Business › Re: Agro Allied Stands At Abuja Trade Fair in pictures by dgitrader(m): 11:23am On Sep 11, 2014 |
felixzo1: For two weeks, (26th September - 8 October) entrepreneurs from all over the world converged at the permanent site of the Abuja International Trade Fair complex along Airport road to meet buyers and sellers with their products. From Asia, South Korea, India, Japan and China manufacturers and dealers displayed their industrial and household products. While from Africa, Ghanaians were on hand with their fabrics to attract their Nigerian admirers. Our reporter visited the agro-allied stands of the trade fair and recounts some of the machines agro companies displayed for Nigerian farmers to buy. These equipment range from small to heavy-duty machines for both small and large scale farmers. At the Myra Agro Allied and Machinery, authorized distributors of Goyum Screw press, an Indian company in Nigeria, various products were displayed for sale. These machineries include rice miller with capacity to process four metric tons per hour. The machines come in different sizes with their prices depending on capacity. Another machine available was De-stoner. The function of this machine is to remove stones from the milled rice to make it safer for consumption. The De-stoner is a solution to the problem of stones in our local rice, which makes it inferior to the foreign or imported variety. With De-stoner, the dichotomy between local and foreign rice will no longer be an issue for Nigerians. Other machines displayed were Groundnut Decorticator, which processes 3 tons per hour; Palm Nut cracker which cracks and removes palm kernel from the shell. Also displayed for sale were an array of oil milling machinery and equipment, which can extract oil from various seeds, the least of which can process five tons per day. The company also has - although not in display at the stand - a continuous type refinery which has the capacity to process more than 25 metric tons per day. At the Kingdom Aquarium and Fisheries stand, there were polygon fish ponds of different capacities. The least takes up to 2,000 fingerlings. The least size of the round fish ponds is 5.5 feet diameter by 2 feet height, whereas the biggest size is 12 feet by 24 feet by 4 feet height. These polygon fish ponds also come with Spraying Aerator which is floating for oxygen; and Splash Aerator - a powerful oxygenation aerator. These aerators help in the rapid growth of fish. The company also displayed various types of feed pellet machines, which can be driven by diesel or gasoline engines. It can press soybean powder, cereals powder, potatoes powder and other agriculture powder into pellets. Others include the Hammer Mills, which can grind agricultural plants such as soybeans, peanuts, corn or wheat into powder. Dae Sung Agricultural Machinery, a South Korean company was also on hand at the trade fair ground with an array of agro allied processing machines. They have a set of rice milling machines comprising of rice steam boiler, which can parboil or steam your rice to give you an even degree of parboiled rice before milling using charcoal, firewood, rice chaff, diesel, kerosene or electricity. Rice dryer for paddy rice, barley, wheat and corn and rice mill of 150 kilograms, 300 kilograms and 800 kilograms. It also has silos for drying and storing farm crops protecting them from moisture and pests. This equipment has a capacity of storing 20 to 120 metric tons of assorted crops. Rice ripper was also on display. The machine helps farmers to harvest rice by pushing it through the rice farm. It can be used for tilling the ground using rotary implement before planting. Other agricultural machines were Multiple Grains Thresher for maize, beans, millet, guinea corn and sesame with capacity of 1.5 metric tons per hour; yam and cassava processor and beans and rice de-stoner, which removes stones from the products; and Farm Crop Dryer for drying fish, meat, cassava, yam, potatoes, tomatoes, pepper, and other agricultural products. The Abuja International Trade Fair, which ended last week, afforded many small, medium and large scale commercial farmers in the country the opportunity to exchange ideas with investors and experts on the application and use of agro-allied machinery for the modern farming system. Wow Kindly inform us if/when the next edition comes up. Thanks |

Vanpascore: Weldone OP, I love this thread and i say kudos to you. In addition pls, those of you asking for where to get d seed, u can buy a big water melon, cut into two and keep it somewhere for 3-4 days to ferment, get the seed there, wash with water to separate the seed from d decayed rubbish and sun dry as directed by the OP
DO NOT PLANT THE SEED THAT HAS MIXED WITH SALIVA, IT WILL NOT GROW. Wow The part in CAPS is interesting. But how well should the seeds be sun-dryed? |

"Him grammar too much" "Na dat one we go chop"
Zombie be o zombie . Zombie no go talk unless you tell am to talk. Your thieving politician only want zombies.
It is no fluke that state police and regimental army were park of the SW Positions. It is a pain to see one of the most disciplined police force in this part of the work(the western region constabulary) be replaced by thugs and nincompoops who mostly have no roots in odua states . are u really from SW? they reason far better than this! |

good idea but completely not applicable. there will be no equal representation of states. a single state like delta, anambra or ogun will have more qualified officers than 11 northern states combined. OP must be from mars. |
