seen any Yoruba or Hausa, or Fulani or Kanuri shouting above his/her voice requesting the federal government to situate international airport in Igbo land or defunct eastern region? I remembered the day someone told me to go back to my country while still in Nigeria. I am not delusional about socio-politico-economic situation in Nigeria. A lesson was learnt long ago not to attempt to change anything socially or politically in Nigeria. Those who tried were branded as tribal bigots and enemy of the state. |
itsrandeeboi: My problem is not exactly about how the tribalism on the threads affect me because I know enough about how silly it is to be tribalistic to prevent myself from getting emotional about one tribe or another. Where I have issues is with impressionable people like teenagers who, whether we like it or not, also are members of this forum and read through the threads and pick up things from what people post here. Some of these e-warlords just take the whole thing as a joke and see themselves as catching fun by poking fun at other tribes. But someone else learning is taking it all seriously and would get the impression that all the tribes in Nigeria just hate each other (which in reality is not at all true). Stupidity has a way of setting of real trouble and by God I will not stand by and watch that happen.Nigeria denotes tribal bigotry because tribal bias is institutionalized in the country. From quota system, state of origin, deportation to federal character is all governmental bias spurred by tribal bigotry. I would want you to stop federal character and quota system in Nigeria and initiate ground root ideas which will state that every square inch of contiguous restate in Nigeria is an ancestral home to every joker. Nigeria shall remain a melting pot until we decide to go our separate ways. |
Carpet-crossing in politics always has boomerang’s effects. These goons that seemed to rush over to APC must be watched closely. They are nothing but hustlers and shall be the likely losers that will shout election is rigged, election is rigged and election is rigged!!! |
itsrandeeboi: I am quite sure that i'm not the first person to write about this but I certainly would like to be the last. I read through the following thread with concern https://www.nairaland.com/1561102/34-year-old-enugu-ebonyi-bridge-collapses seeing how people who claim to be educated spout crass stupidity on a public forum. I mean, someone posted news of a collapsed bridge and all some people could think about is how to make it a tribal thing? Are some people high or just dumb? These are people who claim to have degrees, who claim to be good parents to their children but when they go online, they display such an amazing lack of intelligence that leaves one wondering. There is no doubt the above post showed sign of defeatism and self-pity. Why worry about crass stupidity people display on public forum? Unless the picture says something difference from the article, the bridge in the picture is not collapsed. Although the bridge is in serious bad shape that it should be closed down, it is not a collapsed structure. Also, I equally doubt if the bridge transverses a river or stream on federal or Truck “A” road. |
