Llandudno started the season with a dismal performance against a poorer team to crash out of a Welsh Cup competition. This was followed by a 1-1 draw against Newtown in their first league match of the season and question marks began to rise over their preparedness for the season. However, the next four matches were against the top five teams of the previous season and Chyko's men won all four fixtures with two goals scored against each opponent. The season is indeed back on track! They're sitting quite nicely on top of the pile Ghana continued their new found brilliance under Chyko with two more wins against Uganda and Congo, with Atsu running the show in both games. Ghana climbs three spots up in the World Rankings after this win.

Chyko's Ghana squad suffered two back-to-back friendlies defeats to Croatia and Russia although that was expected. However, they managed to surprise Serbia with a 1-0 away friendly win. Hopefully, they will be ready to play their way through the World Cup Qualifiers within the next three months. Llandudno struggled to get any solid player on loan as almost 95% of their transfer offers were turned down. However, Des Chyko secured McCaul (winger) and Kurtis (midfielder) in deals amounting to £8k. Meanwhile Llandudno were drawn against St Johnstone in the Europa First Round Qualifying and they managed to edge past them on away goals with Liam Dawson producing a masterclass performance in the second leg. They weren't so lucky against Trnava as a 2-0 away loss saw Llandudno crash out of the competition despite giving a good account of themselves. They now focus on familiar foes as they hope to build on last season's performance.

LLANDUDNO SEASON SUMMARY: With the club desperate to make European football, the board hired rookie Chyko to turn things around. And this he did, not without its difficulties though. He was able to transform a team battling with relegation to one fighting for the top honours. From being 4 points off relegation with an average 0.29 points per game under the former manager, Llandudno came back roaring to finish 5 points from top spot, averaging 0.59 points per game. They won their last two fixtures, the game against Bala in particular, a delight and evidence of Chyko's ingenuity. Llandudno have faced Bala four times this season before this meeting; drawing one and losing the rest, conceding 8 goals in the process. This was a battle to be won for Llandudno and they turned up nicely for the game. With Sam Hart marking out star man for Bala, Chris Venables, Chyko's men exploited the spaces left by Bala as well as preventing them from playing their game; a 4-0 win the verdict. The season thus ended on a good note but the main challenge lies ahead where they will be building on this performance and probably get a reward for a good job well done. ![]()

A return to the clubside saw Chyko pick up his first managerial award of his career as Manager of the Month for guiding Llandudno to a resurgent form.. However, their form capitulated as they failed to continue the winning streak. However, they remained two points from top spot in second position. Chyko was allowed to continue his reign at Ghana and he turned things around in his next game, reorganizing the twam setup, with Ghana thrashing Egypt 4-0 with a lot of positives from the game. This performance satisfied the Ghana FA, giving them the belief that perhaps Chyko could prove them right in his appointment.

The African Cup of Nations was trailed with so many disappointing performances and results for Des Chyko's men. They could only manage one win in four games. After managing to qualify for the next round, Algeria ended the run. The manager felt very unsatisfied with the contributions of the bigger players in the team when it mattered, especially with their wonderful feats last season. The board are convinced it's the manager's fault though. They're beginning to feel theu made a big mistake appointing a rookie for such job. It is believed the next few games will seal his fate; that's if he stays that long.
|
With the manager motivation and players' dedication, the new year began with a 4-2 win over Connah's Quays, against whom a 1-1 was played in the last game of the previous year. Safe to say the hard work paid off as the team recorded five straight wins on the bounce, the last of which was a 1-0 win over League leaders, Bangor City courtesy a cameo strike from 88th minute substitute, Walsh. These results moved Llandudno to within one point of the league leaders

