The wiser thing the FG would have done was to go public with the fact that NLC's division was detrimental to the proceedings if that isn't a lie. But I won't put it beyond them to actually court both parties independently. This government has not been exactly expert in their dealings |

GOOD ONE THERE!! LET THEM ACT FAST. SO MANY COs GETTING FAT ON THEIR SUBORDINATES' SWEATS. ![]() |
ki02020:Abi? Remember that one when a customer refuses to pay for a service you rendered o! Or if your boss refuses to pay you for a misdemeanour. They reserve the right not to pay ![]() |
Lol.. I'm not trying to be tribal in any sense, but trust me when I say this. If it were about the Igbos, even if they weren't interested in the strike, this statement is enough to make sure this strike turns out to be the biggest and greatest strike ever. Take a cue from the 'lagoon' talk and the outcome in Lagos polls. |
Hahaha.. Dictatorship is here to stay. So much for believing in CHANGE. Rubbish |
KashyBaby:Everyone born in January don't love sex ![]() |
And if the 'sex' doesn't work out at that moment, instead of both of you looking for a solution together, the 'faulty' person will be left alone to look for a solution to his/her problem right? So much for being serious about each other. Sex before marriage tests your faith in your Creator. If you trust him to be in control of your destiny, you wouldn't need to panic over his choices for you. I think it's just not proper. The truth must be said even if we don't follow it ![]() |
Na person wey no sabi Alaba Int'l na im dey buy rubbish earpiece. Buy either NEC or SENNHEISER, before na #300 but na #400 now because of dollar. The product is nice. And the wire lasts. I just bought this one three months ago when I lost the last one.

How the hell did he manage such feat against these 'uncheatable' banks? |
You know, I'm an advocate of abortion if the child cannot be given a proper and comfortable upbringing. But that's just words because when you see the foetus, a victim of abortion, you can't help but feel this anger at the people responsible. It was probably never ever meant to be right. ![]() |
So, is his ruling false or right? I don't get the point. |
In spite of this, I don't see why he should deactivate his account because of a juvenile bet. This is a faceless forum, not a realistic part of your existence. I think the both of you are attaching too much importance to a secondary part of your life. From your picture, you should be old enough to realise it is not every challenge that you must rise to. From your picture though. I could be wrong. |

ThisYourTatafo:Honestly, since it's a contribution to replace a faulty equipment, I think you should just pay up. Aside from avoiding trouble, transformer maintenance fee wasn't included in the rent. However, you must know when to draw the line, and how much you will pay out of the 2k. |
It's not the end of the world. He can reverse the vasectomy; but the cost depends on a number of factors. He can get it done at around N4million irrespective of the complications. But if it's all green light, he can do it for N700k. South Africa prices though. |
Was your electricity bill included in the house rent? |
Poor sacrifices of politicians greedy cause. Victim of the last fuel subsidy protest.

The main wahala is to afford it. Over there, they comfortably pay for them. Here?? Problem. |
*in Mynd44's voice* Complaints should be mailed to the mods. You don't need to open a thread for that. |
Na Delta be this or my eye dey deceive me? |
franugo:Not at all. The credit is for calls alone. #500 will get you #500 for calls, #500 for glo numbers and 500MB data valid for 7 days only. You can't subscribe with the cash. |
lalasticlala, can we have more audience on this? So that more reactions can be gotten and a possible channel to resolve this be exposed. |
I don't think the banning of 'betting' in particular is advised. People do that on their own. I've never shown interest in such here, so I tend to believe those who do such, do them because they enjoy it, not because Nairaland is one of the 'most comfortable' platform for such to be perpetrated. It's not like the persons involved are children. Other than the chats, no other exchange take place here, and if I'm not mistaken, there is a disclaimer in the frontpage. Hence, I interprete this decision as a means of getting rid of some kinds of people from this forum. |

Just when you think the advent of prepaid meter is a blessing to our power curse, there comes this rip off by PHCN that can only be classified as coporate robbery. Reminds me of 2shotz' 'Thief! Ole! Carry am go! of yesteryears. Long story cut short, a relative called me over the weekend that he'ld be returning to the country next month. He needed me to put his place in order, and since I helped him oversee the installation of his prepaid meter, that I should purchase power airtime for him. The last time he recharged was in December 2012. I went to PHCN (EEDC) office close to my vicinity to offset the bills and what I encountered there opened my mind to one of the reasons these people are lax with providing adequate power supply. I paid a fee in excesses of #22,000 in the name of service charge for a house that has not used power for almost 30 months. This amount is not even related to the money paid to buy power airtime for the building. So, my point is this: If they are sure of getting #750+ from each house monthly as service charge, that means in a state like Lagos, they will be getting about #54,000,000,000 every year (#54 billion) whether or not these places had power supply. The fees paid for the power supply is different from this service charge. Perhaps the best way to bring out the best of service from these 'friendly fraudsters' is to pay by the hour. Suppose the 750 is the monthly charge, let it be billed per hour, i.e: about #1.50 per hour so that they will only get paid when they offer the service instead of a standing charge for poor or zero service. Even with this, the service charge totals a little over #1,000, but as long as they work for it, who really minds? |
Is this bad for Fayose? He won his elections with a margin of 82,557. Subtract 5,000 and answer the question. Bonus: Subtract another 50,000 and he still wins. Meanwhile, which one be staff-in-law? |
Shaftrod:In reaction to the comments that the FG has invited them to dialogue, the question is who was appointed to oversee the dialogue? Is it not foolhardy to expect all of them to board a bus straight to Aso Rock for a dialogue? Moreover, the stance of the FG has been zero-tolerance for their existence, expect no favours from either side until things change. Having spent some good time around these communities, I understand their plight and it does not end with giving them money. The cycle will repeat itself. It's about the FG caring for more than just the profits from these regions. I've watched the oil money leave barge by barge everyday, witnessed the educated denied their slots and also witness the indigenes wallow in abject poverty and complete lack of amenities. This will not be resolved by giving orders from high places. The hatred has been ingrained in the youths, in the children. It will take more than brutal force to convince them that the country means well for them. |
