jacyhelen:
My Advice to those still into MMM.

Before i begin,i wish to let you know that am never bittered about MMM but just to offer a piece of advice to those still into it.

I remeber last year or so when MMM came out..i read about the Ideology of Mavrodi[Free finacial break-through].i was happy cos i hated banks who can keep your 1 million naira but at the end of 6 months gives you a pe-nut...i rolled in with my 1.5million..One million was mine and 500k borrowed from a Friend..People i told were against it,some blamed me why i took such risk. Before saying jack-robbinson,i began testing the fruit of MMM..
The fruit was so delicious and i moved about like wild fire, telling people about mmm..Preaching about it day and nite..The only place i never Preached about MMM was at burial ceremony and a church but some how i managed to say it or let people know about it...Things were going on fine till November 2016...By then i have PHed 2.5million with the hope to GH larger money and do one of the Fablous Xmas ever...
When i heard about what happened[Mavro was seized],i never ate that day...i cried bitterely but Guiders talked and talked that soon things willl be fine..i picked up myself, continued again in January 2017 with hope to GH some part of my money...
Did i say anything about those under mehuh..Hell was let loose...my life was at Risk..Many friends were at war with me..i explained and explained till i got tired..i moved on hoping to see how things will go.
I managed to borrow 500k cos u get 20% of your 2016 mavro...
On June/july,the worst happened...MMM refused to pay many of us again..This time, there were no reason..
The mavro was moved from 30% to 100%.
I was mad!!!!!!!!!!!!
Having Lost 2.5million in 2016 which has grown to almost 3.5 million plus 500k,it was then i came to realised MMM has scamed many of us.
To those still into MMM,my post is never to discourage you but to alert u that MMM is at the finaly state..PH little amout of money.
Never do the following:
1.Borrow money to use in MMM
2.Ph larger amount of money
3.Follow your instincts .
Dont be deceived with: SPARE MONEY.There is nothing like spare money...
Till today no news about June/july Mavro..Even the 100% people are singing and smilling as if nothing happened in June..The so called MR Andrew as i heard kept on getting Angry and Angry during meeting of guiders....

Just be carefull!!!!!

Everything about MMM was 100% Pure Lies.
Your eyes are still blinded with greed. Grow up and be responsible.

Jesus commanded his followers, is the pastor not a follower of christ. Is he not heading the property of christ, so i see no reason why the church can't pay. Mind u,wen we call the church, we mean the pastors pls. It is the law of the land.
Is the church a property of the pastor ?
So 'pastor = church' ? I hope 'BH = muslims' also?

Quite logical and true. While this response effectively answers the threads question, I'm tempted to wonder why some posters here are so pained by the logical response so much that they're wriggling like earthworms sprayed with salt.

I hope it isn't because Mynd refused to demonize the entirety of the Fulani herdsmen and instead identified the fact that the killer criminals that disguise amongst them no longer have that cover as they've migrated back to the North due to the rains and accompanying vegetation, and the presence of tse tse flies in the South.
Do you have sense at all? Going by Mynd44 response the violence should be increasing and not decreasing because there has been good rain fall for the past 7 months.

Jesus Christ advised his followers to obey constituted authority, of which tax paying is one. I therefore see no reason why churches and mosques should not be paying taxes.

@Abudu2000,

Why not mosques and islamic school ? What about secret societies ?
You don't tax people cos they are prosperous, tax is for funding civil society so there is no reason to tax the people who pay money into churches at the point of earning and at the point of spending - the church.
If the church will be taxed then any form of contribution of money to groups leader should be taxed.
Plus not all pastors earn from their church.

It is never a better option to leave a large part of your population uneducated because you want to invest the money in running business. If the means to invest is there by all means do. But faced with meager resources, the most sensible investment is education, health and infrastructure. It's a tried and tested means in Western region and not just a theory.
Investors can bring in multiples of whatever the state can raise in the nearest future with proper infrastructure and trained workforce in place

Aregbesolas gamble would have worked seamlessly if not for the sudden 60% drop in revenue.
The main issue with his choices is the inability to pay salaries after meeting his loan obligations. Otherwise the investment will eventually yield. It would have been a catastrophe and tragedy if the money had ended up mainly in private hands.
So you admit Aregbe gambled with peoples destiny and lost. Good.
Now that the state can't run is it a good or better idea to leave the people of Osun out of school. Should education be at the expense of health, food or owing workers?
Stop defending mediocrity.

