realestniggah:As in the thing dey fly like Air peace. Very fast |

panafrican:Lol. Iran is a big bone in their throat. |
Governments and multinational bodies impose economic sanctions to try to alter the strategic decisions of state and nonstate actors that threaten their interests or violate international norms of behavior but the question is do these sanctions produce their desired results? Iran has been under US sanctions since 1979 revolution and this country was still able to build one of the most powerful militaries in middle east and it is ranked as the 14th most powerful military in the world. As the country's economy continue to receive death blows from the United States the Iranian government isn't showing any sign of capitulation even this economic warfare has emboldened the regime in Iran. As a response to this the country has been scaling back its commitment to the JCPOA deal. I can say the sanction is pushing the regime towards getting a nuclear weapon. RUSSIA After the annexation of Crimea by the Russian federation US and EU countries rolled out series of sanctions on Russia but as usual it emboldened Vladimir Putin by going into Syria to prop up Assad's regime which was met with sanctions too but the government in Russia didn't succumb to all these western sanctions. The world has seen a more assertive Russia. Venezuela, Cuba, Noth Korea are countries that have shown defiance to US/western sanctions. When you sanction a country ordinary civilian suffer the effect unlike the political elites who have amassed wealth for themselves Do sanctions produce their desired result or the opposite? |
patwilly:6 months? NATO has been battling the Taliban of Afghanistan since 2001. The war on terror is not a conventional warfare, when you attack these terrorists brace yourself up for counter attack, they have people joining their ranks everyday and they are highly motivated. But Nigeria can still do better if it has good intelligence gathering. That is what Nigerian military lacks. |
That won't stop the Houthis from launching a successful strike on the kingdom in the future. |
The number one MOG in Nigeria. Thank you Sir |
I'm happy for him. |
Middle of the highway The must be high on something, the main reason they went to the highway |
The Sanction tool does not make sense anymore, US has abused it so much. They would even sanction any country that purchases arms from Russia under their CAATSA act, they way they sanctioned Chinese arms firms after China got SU-35 and S-400 from Russia. The sanctions don't yield its desired result. Has Maduro given up power? Sanctions have emboldened Iran the more. Sanction that did not force Russia to return Crimea it even emboldened Putin by entering the Syrian war. Sanction is now a toy in the hands of America. |
Magician. Ok o |
I pray Nigerian police won't come and kill them too while protesting. |
HarryDuce:That's it bro. |
Abalado:Fayose paid wetin all? Even Fayose owed 2 months salary before leaving and he refused to pay the 2 months Fayemi owed in 2014 before leaving office making it 4 months salary arrears. |
ehirosplusbiz:Good development? It will increase tensions in the gulf any miscalculation could cascade into a horrible conflagration. A country that couldn't defeat a non-state actor the Houthis, a country that couldn't detect and intercept drones with her sophisticated air defence system is joining a military coalition to protect oil shipping in the gulf? Would that stop the Houthis from launching their drones and missiles against Saudi targets in the future? The kingdom should just accept her defeat in Yemen and focus on defending her air space from future attacks. |
Saudi Arabia joined a U.S.-led coalition to secure sea lines vital to oil shipping in the Middle East in the aftermath of a devastating attacks on Aramco’s oil facilities. The International Maritime Security Construct’s area of operation covers the Strait of Hormuz, the world’s most critical waterway for oil supplies, the Strait of Bab al-Mandab, the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf. The move aims to support efforts to thwart threats to trade as well as guarantee energy security, the state-run Saudi Press Agency reported. A showdown between Iran and the Trump administration after the U.S. pulled out of the 2015 nuclear agreement with the Islamic Republic has threatened shipping in the region. Attacks on tankers and drones prompted the U.S. to call for a coalition of allies to protect ships passing through the area. About 40% of the world’s seaborne oil travels through the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. and U.K. have stepped up their military presence in the region amid calls to ensure the waterway remains open. The International Maritime Security Construct task force is headquartered in Bahrain, and its members include the U.S., the U.K., Australia as well as the host country. Shaped like an inverted V, the waterway connects the Persian Gulf to the Indian Ocean, with Iran to its north and the United Arab Emirates and Oman to the south. Its shallow depth makes ships vulnerable to mines, and the proximity to land -- Iran, in particular -- leaves large tankers open to attack from shore-based missiles or interception by fast patrol boats and helicopters. Russia is ready to help Saudi Arabia following attacks on the Saudi oil industry if needed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said after talks with leaders of Turkey and Iran in Ankara on Monday, and proposed Russian weapons for purchase. “We are ready to provide respective assistance to Saudi Arabia, and it would be enough for the political leadership of Saudi Arabia to make a wise government decision - as the leaders of Iran did in their time by purchasing S-300 and as (Turkish) President (Tayyip) Erdogan did by purchasing the latest S-400 ‘Triumph’ air defense systems from Russia,” Putin said. These Russian weapons would protect any infrastructure facilities of Saudi Arabia, he added. Valkrie:Lmao. ![]() |
Begging us for what? That Nigerians should stop leaving their country or that air peace should bring those ones back. Mitchew |
kemicalreaction:What happened to their air defence systems? Saudi Arabia didn't detect these drones let alone firing a single shot. Saudi Arabia is eyeing the S-400 though but like Efewestern has said "Sophisticated weapons are useless in the hands of lazy, unmotivated, and highly undisciplined soldiers" . ![]() |
Biritiko:You are on the other side then ![]() |
Efewestern:I'll accept the fact that those systems are overrated. Saudi Arabia's military has to explain how 10 non-stealth drones were able to infiltrate their airspace without being detected or shot down by those systems. Were those guys watching the radars sleeping? |
