Texas.Cowgirl:That's because all the rich ibo people reside in festac. |
FSU: Only if they don't pay taxes, levies and other exhorbitant, Fasola-imposed fees that most Yoruba cannot payBut isn't that sheer stup1dity? Why pay taxes and levies to an illegal government? That ibos make up 99% of Lagos citizenry is undisputed. That the have to pay taxes for their own land to an unrecognised government is travesty! What do you think? |
FSU: I hear Fasola is fixing the Festac Grammar school (for Igbos). Don't worry he will soon fix these bad Festac roads for Igbos.I don't think ibos need Fashola's charity - do you? |
Sorry, but isn't festac town ibo owned? Weren't they clamouring for their own state sometime ago? |
Choi! |
spyder880: I loved the spring on the steps of these boys, they are well cared for by the state government, new track suits, new canvass, new caps for all of them and they were driven to this stadium (their stadium) in their air conditioned buses.Lol...are you for real? ![]() |
Ola one: Deso!Obirin meta le n ke si. |
Eko ile must win the most relevant; most consistent poster of all time! I am just loving this guy! ![]() |
Eko ile the nemesis! I swear you no well o. Your uppercuts na fire! Totally loving this thread! |
Afam4eva: Let me help you...Before there was nigeria, there was natve law and custom and this is recognised by the constitution and indeed part of the constitution. Why do you think there exists customary courts? |
OAM4J: She was not just the mother of Tinubu, long before Tinubu became known, joined NADECo, became a senator and later a governor, there was a powerful Iyaloja of Lagos, Alhaja Abibat Mogaji. And very active during June 12 saga if I may add. She even bared her blossoms and said she and the market women in Nigeria would march to aso rock and curse babangida if he does not restore the people's mandate. It was not only shown on tv but in newspapers then. Who was tinubu then? Maybe a rising politician. |
Afam4eva: This invariables means that people were forced to stay away from the markets which is not constitutional.Jesu olugbala! When did it become fashionable to think with the anus na? What has constitution got to do with tradition nitori oloun? |
ilugunboy: I want to give him the benefit of doubt that he genuinely didn't know and that he is not just trying some mischiefOk 0, give alayonbere a chance o. When it turns to snake oyo lo ma wa. |
Afam4eva: If she was the head of the market then it may be understandable but i want to know if the market people were forced or they just chose to...For instance, if i sell tomato in a market and i choose to go to the market on that day, what will happen?Nothing much other than your family might be looking for hospital deposit to secure a bed and for treatment. As for your tomatoes, lasisi's wife would do it justice by making it into a nice fried fish ata didin to accompany the fluffy ofada rice he shall be treated to for dinner. A trial might convince you sha. |
ilugunboy: Afam...you've been in Yorubaland for long...so this your comment is very disappointing.I'm even disappointed that you thought it was disappointing. |
Afam4eva: I don't know what bearing this has on the topic. That something has been going on for so long doesn't make it right. Is she like the head of market people or what?Oh no! It didn't just ask that question again! No it didn't! |
Afam4eva: I just went outside and noticed that most markets were closed and i was wondering why until someone told me that Tinubu's mother was dead. How can markets in lagos be shot down because of a single human being. I don't think this is right.Five pages down the line and something comes to ask a stup1d question?? Seun, you see yourself? See those whom you appointed as awodi? |
Dudu_Negro: You are edgy because your claim of being a Yoruba is in question here. On the internet anyone can claim Yoruba and the proofing of identity in NL is impractical. However, if you do not want to loose your integrity here, given your past claims of Yoruba identity, it will benefit you to concile your Yoruba roots. Every respected Yoruba person here has agreed to the cultural relevance of Iyaloja. You are the lone wolf who maintains dissent. The burden of proof is on you.You get time to lecture that thing? |
What impunity! How can these minority Yoruba people dictate to us in the land of our ancestors and in a state where we form the majority? Did I read someone say Alaba and Ladipo were also closed? Impossicant!! |
Shebi Alaba and Ladipo are open. |
Sh1t! I'm so bloody excited for this! |
DaLover: Shebi you have never been to the east, you have just exposed your ignorance, imo produces a lot or lot for nigeria!Show me some data, Biko. |
iwanchop: Desola,Imo is actually an oil(crude oil) producing stateI didn't know that - since when? |
Abagworo: I'm from an oil producing community in Imo State but just like most Imolites I'm enlightened enough to know that with our present constitution, the oil belongs to Nigeria. You people should join us in demanding for true federalism where States will source for their running funds and land use act amended to favour the families and communities.Sorry, we're talking of crude oil here not palm oyel. Thank you. |
Muhehehe...excuse me laugh abeg. You wan cause katakata with this yua kweshon o. |
Andre Uweh: The only way to draw out Yoruba bigots is to post any thing Igbo. These guys are so full of hatred even in their arteries.Jealousy! We are 99.9% of Lagos. Go back to igbiraland where you hail from. |
Policewoman: MODs pls permit me to say this but i think some Yorubas in this forum are proving to us beyond reasonable doubt that they are the most selfish and tribalistic tribe in this country. Just watch their comments.Exactly! Very selfish people which is why we are infiltrating their lands to show them how t be more generous. They are the most inhospitable people on earth and if not for our descendants; the Aworis that kept Lagos for us, we would not have been able to return to our ancestral land- Lagos. Look at our region, the Yorubas are all over there in their numbers. That goes to show how accomodating we are. |
Wow! We are the greatest! Look at how awa son is just commissioning upon commissioning. |
Blue-eyed boi:see...we have colonised all you Yorubas, that is why you speak our language even more fluently than yours. Please stop speaking ibo and stick to your oil soup amala Yoruba. Thank you in advance. |
EasternLeopard: To all my Igbo brothers, let ceasefire. D truth is that the Yorubas never organised a pogrom against we Igbos during June 12. Rather they pleaded dat we join them but we refused due 2 past treachery. Pls we Igbos makeup btw 40%-50% of Lagos population & not 90%I don't know what the matter is with Yorubas? Why are you so jealous? why do you like diminishing our numbers just to hide the truth? Everybody knows that we make Lagos tick, we are the majority and that is why our son is the governor of Lagos. I said earlier before that Aworis are really Ibos and that is why Fashola is our son. It shows that we are the majority. if you go to ladipo market, we are all over the place, we own all the land there and its environs. How about daleko market? If you look under the bridges and all the nooks and crannies of Lagos, you would see us with our 'bend down select' and our used goods. We are the kings in this sectors. Anything substandard and you would see us there. We trade in all manner of goods, be it fake drugs and hard drugs too. So what are we talking about? Look at the ekenedilishuku buses everyday and see the number of our brothers who keep coming back to their original land. How then can you tell me that we are only 40-50% only? you are a liar. Next election, we would put another of our sons Ben Nwabueze in the seat of the govenor to prove to you that we have returned to claim our land. Yorubas should go back to Biafra, that is where you all really belong, that downtrodden region is where you really come from. |
