Eko Ile: This is real massacre.... Poor afam and his bigoted ways.. that's odiousness oozes out of his pores liked infectious disease...Total annihilation! I love it ! |
Ola Johnson: Is it because he is not refering to Chinua Achebe? How was the sit-at-home exercise of Saturday, and hope you're not observing a stand-in-the-sun exercise to get customers/clients to make up Saturday's loss? Just asking, as a caring guy.Lol |
Abali1: PROUDLY AKOKITE.Lol, what an irony! |
Abali1: I HATE AZZ LICKERS. Make your own intelligent retort, abi you no get 'common sense'? justasking.Anything else will be mere parroting of that which has been intelligently written by the amiable madam. Sheer writing if a genius that was. Why water it down? At the moment, I'm in awe of an intelligent female poster. Please allow me to bask in the euphoria. |
madam_oringo: Well, give that advice to yourself, you need it MORE! Prof. Soyinka has no reason to argue, he was there, live, were you? Are you so bereft of mental capacity not to know that by declaring which day is the REAL Democracy day, June 12, he is telling YOU and NIGERIANS which day is the RIGHT ONE? Or do you expect him to descend to the level of a toddler mind like you to say, "here is the R-I-G-H-T and here is the W-R-O-N-G", etc? So everything OBJ did is right when it feeds into the hatefest frenzy of Ibos towards the Yorubas, a people they can not like because they boss them COMPLETELY, without even arguing or seeming to pay attention to Ibos always trying to "measure-up"? Well, OBJ was right in spending N 16 Tr for roads during his years including roads in ibo land, appropriating 60 B for your still-born 2nd Niger bridge which is yet to even see a single shovel digging the ground? I hope he was right in those circumstances too!Very intelligent retorts from you madam! |
Ajumo mo ko, ojumo mo ni. Why couldn't he just leave it at the befitting name given by Aregbe. Just trying to out do sha! Anyway, if I see them throw another yeye unnecessary party to launch this thing again I would make a formal complaint! |
smartchoice: Just give us a Christian for Lagos governor come 2015.You'd have to move to your home state for that, sorry. |
billyoung: If this is true, can someone upload recent pictures of the ongoing construction and construction workers. I remember the Lagos State govt said it would be completed in June (the blue line, that is). https://www.nairaland.com/1156265/lagos-light-rail-ready-june/3Yes o, I wanna see pishos too. |
Katsumoto: What a load of rubbish. Are these incendiary comments really necessary? If you get away with such moronic comments in the religion and Islam sections, do not bring them to the politics section because you will be taken to task. I have no patience for religious bigotry from any section. Do not try to drive a wedge between Yoruba Christians and Muslims with such ludicrous comments. You have been warned. The boy is a Shia Muslim hence his extremist views. |
eGuerrilla: If there ever was a case for developing an increased sense of urgency towards economic diversification", this is it.. Indeed! |
emiye: Mr PDP apologist ! Why are you so bitter? PDP is a forgone issue in the SW region.Ase wa! |
Kenyanstar: Those hating KENYANS for being what they love and enhancing their culture are just being ignorant of the fact that Kenya is way better than they can ever be..... Having a space program or whatever you suggest as car assembly factory, what value does manufacturing add to the common man's state of affairs. Kenya and the people of this beautifull people and its government are rebuilding the country to prosperity for the benefit of its future generations.... take a look,Tell them ojare! |
yeboyes: Biafra is not pointless, please split Nigeria so Biafra can be independent and the rest of us can govern ourselves as well. What, didnt you lot celebrate you independence on nov 5 of 2012? |
What for? To assist the malians in perfecting the art of corruption? |
Could Fash be our new age Awolowo? I'm thinking so. Lets return to regionalism and make this man our leader Abeg! He is just three much! |
This is lovely. I am so far impressed by the doings of the ACN governors. I just hope that they maintain this same momentum so that Ondo can open their eyes to the treacherous fool they installed as governor. I used to tout for that swine but now I know better. ACN all the way! For as long as they continue to be true though. I would cast my vote to change them at the drop of a hat if they show signs of going the PDP way. Sai Yoruba land! |
slimghost: Now i know why someone posted this about you "I know you are very slow on intellectual exercise but very quick to certain human endeavors".if it took you that long to come to any realisation, then my deduction of you being the dimmest bulb was a stroke of genius. |
