I'm yet to receive my own N296 even though I have credits and and validity. Anyway, I will keep on checking until my battery runs down ![]() |
I think it is the norm for the guy to be older or much older than the lady. And in Nigeria here, such relationships work better than when they are of the same age, just as Seun has rightly said. This is because in this instance, the guy is more mature, and he is more or less ready to settle down. Provided the guy is not an old man, the relationship is guaranteed to work as long as the lady is interested. |
Another MTN advert that will surely interest the teenagers or schoolboys and schoolgirls. I saw nothing really imaginative in it. In real life, it doesn't work that way. Girls just don't change their attitude towards a guy just because he left his cellphone behind. |
This guy certainly have his head in the clouds. It is like living life in the reverse gear ![]() |
That means 30 or 31 free SMS per month. It is still better than nothing, except for the late delivery. The ideal should be 100 free SMS per month ![]() |
Let us all just pray that such or similar calamity does not befall use. This thing is easier said than done. The guy must really be a tough one to stick to his vow to the end, taking in considerations pressures from his family. |
A slight inclination of the cranium is as adequate as a spasmodic movement of one ocular organ, towards an equine quadruple that is devoid of it's visionary capacity. Meaning: A nod is as good as a wink towards a blind horse |
One should hyper-aesthetically exercise macography, upon that situs, which one would eventually tenant, if one propells oneself into the toposphere. Meaning: Look before you leap ![]() |
Bombastic of Grandiloquent For those of use that are verbally verbose, this is a good thread to show off. I like big and high sounding words. Please post your bombastic words or sayings below and don't forget to immediate follow it with it's meaning in simpler english. I start off like this: It can be no other than a maleficent horizontally propelled current of gaseous matter whose propentous advent is not the harbinger of a modicum of beneficence. Meaning: It is an ill-wind that blows nobody any good ![]() |
I've seen the phone with someone in Lagos about 2 weeks ago. He brought it from Uk, and it is working with our network here. Just know that the phone's memory is not much, and you may have to wait a little while before you a purchase a T-Flash Memory here, in case you want to upgrade. |
The joke is not original...The Original is more funny..Try not to versionize(if there's any word like that) other's jokes. |

Just make sure that Dolly Parton doesn't hear you folks crack all these stupid blonde jokes ![]() |

Most Nigerian musicians are in it for the money. They lack the passion that will drive them to be more creative or imaginative. Just because you have a good voice or inherited some old instruments from your progenitors does not automatically confers on you the skills of a talented musician. Most of them are one track or one album stars. After that, they fade away; you will ever heard of them again. Where are the much celebrated Nigerian musicians of yesteryears? They've all gone into oblivion. |
Yeah, Smooth Jazz is it. I can't get enough of Dave Koz, Groover Washington, Marc Atoinie, Earl Klugh and a host of others. As soon as I starts my system first thing in the morning in my office, I start my Yahoo! Messenger which automatically starts Launcast Music and play my station, which is Smooth Jazz. It is a cool way to start a day, by listening to Jazz. A day will not pass without my listening to Yanni, the original Jazz Master. Jazz Holes at Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, has a lot of Jazz audio CDs and other materials. A visit there will convince you that Jazz has finally arrive in Nigeria. |
I don't know want kind of experience you are requesting for, as you didn't really specify in details. The USB flash drives are now quite common in the Nigerian market, and the prices have fallen drastically. With N2,500, you can purchase a 128MB capacity of same, though the prices vary according to the model. As to durability, it depends on which model you purchased. Some of them are quite too plastic and easily crack, while others are a little bit rubberised which makes them more durable. I've been using my own for about two years now. It is a GENX 128MB, and so far, I got no problem with it. I bought for N,8000 that time. Since they are cheaper now, you don't really need to worry much about which one you purchased. You can always replace it if one gets damaged. Check the The Guardian Newspaper, Wednesdays for the current price of the USB flash drives. |
That's a good one dominobaby; MTN: Milk Those Nigerians. Well, I can assure them, that they are never going to milk me again. Now, I am smarter. ![]() |
I think the SE K750 looks smarter than the S700i. But the S700i has the greater advantage of wider screen and 1.3MP camera. |
The Sony Ericsson S700i is a phone to have. It is a phone with two sides - a camera side and a phone side. It has virtually all the features you may desire in any mobile phone. It came with a Megapixel camera, MP3 Player and FM Stereo. What more feature can you desire in a cellphone? https://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y196/diakim/S700i-a.jpg Phone side of S700i It opens in an unconventional swivel way which can be rotated 180 degree after opening. Besides, it features a large screen display with 256k colours. Finally, the phone has arrived for the technoids, who always want the latest. https://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y196/diakim/S700i-c.jpg Camera side of S700i Features of The S700i Dimensions: 107 x 49 x 24 mm Weight: 137g Display Colour: 256k Display Size: 240 x 320 pixels (with 180 degree swivel) Infrared: No Bluetooth: Yes GPRS: Yes USB Support: Yes Java: Yes MP3 Player: Yes FM Stereo: Yes MMS Support: Yes Camera/Video: 1.3MP (1280x960 pixels) + video Recording Media: Memory Stick Duo (32MB Included) Pros It has all the features you can desire in a mobile phone (Camera, MP3 Player, FM Stereo, Java, Bluetooth, GPRS, etc) Excellent Camera (1.3MP). With