obailala: Dont mind all these political jobbers we have all over Nairaland...

My common sense tells me that those men must have committed some kind of huge fraud and have come to beg oga ontop not to probe them... from all indications, those men do not look like they were forced to kneel down by anybody but how do you expect these bunch of political (PDP) bootlickers all over Nairaland to use common sense when its not common?...
It is safe to say you absolutely know nothing about democracy. Even if both men that knelt down before the governor were in the same political party with the later, what could have warranted a member of IMHA to kneel down before the governor while the Speaker of House looks on? What were the men begging and requesting from the governor to mandate kneel down machination? Are they in the same business? The picture rubbishes the principles of separation of powers orchestrated by democracy in Nigeria, if any.

mazizi tonene: Young man, I was not @ d scene of the event, but the rochas we know in imo state is not that mean to be contented with such. The legislator must have erred or maybe kidding, d governor is a jovial man, I av cousins in government who can attest to his humility. He brought governance and gave it to the masses. If not that I don't have strength to type much I would have told u events that happened before my cousin's very eyes 2 justify d level of simpleness/humility of this man, but all in all, take my words for it...rochas is a good/humble man, tho he may not be doing so much due to d little income of the state. Tho he's still trying his best to generate funds
I guess the simplicity and humility you are on about could be likened to what I witnessed on the Douglas Road, Owerri, Imo State which involved Rochas Okorocha, keke napep and heaps of refuse. The Douglas Road has been overtaken by heaps of refuse and rubbish yet the governor did not see the impending health hazard as result of the refuse but danced atop of keke napep on Douglas Road while goons in Imo State cheered on. I tried to inquire the meaning of the shenanigans the governor was playing out on the street only to be informed it was enlightenment by one of the onlookers. I could not believed what I heard. I asked enlightenment on top refuse?

agbameta: 1. Oduah's staffs signed the delivery documents for cars that was never delivered. Fraud and corruption

2. The VIN numbers in the documentation she presented to NASS was different from the ones allegedly delivered. Fraud and corruption

3. The cars were fraudulently overpriced to rip off the Nigerian taxpayers... Still, no explanation for the insane cost Fraud and corruption

4. Her and her staffs lied to the Nigerian people in front of NASS members with their conflicting stories regarding the reason for the purchase and for what purpose. Fraud and corruption

5. She lied that import waiver was obtained for the cars. Fraud and corruption

Do we really after to go through all this? The people of Nigerian via the Nigerian legislature rendered their judgement already and they recommended 3 years jail term for that crooked and corrupt government official who the dullard that hired her should have fired a long time ago.
The above rubbish has validated my lamentation that most goons on this forum do not understand the connotation of the word - corruption. Please I insist that someone help this dude to comprehend the meaning of corruption because I can not help the dude even if I could.

Picture says it all- there goes the money of Imo State. When I wrote something about marriage, raising children at a particular area, counterculture and Igbo land, one Ikemb Nnewi seemed upset with my post. I guess Ikemba Nnewi can see what I meant by counterculture in the pictures of Imo State governor and members of IMHA. Where is the separation of power overly orchestrated by democracy?

chi 3280: If you were in the shoes of those legislators, you would do the same. Stop being a hypocrite! Moreover, you have no idea why they were on their knees.
Why Stan Dara should kneel down beats my imagination. As for Ike Amuka, he is a PDP turned APGA leaning toward APC who wanted the position of Majority Whip.
Politics › Re: I Did Not Write Any Letter To My Father-iyabo Obasanjo by DerideGull(m): 7:16pm On Dec 18, 2013
babaolofin: Dear All, only fools will believe such letter emanates from Iyabo. The only thing I noticed from Iyabo reaction to the letter is the mentioning of the Ijaw Woman's character. With the little career I have in the non civilian life and my present civilian life and my interactions with various tribal groups in Nigeria and beyond, an average Ijaw woman has a good strength of character and that reflects in their children (male & female). Yorubas also have a very good strength of character.