slimghost: For real. A rude awakening awaits you come 2019. As long as PDP presents an Igbo candidate come 2019, its over. We have waited for it patiently and now that we can feel it, no amount of threat, propaganda, blackmail or sabotage can stop us. That's why APC is a BIG NO NO for IGBOS. We can do without the Northerners block votes as long as we can pull up to 25percent in those states with block votes from SS and the middle belt. I hope you now see why backing GEJ is the best thing for us as per our political survival. ThanksOk, Ok, I see your point. You would obviously give your ibo candidate 100% vote, the SS would reciprocate the gesture as you did for gej in 2011 (based on the lasting relationship that has endured between these two regions(sarcasm))with 100% votes and the middle belts who are aggrieved by the north would tow the line just as they did during the civil war. Why didn't you just warn me that I was having a discourse with the dimmest bulb in the room? You could have saved me a lot of finger exercise this morning. Thanks for nothing! |
DerideGull: I know you are very slow on intellectual exercise but very quick to certain human endeavors. It is understandable you chose to adopt a weird lifestyle. In your previous post, you attempted to rope Ndigbo into the bad picture of hating anything Yoruba including the political party allegedly formed by Yoruba. You're getting there. I like that you summarily learnt to divide your points by the use of paragraphs, well done. You should be proud. As per your claim that Yorubas castigated the ibos for voting OBJ, I must say that this is news to me and if your royal bullshitness wouldn't mind, may I indulge in your bad naturedness to provide me with a link or excerpt of where Yorubas made such claims? Thanking you in advance. Also, you asserted that Yorubas would not vote ibos. Well, I cannot speak for the Yoruba race but what I as an individual can confirm is that I would vote a Northerner first before I would take a third look at an ibo person regardless of merit. Now, call me a tribalistic fool and i'll reply: "yes, yes, the cap fits". |
slimghost: And that would be? Truth is, APC wont even present a candidate of Igbo extraction so its safer for us to back GEJ come 2015 and wait for out turn in 2019. With GEJ in control of PDP, we can easily strike a bargain with him as per PDP presenting an Igbo candidate in 2019. Its a pity, its all about regional interest in Nigeria and i think my region will fare better under PDP. ThanksSeriously, you think you can actually strike a bargain with GEJ for him to put you forward for the next presidential election? Shall I give you a minute to think that over and perhaps re-write that sentence again? I thought you conceded to us discussing real issues, factual discourse which are based on a balance of probability? Except gej is able to pull a fast one like obj did with Yaradua but I doubt it very much as get is only brash but not bright. He always hastily and stupidly lays his decks on the table before others show their hands and is always outsmarted. Jonathan has tyrannical streaks but he is not very smart which is why he always ends up looking stupid and back tracking all the time. Cunningly, cleverly or systematically installing an ibo presidency would not only amount to the possible disposal of gej but would most probably be the end of Nigeria. The Hausa's would not stand for it and you know it. It is for them, once beaten, twice shy. Fool them once, shame on OBJ but fool them twice, shame on jonathan and good bye to peaceful co-existence. Biafra would have to be reformed before an ibo president can emerge in 2019. |
kaeto: GEJ will have our support in 2015 after which any of our own will be elected. You and I know Okorocha is being used by buhari and tinubu to split the SE votes to cut GEJ's wings come 2015, but their plans has backfired cos Igbos are wiser nowI think you're jumping the gun. This news has not been verified by the APC yet and I sure do hope and I would like to believe that APC would not be stupid enough to take such idiotic step as it is a known fact that the ibos are far more patriotic to jonathan than the SSouthers are to him. It would be easier to pick a deltan to run against gej than to pick an ibo man. The ibos giving get a 98% support and their deafening silence during the fuel subsidy protest, I hope did not go unnoticed by the APC. It would be political suicide to put forward an ibo candidate. APc might as well consider itself dead if it does that. |
DerideGull: Above poster is a typical example of what follows. Most Yoruba peeps are as good as chameleon. They claim to be first in everything yet dead last in all things. They could attempt to run away from themselves if it is humanly possible. It was not long ago the same loudmouthed halfwits castigated Ndigbo for massively voting for one of their sons into power. I remembered when these despicable cretins kicked OBJ to the political curb only be rescued by the astute sense of political approach by other southern Nigerians baring southwest region of Nigeria. Till date, no Yoruba has ever voted for Igbo person in any election in Nigeria period.Dede, I think you tried to say something there but your disability failed you. Nevermind, you can always try again. I couldn't quite make out what your argument was. Whether it is that the Yorubas always vote their own and would never vote ibos or that we castigated you for voting jonathan. I know that my Yorubaness might be a contributory factor in my very slow ability on the uptake but I am rest assured that your astute ability to meander through a political discourse would undoubtedly set me on the right path. Try again, please and i'll try harder to understand you this time as much as my intelligence would allow. |