Your view is myopic and is a result of you having lived for too long under faulty governance wr u have been made to believe that governance is only about sharing and eating every revenue and allocations received with only a minute emphasis on capital and human resource development.
The entire yoruba race can boast of a comprehensive edge in educational advancement to their neighbors in the same country because of Awolowo's free and compulsory education policy ( the best inheritance you can live for your wards is a quality educational institution)
Thanks to ogbeni world class schools are not exclusive of the rich in osun, watch out in a few years and see us export expertrates to ur backward enclave to colonize u all over again (albeit in factories, companies, health care, schools et al)
Stùpíd. So building school without seeking to proportionately increase the IGR that will pay teachers salaries is the way out. Answer me retærd, why did he borrow to the point of the repayment eating into the salaries of workers who labour ?
If you like, another moniker.

What kind of business can the government invest in with their 2bn monthly allocation and 1bn IGR?

What Osun is seeing today is the sacrificial phase a patient undergoing surgery to remove a tumour. The patient must bleed and feel great pain during and immediately after the operation. But they must not out of frustration bring a government that will reverse the plan or abandon the projects for temporary relief of flowing money to politicians and hangers on.

It's like the earlier patient getting careless and not cleaning the surgical wounds and taking the right drugs which will invite infection.
Hear yourself again, was Osun mo nthly allocation between 2011 and 2014 N2B ? It averaged over N5B and that's Aregbe was building talking drum, buying IPAD, dashing money out, buying helicopter etc stop distorting and hiding the ugly part of the facts.

Stop using that analogy of a patient going through pain. Is free feeding, helicopter, talking drum etc sacrifice ?

DaVanguard:
We all need to understand the cycle of development and economics. Feeding program is a good venture if we embrace and understand the good about it. We criticize everything, without taking a deep look at the merit and demerit.
Let share my view on feeding program; Feeding School Children is a program that creates a value chain of development, job creating and economic activities. Feeding children means foodstuffs needs to be purchased, somebody has to cultivate them, somebody has to transport them, somebody will cook the food, somebody will be incharge of payment children will be encourage to go back to school or willing to learn, etc
Back to Osun State, the feeding program ensured that 60% of the food stuffs were sourced locally, from Chicken, Fish, eggs, cocoa-yam, etc. What these implies, is that more people are encouraged to go into farming cos there is a sure market for their products.
Your understanding of Infrastructure is interesting, U speak of the government embarking on projects it cannot fund directly, to be sincere no serious business man funds capital/infrastructural project with liquid cash, they are most time funded with loans (debt). I guess you don't have a picture of how Osun state was before and how it is now. If the Government decide not to do any meaningful project in 2017, it won't still be able to pay salaries.
I agree with you that if the position pushed by the initial speaker is right Osun state is not economically viable. I think you are correct. The fact is Osun is not economically viable, for Osun to be economically viable, the government that will do that should forget 2nd term, forget the hate they spill against him/her. The first hurdle is 60 -70% of the work force should go, increase their wages and provided JD (Job Description), Restructure the Civil Service, make the civil service a place information can be gotten easily without any delay. Osun situation is complex.
I guess with my submission you will say i am wicked, but the fact remains with the current over bloated and inefficient civil servants, anybody who leads Osun will get his fingers burnt.
You keep saying somebody has to supply food, chicken, cook them and economic opportunity blah blah blah, you must think we are all daft.
Please tell me who is supplying the chicken, cocoa yam and cooking them now that the free oil money has reduced?
People like you who side with evil due to personal interest and ignorance are big part of the problem of this continent. You think that your logic of economic cycle you narrate holds water abi. Is an economy sustained by unpredictable inflow of gift (federal allocation) or wealth creation ?
Say something more reasonable mr man.

That's where we got things wrong, investment in education and infrastructure won't increase your IGR overnight. The real dividend will come when investors begin to locate their businesses in Osun because of good Infrastructure and well trained manpower.
The SW is today enjoying the huge investment in mass education made in the 1950s.

What kind of business can the government invest in with their 2bn monthly allocation and 1bn IGR?

