actually you are wrong as far as the Bible is concerned. if you say there are no "intermediaries", just heaven and hell, then I want you to explain the place that was referred to as Abraham's bosom by Christ when he was telling the tale of Lazarus and the rich man?

it wasn't heaven, neither was it hell.

Why would you say it was'nt heaven?

Luke 16 verse 25 : "But Abraham said, 'son, remember that in your life time you received your

good things, and likewise lazarus evil things; but now he is COMFORTED and you are tormented.

My Lord Jesus Christ used the word 'comforted' and not cleansed or waiting which is what the

teaching of purgatory assumes.

He only kept trying to beautify the reason to make it acceptable.

Let me give you my own insight on the ressurection from what was written in the Holy Bible.It is

said that jesus conquered death and hell ,hence arose on the third day and the dead saints were raised up

with him.The bible never said Jesus conquered purgatory or anyother place.

I think its wrong for him to assume that only the poor have those issues,the rich also involve

themselves in other vices too e.g excessive womanising,murders,cheatings etc. There is no way

crimes or bad habits or attitudes can be the product of only a particular class...in all he should

remember this two phrases 'pride comes before the fall' and 'the rich also cry'.

That teaching will only lead one to hell,it is the devils tool to destroy many.

The simple reason is: Why strive to be sanctified here on earth if i can archieve that when i die in

purgatory?

Remember the bible said 'After death is judgement'. No intermediaries.

Yes we have to,cause without it you might see yourself free of any blemish but that searching light will reveal all hidden,ignored and secret sin.Only then will you really see yourself as you truely are.then you will begin to look for a way out...God has a way of showing us answers when we really need them.Remember seek and you will find.Thoes who hunger and thirst shall be filled and you can only be filled according to the level of thirst you desire. E.g sum will drink a cup of water and be filled while some need 2 and others 3 or more...so the level of your hunger and thirst to know him will determine the level in which you will receive.

Now there are sins which every person knows easily e.g. Lying,stealing,adultery etc.
There are also sins that one might THINK he does not commit until he realises that he needs to be sanctified.In that hunger and emptiness he pleads for the searching light of God to reveal those hidden sins ones ignored.Thats when sins like pride,love of the world,fear of man,anger,deceitfulness,double speech etc starts to be reveald.only then will one truely undersatand the depth of the OLD MAN(adamic nature) and the need to totally uproot it and be sanctified.

Try and get or google the book 'You will never be the same by Basilea Schlink' or 'The old man by E.G. Marsh' .It will be worth the read that is if you are ready to really surrender all and be a christian and not the fantasy christianity that is practised in most churches today.
