peacemaker128:
Ginger is well known in many human communities around the world. It is the underground rhizome of a perennial tropical crop called Ginger plant (Zingiberofficinale). Originally, the plant is a native of South Eastern Asia but over centuries has been introduced to various parts of the world like the Caribbean, the Americas and Africa. Presently, the top growers of the crop includes Jamaica, Indonesia, Fiji etc

A mature ginger rhizome is fibrous and has a striated texture. The outer skin of the rhizome is brownish in colour while the inner flesh depending on the variety may be red, yellow or white.

GINGER IN NIGERIA

Nigeria is one of the top producers of ginger in the world. In the Nigerian market ginger is well known and on high demand even though it is quite expensive. Kaduna State stands as the highest producer of the crop while states like Gombe, Bauchi, Benue, Nassarawa among others are major producers of the crop. In the market, ginger is available in various forms; fresh ginger rhizome, powder ginger and dry ginger rhizome.

GROWING GINGER

For ginger to thrive, the following are required

Mulched fertile soil. Loam is the most preferred soil type
Ridges should be made for the planting of the crop
A minimum annual rainfall of about 1500mm
An average daily temperature of about 30C
Viable ginger rhizomes with buds
Good drainage to prevent water logging/flooding
CULTIVATION

Ginger is cultivated vegetatively from its rhizomes. The vegetative propagation of ginger involves the following steps;

Health5 Simple Ways To Reverse Tooth Decay by dgitrader(op): 7:59am On Oct 22, 2016
If your dentist has told you that you have cavities, it's time to start thinking about ways to reverse tooth decay. Most of us have been told since we were very young that sugar will destroy our teeth. This is because sugars and carbohydrates combine with the plaque biofilm that forms on the teeth and at the gumline after eating a meal. The bacteria in the plaque combined with sugars/carbohydrates will produce acids and the acids will attack the enamel of the teeth and cause tooth decay to occur. Here are a few tips beyond brushing and flossing to help you prevent these cavities from forming.

What You Drink Makes a Difference

Water is by far the best beverage for preventing cavities. Use it to neutralize acids and as a substitute for brushing properly in situations where you simply can't. Another good way of preventing acid from doing damage to your tooth enamel is drinking through a straw. Sucking the liquid sends it directly to the throat, thus giving it less time to bathe the teeth.

Eating Nutritious Meals

Besides drinking more water, consider adding more nutritious meals to your diet. Try limiting the amount of carbohydrates you eat as well as foods that contain alot of sugar.

A Good Toothbrush Is Your Ally

When did you last change your toothbrush? Many people hang onto the same toothbrush for years at a time, but if the bristles have become frayed, it is definitely time to replace it. A good rule of thumb is to change toothbrushes around every three months, especially after a cold, virus or mouth infection. These days, there are many types of toothbrushes to choose from: curved, traditional straight, soft, medium, hard, etc. Find the toothbrush that is most comfortable for you and use it regularly; brushing and flossing are two of the most important ways of preventing cavities.

Chew Sugarless Gum

It seems ironic to tell someone to chew gum in order to maintain good oral care, but chewing sugarless gum after a meal can actually help to prevent cavities. Most sugarless varieties of gum contain a natural sweetener called xylitol. Because xylitol is a five-carbon sugar alcohol, it helps to reduce plaque formation and how the plaque attaches to the tooth. Xylitol has been shown to be effective as a preventive agent. The activity of chewing itself also increases saliva, which in turn flushes away food particles.

Use Antacids for Excess Acid

If you suffer from acid reflux disease, it may be a good idea to take antacids to reduce the acidic environment in your stomach. Acid rising to the mouth bathes the teeth in caustic liquid that erodes the teeth, causing sensitivity and decay.

These tips are just a few ways to reverse tooth decay. Make sure to schedule regular visits to your dentist for cleaning and checkups for cavities. grin

i forgive you then you still have more to learn

correct sequence

2 3 1

2 is turning right so he doesnt give away to anyone

3 has to give way to 2 since he is also turning left

1 has to give way to both 2 & 3
2 is actually on a straight path and not turning going by the arrow. u may check and correct ur post.
Car TalkRe: Abeg Which One Is The Correct Drive Order (photo) by dgitrader(m): 7:57am On Oct 20, 2016
2 3 1
2 has the full pace and right of way.
3 should be clearly trafficating(pls use hand signal for women/commercial drivers) and slowly turn into the corner road watching out for any reckless move by 1
1 is last to move, cos the paths of 2 and 3 are faster and have rights of way.

up north, 3" water pump which used to cost less than 24,000 is now being sold for over 40, 000naira.

forex crisis is the cause anyway. the traders add to costprice of available goods in other to avoid fund crisis when ordering for replacement goods. its a lossloss situation for both buyer and seller.

500k is too small for one storey container house...

The cost of 40ft container is about 470k
The cost of 20ft container is about 300k

Cost of hiring a crane for a day could cost up 50k
Insulation of the container and earthing of electrical wires
Painting with Marine coating paint (Very expensive)

This container house is expensive compared to building a conventional house.
nice analysis.

Insulation using Rockwool, polysterene , polyurethane is done to reduce heat
is it really possible as the op said, that 500k can put up a two bedroom flat?

also, in ur expert opinion, what minimal amount can complete any basic form of two bedrooms flat say in Abuja or lagos, all things being equal.

thanks

..... If you are suffering from mental issues, you are not alone. About one in five adults in the U.S. or 43.8 million people experience a mental illness every year.
Perhaps you frequently ask yourself, “Do I need mental help?” or “Do I need a psychiatrist?” If you are worried that something might be wrong (or worried about someone close to you), it may not be possible to know for sure unless a psychologist, psychiatrist or other mental health professional performs a thorough assessment. Here are 10 behaviors that may signal a mental health disorder.

AgricultureRe: Pics Of White Men Farming In The North While Nigerians Complain Of Recession by dgitrader(m):
please accept my sympathy. your frustration is legendary. you claim to have studied agric, but your reasoning is uncouth and very poor. you are asked to simply prove the location of the images, instead you type all this gibberish epistles. what quality of agric advice can u give locals? what a pity. a local village farmer upnorth knows that such dump trucks are never used in agriculture here, the bigbags or sacks u post can never be found in any northern commodity market. you school fees is a waste. go and attend jethro, jasper or Songhai practical trainings and end ur frustrations. Olodo!
if you keep fooling yourself that the image is from northern Nigeria, it shows that you degree in agriculture is a waste. visit the right farms, learn, and ditch the archaic theories and wide imaginations in your head.
Note: i am based here in the north, if and when you post something logical, i will introduce my farm, location, pictures and practical knowledge base to u.

pathetic lair, stop posting images from a canadian wheat farm, deceivingly your sorry self its Nigeria. just to vent your frustrations, you stole the images from https://sites.google.com/site/loisellema/photos