Chyko's managerial exploits in Ghana ended on a perfect note. He recorded a 100% win in all six games. This inspired him to work hard at his club career. The Nations Cup was due the next month and he confirmed his squad which the media found pleasing. Despite Llandudno having really poor facilities. Chyko put his boys hard at training. Since he woild be making frequent trips in and out of the club facility to attend to both managerial duties, he didn't want to leave anything to chance. The board seemed fine with how the club has progressed under Chyko's reign so it'ld be best if he get things to become better.
|
After setting up his Llandudno team according to their strengths which was still very much pathetic, Chyko still couldn't get a first win. His first two games ended in a draw and the third was a defeat to Goyte which proved to be a turning point. While trailing 3-0, Des Chyko altered his team tactics midway and it spurred a late rally from his men and the game ended 3-2. He decided to implement that change into his team's tactics. This got him his first win of his club managerial career, a last minute Buckley strike securing an away victory for Llandudno. Subsequent results were not all that impressive; but the team was playing better and the boys were trai ing hard at improving themselves and their mastery of the formation. After losing the next match to Rhys, the team went five games unbeaten, 4 draws and a win to finish the first half of the season in 8th position.

More wins with that formation for Ghana and Chyko will obviously be getting more confident of his decision making. Ghana secured two more victories. He took his first coaching exams outside school and ended up passing to get a Bronze coaching level in Attacking. Elsewhere, his agent advice paid off. An obscure club offered him the reins and he grabbed the chance before he got to examine the situation. As a shocker, he will get no transfer funds whatsoever. He got the bigger shock when he assessed the team's previous games.. They've won only 3 in 14 games. They have accumulated an average of 0.29 points per game. Chyko will have to do better than this or he'll go same way the previous manager did. He was desperate to succeed.
|
Chyko's first match as manager is coming up. He has reservations about this formation, but he is simply making use of what is at his disposal. His team will take on Botswana. And what a game it turned out to be! Despite Gyan giving a bad impression of himself, Andre Ayew rose up to the occasion to ensure Chyko started his reign with a win. This was followed by a victory over Guinea. As a result, Ghana moved up in the rankings.
|
And so Chyko applied for the Ghana and Ivory Coast jobs; desperate to put his knowledge and skills into practice. The Ivory Coast FA didn't take two glances at his documents before tossing it into the trash can but Ghana FA decided to give him a try. I'm sure he'ld have taken the Ghana job without pay, given how desperate he was. Shortly, his signing was announces and he immediately set to work. The past manager didn't have such a bad run..unbeaten in three games with two wins. However, after weeding out the 'underpreforming' players, I was left with so many midfielders and few players of other positions. I had to figure a way to use the versatile midfielders in abundance and in other positions too. I ended up with a 3-4-1-2

A rookie manager Des Chyko has just completed his course in the Coaching school. However good his grades were, he has 'zero experience' for the only telling proof of his identity asa coach was just his certificate. And that doesn't impress a lot of clubs and countries. He hasn't been labelled bad though, until he takes over a real club or country. Well, his agent advised him to look in the market frequently so as to see job availability and apply quickly to beat off competition. This Chyko did and more.. He secretly prayed that a coach falls out of favour with their coach and give him a trial. Someone has to take a fall for me to come in ![]()

This challenge was my invention to simulate a real life scenario of an unknown manager's climb to the top. A life-in-the-shadows top that is. No matter how good you get, you may never get to manage an European top dog club. The aim is to take any club you manage to glory before you may leave! Except you are sacked. This however, doesn't apply to your country managing exploits though. The rules are pretty simple. 1. You will manage any club in a league without a lower tier: Australia, Wales, Ireland or N. Ireland leagues only. 2. You must start unemployed and without any coaching badge. 3. You must not use any unlockable even if it is achieved in the game, they remain off till the end of the career. 4. No restarts or editing on the save files. It's a real thing. 5. You must win at least a trophy for your club before you move on.

Piiko:As you can see, this opinion fails to hold as this broke man here was entitled to an erection, an intercourse, a fertilization and proof of a job well done ![]() |
Who has time for protest? I will quietly quit my job when TRCN becomes a bother and go into business. Plans are already underway. When I've made have enough money to pay someone to 'teach' me what I already know/was born with, then I may enrol for another year in the ivory tower so I can continue my passion. And probably effect a change in this boring one-sided Nigerian system of education. |

fynestpotato:Error of overgeneralization. If you can fend for your family and are mentally prepared for the compromises that marriage/family demands, that's all about it. |
A student with that nice writing who understand the process of dividing through should be able to understand what Sine is and its implications. All I see is a cheap attempt to create humour. Me looking at the similarities between the S in Sin and the S in See ![]() |