this you can take printable pictures Large Screen Display to browse or view photos MP3 As Ringtones. I can't emphasize enough how much I loved this feature in a cellphone. Excellent Calls Sound. Sounds quality during calls is excellent, as true to Sony's tradition. Cons Too Fat & Heavy. It is not exactly a beautiful phone. Though when I compared it side by side with the Nokia 9300, this phone is lighter. Memory Card Limitation. Expandable only to a maximum of 128MB. What a dumb thing to do! Certain Software Faults. This has been corrected with a new firmware. No Full Screen Video Playback. What a shame considering the lovely big screen display! The keypads design makes it clumsy to type SMS. No EDGE. Sony Ericsson keeps lagging behind in this EDGE technology. Low Capacity Address Book. Can be solved by new firmware. Wish List Wish the Memory can be expanded to 1GB. This would have made this phone to rock and compete seriously with the Nokia N90. Comments The S700i is a camera phone which is both visually stunning and functionally impressive. If you are in love with camera phones, then this is the phone for you. Also, if you like technical phones loaded with the latest technologies, and you don't mind the 128MB memory limitation, then you will find happiness with this phone. Just last wee, I was opportuned to be in the office of the Admission Officer of the University of Lagos. A young man came in to inquire whether he should apply for a postgraduate course, and that he had HND. The Admission Officer went a long way to explain to him that the university does not consider HND holders as graduates, but that they are diploma holders and therefore cannot apply for any postgraduate course in Unilag. He even went as far as saying that HND holders are not even permitted to do a Post Graduate Diploma in Unilag, though other universities may allow them. In summary, he was saying that by technical definition, HND is not equal to B.Sc. |
Ogunswale, All hope is not lost. You can still get a good job with 3rd Class. One of my classmates in school got 3rd Class and he is working in a big organisation in Lagos. He has travelled outside Nigeria on official assignments countless numbers of time. Just believe God and prayed. And besides, you can go for your M.Sc. or M.A. even with 3rd Class degree. I have it on good source that even the University of Lagos admits 3rd Class for their Masters degree programmes. With postgraduate degrees, you can go places and your 3rd Class degree will not be a barrier to you. Peace be to you. |
MTN is like a vampire which sucks you dry and leaves you with nothing. Glo beats MTN by far. Just wait and see. |
Smart people use Glo while other people stick with MTN. I just don't know why some people still want to stick with the MTN network despite the fact that MTN is not giving anything free to it's subscribers. While Globacom is giving away 35 free Glo-to-Glo SMS and free MMS till September ending to it's subscribers, MTN is giving away nothing. Instead they are just coming up with different adverts everyday. Even VMobile is given out free I was using both MTN and Glo's line before. But now, I've stopped using the MTN's line altogether. Globacom has endeared itself to my heart since it started the GPRS service. To me, GPRS has been the best thing to happen to the Nigeria's mobile telecommunication's industry. Just imagine the convenience and the sheer pleasure of carrying an Internet connection with you wherever you go with your cellphone. And if you are using a smartphone with a wide screen display, then you are in heaven. All these happened because Globacom brought the GPRS to Nigeria. If left to the cartel of MTN and VMobile alone, we will never smell the GPRS in Nigeria till another 10 years. Did they not told us that per second billings cannot be implemented until 3 years? Thank God, Globacom came and delivered us from the the duopoly of MTN and VMobile. What annoys me most about MTN is that when you recharge with 1500 naira, you will have 15 days validity, but when you recharge with 750 naira, you will have 5 days validity instead of 7 days. This is cheating! And nobody is complaining despite the fact that other networks gives extra days. All because of what? All because MTN has the widest coverage. Give me a break! Who needs the widest coverage? You cannot be in all places at all times. Or are you ubiquitous? I know this post will raise some storms. What do you think about this? Visit http://diakim2..com to read the concluding part of this post. |
I've read about this before. I think it is a new innovation in mobile technology. The problem is that we can't enjoy this yet in Nigeria as our society is still a cash based economy. |
diakim: Diamond of Kimberley. All my schoolmates in Secondary School knows who bears that nickname ![]() |
I think this only happens when the wife is not working or is a full-time house wife. If both are working it takes no effort for them to know each others salaries. How are they going to plan and invest for the future if the wife is not in the knowledge of what the husband is earning? I think the primary reason for a man hiding his salary from his wife is to avoid his wife demanding for money from him untill everything is finished. Again, I think this only happens when the wife is not working and have to depend on the husband for every penny she spends. |
Don't let us be emotional about this issue. If found guilty, he goes to jail, otherwise he walks out a free man. He saw it coming. |
Seun, the ministry of internal affairs should pay you o, for all these publicity ![]() |
Yes, Seun you are right. Let Okotie starts from somewhere first. Maybe as the Governor of his own state. We don't need a greenhorn as the President of this great and complex country. |
The Pocket PC or PDA are quite a standard on their own. Usually, they are faster as they have higher processing power, what with the flexibility of their having a touch screen. Until recently when the Pocket PCs are being incorporated into GSM, most people that I know who use Pocket PCs also carry a cellphone as well. I think the drawback on the Pocket PC is the awkwardness of making/receiving calls on them due to their flat shapes. |
