Politics / Re: Why Do Nigerians Leave Their Light Bulbs On In Day Time. by diesel86: 4:18pm On May 16, 2013
Some people here are just giving lame excuses for their ignorance but i think the best way is for people to get this Pre-paid meters where you are charged according to how much power you are using, @ least since i got mine i have had no cause to complain.

Politics / Re: Climate Change: Lagos May Vanish In 50 Years - Experts by diesel86: 9:24am On Oct 06, 2012
These things are going to happen and there is nothing we would be able to do about them, this not about being pessimistic or not beleiving in miracles.
Most part of Artic pole is ice & when it melts it becomes water, like we all know water will always find its level so imagine a solid mass of ice the size of west africa turing into water then spreading into the Atlantic n Pacific, most coastal cities of the world not only Lagos is at risk of going under.

It as been said that some civilization has been found in the deeps of the Pacific. We can only take solace in the words of God that he would not destroy mankind again with water....
Business / Re: 5 Proven Tips To Become A Multi-millionaire In Nigeria by diesel86: 7:46pm On Sep 21, 2012
@ poster you are so much on point, i was thinking i was the only one that saw the trend in our graduates rushing for MSC imediately after service, the only thing i concluded is that most youths are confused & feel that the only way to make any meaningful progress in their lifes is to rack up as many certificates as they can so as to have a better chance at securing mouth watering jobs that are becoming elusive by the day, unfortunately few out of thousands are lucky enough to get their dream jobs no thanks to the socio-economic situation in the country.
The majority that can't get good offers settle for less if any and some priviledge ones relocate to other climes where they are better appreciated.
For those who have decided to stay because of their beleive in this country or who are not opportuned to leave, i have a piece of advice for you, look within and around you for needs you think you can fill, take it from there and see how doors of opportunities would open up to you am not promising it would be easy, as the saying goes " uneasy lays the head that wears the crown".

Politics / Re: How Many Jobs Can Youwin! Awardees Create For The 33 Million Jobless Nigerians? by diesel86: 12:39pm On Sep 14, 2012
I doubt if each of the beneficiaries can employ more than 10 people directly, reason is that they are mostly involved in SMES.
The only way nigerians can have gainful employment is if the goverment provides the enabling enviroment for buisness to grow i.e. Providing necessary infrastructure like power, roads, accesibility to funds at low interest rate e.t.c.
Politics / Re: Ijaw-Youths To Chevron: Employ Us In 7 Days Or Leave by diesel86: 12:31pm On Sep 14, 2012
This Ijaw people dey always make me laugh. It's true that this companies have their own shortcomings but i also know from experience that most of these south-south guys are darn lazy.
I don't see the reason why a company would have an enterprising pool of people to recruit from and would still go out of their locality to employ, my only advise to the Ijaw youths is to get their acts together, then see how this people would be courting your service, no dey think say because u don get OIL make u come dey behave anyhow.
Though those companies get their own for hand, sha....

Business / Re: Dangote On Business, Success & Going Global by diesel86: 12:13pm On Sep 13, 2012
This a nice one, the unfortunate thing i noticed about this is that a lot of people don't comment on threads that have to do with buisness, our youths especially would claim that they have lost hope in the nation.
To me that is a flimsy excuse for not trying, if Nigeria were to be that bad we won't be having all these foreign mutinationals opening shop on a daily bases.
So my advice to us all is to look within ourselves, our immediate enviroment and tap into the immense opportunity that abound, we might eventually not be as wealthy as Dangote, but i can bet it that we would be better off millions of other people.
Romance / Re: 10 Mistakes Men Make With Women (for Men Only) by diesel86: 10:43am On Sep 13, 2012
Nice post, but me think it is too complicated for the naija guy to understand, am not going to start bragging about how i met a model or an actress and got intimate with them but one thing i can say is that i now av an increased success rate with women.
* What i always tell my guys is that when approaching a woman try as much as possible to visualize her as being like a friend not one u want to get intimate with, in fact try seeing her as being a male, it makes it easier to relate with her that way.
* Next step is to build friendship, call her once in a while like once or twice a week, that won't make u look desperate ( here it is important for a guy to be a least averagely informed on issues ranging from entertainment, fashion, politics and even sports ) cos ladies appreciate guys that can hold interactive conversations.
*You can then ask her out on dates by this time i can assure you she would not reject it. After like 3 dates or more you would definately start seeing changes and would then know when to really ask her for a more intimate relationship.
The only and surest rule while dealing with a lady u are just asking out is PATIENCE, don't rush things.....

Politics / Re: Why Barth Nnaji Resigned: Conflict Of Interest by diesel86: 7:36am On Aug 29, 2012
As far as am concerned Prof Barth is a man of honour, how many nigerian politicians would admit that the company in question was theirs. What most would have done would have been to use either their children in the case of TUKUR, ALI and the rest or their political allies to represent them.

@ c.fours you are so on point jare i don't even know what this easterners problem is really like, they come on the internet bashing other tribes we westerners especially. when it comes to the real world they start doing buisness with us like nothing ever transpired.
For the record i stay in ibadan in the ring- road area, where i say can be said to be well developed cos it is an estate, and i can point to about 4 houses in about 200m that are owned by igbo buisness men, pls Nlanders in what other parts of the nation can you see such.
Igbo men would build houses in other parts of the nation rent it out and still attend lanlord association meetings some areas even have igbo chairmen, so after giving you people such freedom you come online bashing us and shouting about seceeding, i beg make you just park well.
Most buisnesses in dugbe, oke padre, oke bola, challenge and some other places in ibadan are controlled by the igbos and am pretty sure that is what obtains in other parts of SW region..... One word you people are INGRATES.

Culture / Re: Do You Believe In These Superstitions? by diesel86: 8:39am On Aug 27, 2012
Am not the fetish type neither am i a religious freak but i myself know that somethings happen in these world of ours that defy explanation.
So back to the posters question all those things sure can happen, even albert einstein agreed that there was a power that he himself knows exist but could not explain, this powers had been mastered by our ancestors for centuries, but when the whitemen came with theirs they could offer explanations for their every single act making us to believe it was science but my dear N landers i can here tell you that science and vodoo are but one and the same thing but just packaged differently