slimghost: That's a blatant lie. We cant betray our own when we know he is competent and has a good chance of winning. The question is... Will APC leaders allow this?. Believe me, if APC can present Utomi, they would be sure of block votes from SE, guaranteed.Let's not lose our heads here and focus on that which is possible. It seems to me that you are trying to circumvent a cogent argument by stressing on the nomination of Utomi as the APC's presidential candidate when you know that it is virtually impossible. Impossible because no where has it been said that Utomi is a member of APC and we must be cognisant of the fact that based on the rotational presidency we appear to practice, the bringing forward of another candidate from the South South is well, for lack of a better word - "dead on arrival". Nigerian people, especially the south would not fold their arms while watching another South Southerner being voted to take their slot. With that cleared up, can we now focus on that which is possible and stop dancing around in the clouds? |
slimghost: Let me ask you something. Do you think that if PDP drops GEJ and picks an Igboman for 2015 that the yorubas and Hausas would support him? haba. lets be honest in our discourse my dear. All the regions want power and they don't really give a damn about competence. APC needs power by all means and it doesn't matter who PDP presents. For us in the SE, i believe GEJ has defended our interests to an extent but we still believe our "own" can do better but we need a real "igboman" and not a man whose interest is divided. Let APC present Utomi and you will see the difference.APC would be foolish to present utomi, not because he's not popular but because he is a south southerner first before being "ibo". For one, there is the notion that the I jaws constitute the majority in the SS and that other deltans do not see the delta ibos as true deltans so by default, the majority of the SS votes goes to Jonathan. However, if mainstream ibos get behind utomi despite him not being a core ibo man, then the balance could indeed be tipped but your hatred and distrust for anything Yoruba and the phobia for Hausa would far weigh you down which would make you go for the devil you know(Jonathan) rather than the angel you ought to know better. |
lord_mayor: As far as am concerned, no governor from the SE is worth to be president of this country, we better look inward if we need a true president not even only the ibos but countrywide ! None of the governors and I say none of them is worth or have merited it. What we need are democrats with moral values and not this wolves in sheep clothing. Nigeria has many good men both home and abroad to fill that gap and I don't care where the person comes from but let him just have a decent lifestyle and moral value and conscience !What you need us regionalism. Become formidable and other regions would respect you. Put all your chest beating and loud mouthed ness into action. Become the Japan of Africa in deed and not in boasts and you'll see how others would go quiet when you speak. Get your people out of other regions; get them to invest at home; to become patriotic by building your land. I know you can do it but rather, you prefer to merely say it. In essence, you lot need to earn the respect of others. |
slimghost: Not exactly Desola. Chime will thrash GEJ any day, anytime in the SE if presented by a big party, and so will Utomi.Utomi na ibo man again? Abeg leave matter, Gej has taken utomi's slot. Isn't chime the sick governor? Anyway, say chime was hail an hearty and contests for presidency, where would he get his votes from? The SS would not support you as they would see you as a hindrance to their ambition to retain power. The Yorubas might consider you in a very marginal number and the Hausas would most probably not give you support at all. So where would your winning numbers come from? I think you are stuck with Jonathan. Get as much as you can with him and be satisfied with you lot or pull all the stops out now and fight to win a war out of Nigeria. |
Okija juju: Shey the same vision he has shown in Imo State.. He should keep it in Imo State. If his people love him so much, they can make him their assembly man, reps or even state commissioner of anything..I join una say no to him o. May the ijaw people continue to outsmart you and diminate you for so long as Nigeria exists. |
dridowu: From what i read so far in ds thread, i have now realise dat the No 1 enemy of Igbos are " IGBOS ". If igbos should continue this way i would become Ex-President of this country before any igbo man/woman becomes the President of NigeriaNa hatred they seal their fate. They are so preoccupied by getting even with the Yorubas that they lose all sense of rationality. |
slimghost: Brother, i have nothing against his presidential ambition, but we must first know if he represents our interest or that of his hausa cousins.Whether he represents your interests or not, he cannot win. Your best bet remains Jonathan and you all know it. |
APC if this na your plan to field okorocha then una don score f9. Just kukuma crown the retarded one now. |
