Why not refine that which we have already to create jobs. If you have a regular but insufficient source of pay and seek to diversify your income source will you try to do more of what you are already doing when there is extremely little guaranty of result or do a different thing?

The 9 year old wasn't a widow. I never said she was. He married some widows like Zaynab bin Khuzayma and Hind bin Abu Ummaya . And it is allowed by islamic laws. There are churches which also practice laws that maybe absurd to you.

My point was based on ground that he married young girls and encouraged people like you to follow his steps. You said no, he married widows out of empathy after war. Re-read your own reply now.

All his wives weren't widows, some were divorced. Some were captives whom he freed and got married to. Young marriages was common in the older times in Arab and Jewish communities, even in America as far back as 200years, girls of 7years got married.



I don't think I've come across this, but fact remains there's nothing wrong with a well-to-do family supporting the poorer ones. In fact Islam encourages this, this is why under Shariah law, a wealthy individual is to drop 2.5% annually to help the poor and needy

If 'prophet' had the young girls as wives before marrying the older widows then my initial point has been strengthened already. He married young and encouraged his followers to do same. Your habit of shifting ground and trying to explain interpret the quran to give positive answer to questions is laughable at best.

@first paragraph, if he had young wives and the argument was that he married widows out of empathy, why marry girls as young as 10? Was a 10 year old also a widow?

@second paragraph, it is quite common for muslim relative to go diabolical to get their hands on other penples wealth. Their excuse is usually that 'God' supports the idea of materially blessed people supporting the less materially blessed.
