How did Iran bring war to their backyard? US pulled out of a deal major world powers initiated and started moving military assets to the region a year after please who is the aggressor here? Iran has made it clear she doesn't war and if US pulled first blood they would defend themselves i believe it is moral and right for a sovereign nation to defend itself from aggression.

You only came up here quoting how the US suffered thousands of military casualties. Why don’t you quote millions of both military and civilian casualties that Vietnam suffered.

The US pulled out of Vietnam after millions of Vietnamese were killed. The US casualties was nothing close to Vietnamese casualties. So now you want the same thing to happen again in Iran.

You talked about US killing millions of Vietnamese, killing millions in war isn't victory. The question is was US able to achieve her aims and objectives of entering the war? US entered that war just because they wanted to stop communist North Vietnam from annexing and uniting capitalist South Vietnam under communism but US failed miserably. They pulled out because the pressure at home was too much and the continued loss of American lives in a needless war. The North continued her offensive after US pulled out and later united the South till today. US adventure in Vietnam was a fiasco

Victory can be said to have been achieved in war if you are able to achieve your aims and objectives. It doesn't come with the number of people you have bombed we all know war takes lives. Look at Afghanistan US is now the one mediating between the Taliban and Afghan govt because they want to pull out of their entanglement in Afghanistan, the Taliban they have bombed for years. Has US been able to defeat the Taliban? NO

Saudi arabia has been battling the houthis in Yemen since 2015 they have not been able to defeat Houthi forces infact Saudi has been defeated. Houthi that does not have military planes. Saudi is entangled in Yemen it's difficult to pullout.

The global hawk drone which Iran downed is not a stealth aircraft and stealth is not and never has been invisibility, but it does offer greatly delayed detection so that a fighter or bomber can engage a target and leave before the enemy has time to react.

The fact that Mr Trump called off the strikes shows US is guilty here, that drone entered Iranian airspace. You can't attack US military assets unprovoked without a retaliatory response from the US.

Iran could have taken the case to UN that America violated its airspace but for them to have shot that drone that should tell you the Islamic republic if fully prepared for a full confrontation with the US. Violating a sovereign airspace is an act of aggression. I don't know what US derives in war this issue can be resolved diplomatically
