The same governors who can't pay salaries and pensions?

Maybe they would ask for bail out for the roads also.
So each state can replace police checkpoints with tollgates and political thugs cum highway robbers. Joke nation. Basket mouth should run for President.

the funniest part of it is that we didn't hear anything from the garment factory again. So so pathetic. Well the SAM and SARAH garment factory is PPP projects.
I always knew the man was a illiterate scam. He ran Osun state 6-feet below economically. Imagine the potential he squandered.

of course we will know who fooled us for the last 8 years. Not only that we will know where all these huge loans went into. That's the reason why I want other political party to win massively and exposed the corruption of the state government.
Aregbe should be picked up the day he leaves office. The guy did garment factory that increased IGR and should have continued along that path.

hmmm even the huge loans he acquired from world bank and sukuk is really really affecting his government. 6 months down the drain, lautech students are still at home. No hope for them to resume soon. So so pathetic. He has been paying workers half salaries since 2014. So so pathetic situation.
I thought you used to be one of his ardent praisers on NairaLand.
This is just tip of the iceberg oh. When the next admin comes to power and realize there is a huge loan repayment eating deep into the monthly allocation without a corresponding increase in IGR then we will know who fooled who when Aregbe was commisioning questionable projects.
Politics › Re: Reliance On Oil Is The Basis Of Our Wretchedness And Poverty – Aregbesola by Desyner: 1:37pm On Sep 28, 2017
Johnnyessence:
not at all. Infact the monthly IGR didn't reach #1b. Which is very pathetic situation. That's the reason he has adopt the half salary payment to the workers of the state of osun.
What was he thinking when he was borrowing to impress the people ? Instead of increasing the state IGR he was busy borrowing with unstable and unpredictable allocation. The man is officially a failure.
Politics › Re: CAN Fighting Islamisation Of Nigeria by Desyner: 1:29pm On Sep 28, 2017
Bari22:
CAN are only fighting for their pockets, they don't even take Christianity serious, Pastors in Nigeria are more men of money than men of god.

OPPOSITION TO SUKUK: CAN IS PLAYING ‘DOG IN THE MANGER’ BY PROFESSOR ISHAQ AKINTOLA
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) issued a press statement yesterday to protest against the Federal Government’s first ever sukuk (noninterest lease assets facilities) which was announced last week. The statement which was dated 19th September, 2017 was signed by CAN’s General Secretary, Rev. Dr. Musa Asake.
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) considers CAN’s position demeaning. It is not only infantile, petty and overbearing but also spiteful and egocentric.
Our position is based on the fact that CAN has all it needs in Nigeria today because the whole system is Christo-Western: education, the judicial system, the economy, everything. Muslims who were deprived of all their Islamic landmarks and ways of life by the colonialists are constrained to start the struggle all over again by demanding Shari’ah, use of hijab in schools, Islamic banks, sukuk, etc. It must be made clear ab initio that Nigerian Muslims had all these before the advent of the British colonialists who changed everything in favour of Christianity.
There is nothing the Muslims are demanding now that the Christians don’t have already on a platter of gold. It must also be stated that the Christians do not need the things that the Muslims are asking for. Why should somebody keep blocking his brother from getting his own share when he already has his own?
Stupid post.
You should be concerned with what government does with money and not pastors. Goverment force you to pay money but Pastors don't.

imagine this comment. Well the state is self reliant if I can project it that way. Its just that the way and manner our governors spend the FG allocation is bad. They will spend it on irrelevant things. We need more investments on mining sector, steel sector, textile sector, tourism sector and telecommunication sector.
Can Osun's IGR cover its recurrent expenditure ? Direct answers please.

What useless friends ?
Friends who seek to dominate you ?

Lol what the hell are u sayinghuh All NIH projects aren't the same. This you put up there was granted years ago and has been completed by most Universities and published in appropriate outlets. This is a different project granted yesterday so pls stop ranting. I already gave you a Link you can very much use it instead of ranting online. What do you mean "desperately"huh Are you a okhuh If news about Hushpuppi can be placed on Nairaland front page, news about foreign sport placed on Nairaland is it then a crime to place news about a university winning a grant to Nairaland. You are proving to me that the average Nigerian can't get his life priorities well and is wired to think regressively.
We know those people. They keep shifting the goal post of what makes a uni good to spite whatever threatens their fraudulent status. Maybe the bodies granting the funds too are church owned.
Politics › Re: Nigeria May Cease To Exist If Not Restructured - PDP Chieftain by Desyner: 9:27am On Sep 28, 2017
If truly he said this then he spoke well. Let us restructure. We are busy trying to dominate the SS but while doing this people are just producing children they wouldn't have produce if they labour for money. How do we manage a situation where 250-300 million people crowd Nigeria with no meaningful infrastructure on ground?
It is better we restructure and 100 million people start paying tax instead of trying to subsidize them forever.

Your first paragraph, most states to generate electricity are not usually the states the drives economic activities in the country. So if I may ask, what's the rationale behind prioritizing electricity supplies to these states like Edo or Bayelsa rather than Lagos?
I don't get the bold part. You mean states like Lagos, Rivers, or Akwa Ibom don't have need 4 power or economic activities?

Honestly, I don't know what Nigerian recruiters have turned into.

Went for an interview last Friday with Paul Esther Consulting, and they were asking me the church I attend and my salvation experience.

Abeg, what has that got to do with performance on the job?

Why didn't they specify their church preference in the job post?

I weep for my country, and stupid HR practice.
Applicant state their religion on CV in order to have an edge and employers don't complain. Even orgs can conspire to initiates people forcefully against wish and its no biggie, so what's OP's point ?
