I'm against any move against deregulation. Let it be done once and for all. If these misfits that are now advocating for it had been sensible enough four years ago, we won't be in this position that we are now. It's this politics of hate that is our main enemy in governance.

It may have been accommodating to understand why they moved against it in 2012 because we were buying fuel @ #65. Now, we're even buying at more than #145, so let them go ahead.

Meanwhile, those political figures that repelled this gesture years ago, but are now celebrating it, shame on you.

Lol.. Absurd to say but I was 'green-lighted' by this lady when I was 18. Didn't even grab what it was until almost a year later. Lol grin

We were working in the same organisation (on SIWES IT) when she'ld always seek my opinions and conversation at the expense of others and even the job. Soon, we were always going home together. She'ld sometimes sit on my legs at work, give me the puppy-eye thing or hold my arm during the walk to the bus stop which I find embarrassing but I really thought nothing romantic of it. The climax of it all was leaving crazy notes in my bag and eventually, when I was due to return back to school, I had to plead and beg her heavily before she actually let me go home. It was embarrassing doing all that on the road. I'm quite sure it was because of us that midnight calls were reviewed. Perhaps there's the reason they say ladies mature emotionally before guys

It was many months later that I began to think about how desirable she looked and all that, but by then, there was no way to contact her. grin

The only difference I see is that the military would not have engaged in a reprisal illogical attack if we were still under CIVILIAN RULE.

Most of the problems in Nigeria today are from the fallout of the stolen funds from the >$100/barrel oil windfall that GEJ's government enjoyed for almost 4 years...If GEJ was still president as we speak, it is most likely that IMF would have been giving us orders on when to eat dinner and how many square meals a day because the country would have been so broke.

If you all don't blame GEJ who will? 'ifs' and 'would have beens' doesn't account for the present.
Nigeria good today, na we e affect. E bad today, na still we e affect. Therefore, the issues raised are not just lingering, but worse now under the saint.

I'm very sure he didn't have today's scenario in mind while castigating the past administration. But it's well. The lesson has been learnt.

2. He was screaming pathetically that Nigeria dropped to 122 on Prosperity Index under GEJ last rule (2014). Have you checked the ranking this year? Nigeria dey 125 now o

It was actually my sister who had this terrible experience with an Ecobank staff in Anambra State University named Obinna who works in Western Union section. She came in to make a withdrawal that was sent in via Western Union. Some documents were demanded that she didn't have so she couldn't make the withdrawal immediately. The supposedly 'kind-hearted' Obinna decided to help her out of her predicament by giving her #1,000 so she could hold up till the next time she could make the withdrawal. She believed he just gave it to her to help her.
On the day she went to get the cash, Obinna told her that she'll buy him lunch o, which she interpreted as a banter as they both laughed over it. So she eventually got the cash and left. Since then, she has been going to the bank, no hassles.
On this particular day, she went to the bank with a male friend and she was stopped by the security guard, who questioned her if she was owing anyone in the bank. She was quite embarrassed, and said no. The guard pointed at the man, and she began to explain what transpired between them. Suddenly, Obinna came and was insulting her, calling her a thief for running away with his money. She quickly sourced and gave him the #1,000, after which she left the bank.

What actually went wrong was this. Obinna was hoping to use his gestures to GET HER but it didn't work out, hence his barbaric behaviour. Bankers in Ecobank don't wear name tags, but he was already giving out his name when he doesn't work in Customer Service. Very silly he-goat.

I think you went extreme and insulting him is very much uncalled for. It would have been better if you minded your business and faced your life without WASTING your time and effort commenting. He is 23, not 40. It's better to ask questions and not make a grave mistake than to play bravado know-it-all and live the rest of one's life reflecting on 'what ifs'

It's a matter of choice though. Just figure in your monthly expenses on food, utilities and frivolities in addition to your monthly house rent. Add in your savings for educational, investments and infrastructural projects. Compare them to your monthly earnings and see if it comfortably fits. It would be laughable if you have to come back to what you were running from due to poor planning.