I have sympathy for Jonathan. IBB, Abdulsalami, Buhari, Gowon and other past leaders, radicals and statesmen are watching events. Those (group or tribe) whom Jonathan considers as the strength or pillar of his government are very weak and they may not know the strength of what they are doing or they have soon forgotten history. Abati and Doyin Okupe have a duty to resign from this government for this kind of fake letter designed to destroy the reputation built over the years even at the point of death. Fortunately, Dr. Okupe and I are from the same Ijebu Remo division of Ogun State. The late Chief Okupe, the founder of the first private bank in Nigeria, as I was told by my grand father was a man of principle and character. I have come to develop interest in Abati during his days in Patito's gang - a TV program founded by an intellectual - Dr. Pat Utomi. Both Abati and Okupe should know from Yoruba tradition that a daughter cannot write such letter to her father particularly a loving daughter and the closest child to her father. Even as student, Iyabo has represented her father on many occasions. She has good education both locally and abroad, she was made a commissioner in my state (Ogun) on the influence of her father, later, she was given a senatorial seat in the same state out of the influence of her daddy. Ogun State, an elite state of men of no easy means both financially and educationally, getting an appointment at a young age must have been under the influence and support of men that have paid their dues.

A daughter that has benefited from his father and also suffered for his father cannot write such letter. It is not in our character. Remember how she was humiliated because of =N=10M assistance her committee received as the chairman, senate committee of health. House of Rep and Senate returned the Money, the minister of health, Prof. Adenike Grange (Yoruba) was humiliated out of office despite her long contribution to the development of health sector in Nigeria. Obasanjo Relieved Mrs. Bolaji Osomo of her Ministerial job as the Minister of Housing without any querry for non transparent sales of government houses in Lagos to some Top PDP members. She wept, Prof Grange also wept. I remember, how Bola Onagoruwa was sacked from BPE for committing no offence. No DG of BPE can approve or recommend the sale of any government share in any corporation in Nigeria, except if I don't understand the politics again from Military to the present civilian regime. House recommendation on SEC remains because she was not from South West.

The bullet proof cars and deals of oil theft are there for people to see. Nobody can do anything. It is their turn to loot the wealth of the Nation. I wish them well.

To those feeble minded Nigerians on Nairaland commenting on political matters they know nothing or very little about, I wish them well. They are not Ijaws. They are from a particular section of the country.

The fabricated open letter from Iyabo, can never be the work of Abati or Okupe, rather from propaganda experts. They work very well during Abacha regime. They are experts 419 and drug barons. The author of the letter should be investigated.
There is no doubt you are the only fool in the ongoing discourse. The alleged letter by Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello pales in comparison with public allegation Obasnajo’s son leveled against his father for sleeping with OBJ’s daughter in-law.

Only an irredeemable fool will term the purchase of two armored BMW cars by NCAA for ministry of aviation as form of corruption. Throughout the discussion of the purchase of the two armored cars, no iota of corruptible practices was established.

The bulled-proof cars can not be compared to the conversion of government fund earmarked for Operation Feed the Nation into private farm such as Ota Farm.

The only thing I can agree with the load of rubbish you posted above is that the government of GEJ is pathetically weak. If not weak why should characters such as OBJ, IBB, Danjuma, Abdulsalami, Tinubu etc be allowed to walk freely in our society?

superstar1: If you are creole, find your way to Sierra Leone. Creole does not have a single root in Nigeria. Every free slave brought to Nigeria where of Nigerian descent. Why will a creole leave his Freetown to come to Nigeria then, when Sierra Leone and Liberia (SL neighbour) were freer towns than Lagos.

Your fore father's built Free town and we all know how it is. A capital with a stretch of tarred road. So your forefathers have always been following Portuguese to Eko since 15th century? Na wa o. The refugees of Liberia and Sierra Leone wars too will be telling us in 100years time, how they built Lagos.

Staying in Lagos makes you a Lagosian, it does not make you an indigene of Lagos. Only yorubas have the sole right to claim Lagos indigeneship. If you want to try I, get to your nearest LGA HQ and try it.

There is no lies and fallacies we don't hear on NL. It is no more igbo built lagos, it is now creole built lagos. Lagos don suffer wallahi.

I agree with you. Are you happy now.

Please tell this Femi Fani-Kayode who had been claiming Creoles as Yoruba in his series of goofy rants.
Jonathan should sack that Sanusi
The method of the alleged letter from Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to Goodluck Jonathan proved the so-called governor of CBN lacked all the ingredients of professionalism required for such sensitive post. There is room for stupidity in such arena and GEJ should demand his resignation forthwith.