What Osun is seeing today is the sacrificial phase a patient undergoing surgery to remove a tumour. The patient must bleed and feel great pain during and immediately after the operation. It's like the earlier patient getting careless and not cleaning the surgical wounds and taking the right drugs which will invite infection.
I disagree with you man.
1) Is there any binding agreement that guaranty the graduate coming back to work for Osun.
2) Now that the school can't be sustained (half-salary) isn't it better the govt had invested in an industrial estate right in Osun instead of training people who may not work for Osun soon?
3) The notion that govt shouldn't be involve in business is trash. If it isn't right move then why is same govt involved in free-feeding and payment of idle hands ?
Let the govt invite foreign investors with technical knowlegde plus part of the capital then let the govt provide the remaining capital + land + industrial estate + power + security within the vicinity of the industrial estate and product/personnel movement. That way the investor or technical patners are guaranteed they aren't alone in any way. What's there in providing good environment?
Instead in his quest to impress like a rascal, he built beautiful schools that increased recurrent expenditures of the state and left the IGR that's suppose to sustain recurrent expenditures to suffer. The man fùcked up big time. No argument you try presenting can confuse any ardent follower of happenings in Osun.
Politics › Re: Positive Things Restructuring Nigeria Will Bring! - Foreign Diplomat Reveals by Desyner: 9:07am On Oct 04, 2017
Antoeni:
If Nigeria restructured into provinces -
1) Northern Province
2) Middle Belt Province
3) Oduduwa Province
4) Eastern Province
5) Niger Delta Province (Atlantic)
Then Central Government at FCT.

10 positive things that would happen within 5 years
(primarily due to inter-province competition)

1. The first province to experience economic explosion would obviously be the Western Province. The Oduduwua Master plan will be revealed. There would be trans-regional 4g internet fiber connection/rail/subways/highways/power grids etc. Yoruba will become the 2nd official language. They are relatively united. They have oil. They own academia. They have mega corporations. The WP would be the first to have stable 24/7 power supply! Foreign money will flood the province. More Forbes recognized billionaires will arise. Some of them will be internet billionaires. Lagos will be relieved a little from overpopulation as railway lines from other states will make living elsewhere and working in Lagos a breeze.

2. The Northern Province will have stronger islamic laws. Sharia will be entrenched and this will make the NP become the least corrupt province. The middle east (Arab) nations will move in to partner with them, bringing major development. Jaiz bank and Unity Bank will become mega banks. Arabic and Hausa will compete with English for dominance in schools. This province will generate more solar power than any other province. After the west, this province will be the 2nd to have 24/7 electricity. They will start exporting food as a major revenue generator.

3. The Middle Belt Province will have a development conference. Focus will be given to solid minerals development/
exports, tourism development and food production/exports. This will become a food hub in West Africa. They will export more food than any other province. Mega mining and food corporations will arise. This province will have foreign inflows through tourism development greater than any other province. It will host the most beautiful places to live in Nigeria.

4. The Eastern Province will transform into the Auto Industry Hub of Africa. Indigenous manufacturing of vehicles that will start competing with foreign vehicles will commence in earnest. This will grow to manufacturing of airplanes, helicopters, tractors, cranes, heavy duty construction equipment etc. Forbes recognised billionaires living in Anambra will arise. The Biafra agitation will fizzle out since formation of the EP will be seen as a Biafra success in another form. There would be so much development that villages (as we currently know them) will quickly cease to exist. This province will be the first to semi-urbanize all their rural areas as all the Igbos living abroad will rush back to take advantage of the changes.

5. The Atlantic Province will take the Uyo blueprint and run with it. An abundance of oil wealth and opening up of major sea ports at Rivers and Uyo will enable this region to revamp their infrastructure quickly. There will be more monorails here than anywhere else. This will be the 3rd province to achieve 24/7 electricity generation in Nigeria (mainly from gas turbine technology).

6. With provincial indigenous security forces in control, kidnapping, Armed robbery, Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and the Niger delta militancy attacks will all fizzle out. Nigeria will become the most secure and peaceful African nation; thus attracting more foreigners.

7. Each Province will have their own airline professionally managed. And with better roads/rail, air and land transport costs will crash.

8. With the rapid development occurring all over, Nigerias GDP will shoot up. Obtaining visas to travel out will become easy as more people will want to come in than go out. A worldwide immigration into Nigeria will commence, as Nigerians living abroad will be struggling with foreigners to enter the country. ''Nigeria will become the most desirable Nation to live in".

9. The central government at the FCT will become smaller and less powerful. There will be a mini-exodus from Abuja to the provinces as the action is now elsewhere. The outskirts of Abuja will no longer be heavily overpopulated. Abuja will become awesome again.

10. The 10th positive thing that would quickly happen positive idea.

Pls share for the sensitization of the benefits of Restructuring.

Nigeria must flourish again.
