Does Ribadu know anything about corruption?

If yes, why would he serve under one of the most corrupt dispensations in Nigeria. OBJ spent several billions of dollars to change the name NEPA to PHCN without any improvement in its services but Ribadu saw no corruption, OBJ and Atiku privatized Nigeria's corporations to themselves but Ribadu saw no corruption.

Let me not start calling names like Odili, Tinubu, Uzor Kalu, Attah, etc who before Ribadu did no wrong. ACN is running the worst political campaign imaginable; they are running on the precepts of anti-corruption when their candidate was just a political weapon during one of the most corrupt dispensations in Nigeria's history. PDP/GEJ could not have prayed for a more fragile opposition; they will loose woefully come April.

My advice to Ribade - NEVER BITE THE FINGER THAT FED YOU.

If not for GEJ, Ribadu would have remained in exile for the next four years. If his fellow Fulani uncle, - Yar Adua could strip him of his ranks and pursue him from this country, Bola Tinubu can do worse to him in future when the oppotunity comes - A word is enough for the wise.

I have been one of Ribadu's great admirers and even defended him when he was obviously being used by OBJ as a hit man. Despite his sins, he made an impact in elevating the image of the country as an anti corruption tzar.

However, Ribadu is not just ripe/mature enough for the presidency. He lacks tact and speaks carelessly like his kinsman Atiku. He would have won more admirers if he quietly came home, joined a party of his choice and learned the ropes. Nigerians will eventually clamour for him if it is seen that he has cultivated the statesmanship quality in attitudes, words and action.
He needs more years of apprenticeship.

SOLUTION TO NIGERIA'S PROBLEM.

There should be a school of thought that goes with some serious punishment or a course offering that subject be introduced into the university syllabus, _{or even from primary school} that focuses on the sense of shame as a tool of curbing corruption in government.

The general belief is that corruption thrives in a country where the people have no sense of shame or a value system. When people have no sense of shame, no explanation about of the effect of corruption will be of use. If this is put in place and these so called leaders and every other person that find him/herself in public office find themselves doing something wrong and shameful, they will simply hide or commit suicide for fear of being punished.

Now the fear of being exposed or disgraced forces them to put in their best in whatever they do, even if they don't commit suicide, they would try to display their shame by resignation or accepting punishment.

Period. . . .