Orlando Owoh: I've not said Obasanjo is not corrupt. Should we because Obasanjo is corrupt say Jonathan shouldn't be asked to respond to the letter of Obasanjo? Is it not obvious that corruption is not the only thing Obasanjo mentioned. Al-Mustapha who was part of the killer squard of Abacha is currently out of the country yet nobody wants to know if he also the one training the killer squard of GEJ.
I want Goodluck Jonathan to respond to the OBJ's letter by arresting OBJ, Femi Fani-kayode, Mike Adenuga, Jimoh, Tinubu etc for corruptible offences. Al-Mustapha was wrongly accused by the Yoruba based newspapers and court had exonerated him and dismissed all charges.

If not that you are being wicked to your children and grand children that will suffer from the corruption in Nigeria, are you not supposed to be more focused on the letter of Obasanjo to Jonathan which touches on national issues, than this purportedly written by Iyabo to Obasanjo that is more of a family issue?
James Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo is corrupt beyond explanation with words. If you were honestly worried about the effects of corruptible practices by Nigerian leaders, you should not look beyond Obasanjo who had 12 good years to perpetrate the heinous crime on Nigerians. Goodluck Jonathan was a student when Obasanjo killed many Nigerians with his wickedness and corruption.

Sloan: Is your brain on vacation or completely missing? How can you expect someone doing her job and living her life in Massachusetts to at the same time be in the TV or Radio stations to rebut anything? Or you think she's jobless like you or the company she works for has been waiting for today to allow her to disappear to Nigeria within 6 hours because Guardian published a letter in her name?

Nigerians are becoming more stup.id or being blinded more and more by tribalism. I am not satisfied by the way OBJ ran his government and could have done more, and better at least in his succession plan. So, I am not an OBJ supporter, yet I am a Yoruba man! However, OBJ raised the same issues a lot of Nigerians have been crying about the only difference is these so called Nigerians have no voice and not even an ant would have paid attention to the letter if it was written exactly by them. That said, Iyabo's letter was a scanned copy of a photocopy, look at the darkened areas at the top left where the staple prevented a proper scan. It was not a PDF, it might have been converted afterwards. However, the onus of ensuring it was not a forgery was the responsibility of Guardian and her signature would be a good evidence in order for them to escape culpability but the letter is not even signed! What Iyabo should do is to institute legal action immediately on Guardian newspapers and make them prove that she wrote or sent them the letter. If an impostor got the better of Guardian, it is none of her business or problems: they must pay whatever penalty that arises out of this situation they created.
Slow,

Nigerians should pay little attention to whether Iyobo Obasanjo wrote the alleged letter or not. They should focus on the message of the letter. Everything said in the letter or even did not say is unquestionably true.

The same folks that informed us to focus and deliberate on the contents of alleged OBJ’s letter to GEJ instead of the messenger are now telling us to forget the alleged letter from Iyob to her father. Certain section of Nigeria is known for double-talk and the presence of letters allegedly from the Obasanjos has reconfirmed a strait we already know about the people.
Politics › Re: I Did Not Write Any Letter To My Father-iyabo Obasanjo by DerideGull(m):
Nigeria is filled to brink with bunch of fools. The cross section that now believed Iyabo Obasanjo did not write the alleged letter to her father had already believed that OBJ wrote the alleged letter to GEJ when OBJ has not said a word about the letter. Yet rumor had it that OBJ had a get together with GEJ in Kenya few days after the existence of OBJ’s letter was made public.

It is apparently silly to believe the validity of one letter and disregard another. Nigeria is practical joke.

thoth: I see Nigerians rejoicing at separation, it will be a strategic loss not only to Nigerians but to Africans, The architects of this maneuver has eventually succeeded in psychologically guiding people to where they want them to be. At this moment it seems like the only solution though I rather say it is the lazy man's only solution.
What many has not done so far is to find the root cause of the failure of the Nigerian experiment because I strongly believe that same actors have already preprepared ahead of time and put their assets and spies/puppets in place to dominate, control, exploit the much weaker nations which will come out as a result of this breakup, it will be far more worse than under Nigeria and far more atrocious.
Let we Africans for once do things like intelligent people.
Disintegration of Nigeria can not and will never amount to strategic loss to Nigerians or Africans. What strategic position does Nigeria occupy in Africa? Nigeria is a country that can not deform a plastic material yet you have strategic in the same sentence with Nigeria. Nigerians should endeavor to take trips out of the jungle called Nigeria in order to realize the degree of emptiness about the country.
