Forgive my saying if is seems out of place.

He said, his household are very interested in Yoruba movie channel.

In your above post you said you have a position in the west that can give him a Yoruba channel but with another dish installed.

He said he don't want to go that path because it is a rented apartment.

So here is my input. Why don't you both come to a compromise. That is to say,

Use the only available dish and turn it to any direction that you know will give his household the said Yoruba movie channel.
That way the issue of multiple dish in the compound is eliminated and his family still get to watch that Yoruba channel. That seems to be more valuable to them, than any other station that the said nigcomsat could possibly have given.

Just a thought that you both can explore

strong SRT 497s is 21500 and it's H.265 complaint and strong Mytv approved decoder,small but mighty.

Good suggestion.. However, I think he is only interested in using the satellite tuner embedded in his TV to achieve his goal. I may be wrong.

Almost all FTA decoder supports multiple LNB once it has a diseqc switch support.



Then when is comes to prices of decoder, I don't normally contribute because I am not a marketer. However you can get H.265 enabled decoder ranging from 10 - 22k or even more depending on the brand.

Bro I understand where you're coming from.

However Isn't one of the essence of this thread, is to dish out location of FTA channels SO WE CAN ENJOY IT WHILE IT LAST? ( OGA GEORGE D, I LIE? ).

Besides, is not like I am collecting any money from anyone to release the info, or come to fix such channels in the person's house. ( that would've been the clause In my effort to help).

Furthermore, the road to receiving / watching premium/ quality channels on FTA comes with a cost or sacrifice at some point in time. Which leads to one having multiple dishes, several decoders and even devices to either enjoy or manipulate to enjoy premium channels while it lasted.

Just like many many Years back when mbc channels was only receivable with big dishes. I got that info here, spent around 60k or so to buy. As if that was not enough. I heard of OSN stations, which made me spend another 20k to buy microbox in order to view it.

But at the end of the day, did microbox not stop working? Azsky, Aplus, Gsky, Qsat and some others I cannot even remember followed. Still it all came to an end at some point. But some enjoyed it for years, some enjoyed it for months, some enjoyed it for weeks and some just for days or even a day. All in the spirit of enjoying premium channels as FTA while it lasted.

The issue of best decoder to use comes down to personal choice and budget. But then, I normally use H.265 decoder.

I believe I already stated that fact in my earlier post.

Tracking 68.5 degree east when there is no obstruction in front of your dish, is like, (tree near tree make monkey dey behave like say him nor dey like waka for ground)
But once there is an obstruction in front of your dish ( then the trees are very far apart. Then you go see the way monkey go use idea dey stroll for ground to avoid story for the gods)

Don't mind me with that joke oh.. It reminded me of how an installer spend a whole day trying to nail that sat and finally gave up in the night telling the people he came to work for that the signal is not available in that particular location. Simply because he did not observe the line of sight before and while tracking.

So my brother, just observe the line of sight and you will notice what is obstructing the signal from hitting your dish.

Also, sometimes your mounting Pole alignment can still contribute to it, when it is not well plumped .

Further more if you like two to three dish already installed.

Take for example

Dish one is joy TV

Dish two is nigcomsat

And you are trying to install your church station in dish three.

You can try testing if the signal will pop up in the joy TV or nigcomsat dish position. Sometimes it works.

Probably is because the way your LNB was skewed. That frequency is not active once your LNB is in 3,0 clock.
But make we leave like that because debating about it serves us no good. Happy for you

Pls I need tracking frequency for satellites with good Free-to-air TV stations. I know of multiTv on 28°. I have three 90cm dishes and I stay in ogun state

For foreign movie content = MBC 2 & MBC max will take care of that.  Then MBC ACTION shows foreign series/ WWE as well. NTA, TVC NEWS are still there as well... Point your dish to 42.5 degree east nigcomsat position ( Tracking frequency 12519 H 29500)


Then for African movie you will have to point your dish or another dish to ( 33 degree east) to receive a channel called Ghallywood tv. For 24 hours African movie. ( Tracking frequency 11015 V 30000)


Then for music.  There is a channel called boomTV  located at 16 degree east
( Tracking frequency 10804 H 30000)


You can still get a full collection of foreign movie, Nollywood movie and others In a single dish on ABS3 @3.0 degree west

The building stand a good chance in deflecting the signal from hitting your dish.

You can try and take that particular dish away from the tall building. Look for an open space with no obstacle,

( you can use a mob stick or anything of sort to experiment the exact location where you got a better signal before permanently installing the dish)

install the dish there and extend the wire to your Diseqc switch .

Ogbeni take am easy.. I said it before i am New to this and i only have one 60cm dish installed.. My installer is suggesting me getting another dish and lnb just so I can get Joy tv. The thing no gel for my ear�, i doubt joytv channels are worth that extra 11k

I remember you saying in one of your post that your dish is in hotbird position. Now reading the post above, you said you have a 60cm dish. Which Is strange, because that size of dish cannot even track hotbird in my dreams.

But make we leave that one. So let me try to understand you... You have a 60cm fish and you are new, but you want to turn the 60cm dish to another direction, or you want to use only the 60cm dish to track another satellite without removing it from where is was initially installed?

Also what is the name of the decoder you're using?


I don't know whichever applies to your situation. So do try a little more to be specific by pointing out the real situation. That way I or anybody can get the clear picture...

Point to note where tracking the above Satellite.

The signal is not as strong as that of those satellite facing up.

Standing behind your dish, always move further to your left hand side

Most importantly, always make sure that there is no obstruction in front of you. Like buildings/ trees

If possible use a new LNB.

If I may ask, what device are you using to track it.. Decoder or satellite finder?

Standing in front of your dish. Just imagine where 2pm will be on a wall clock. Then position where you will connect your wire on the LNB to face that direction .

On multiple/several pages, the issue of decoders to suit whatever purpose you want to achieve has been discussed.


It pays a lot to take the time out to read the previous pages on this thread like an FTA USER MANUAL. THAT WAY YOU GET QUALITY AND REALISTIC INFORMATION GIVEN OUT BY MULTIPLE MINDS/USER/ INSTALLER. By so doing, you will not end up asking repeated questions that has been dealt with extensively.

I snapped that dish position of a bet9ja shop.... which i guess is 7e
I have my own white 85cm Dstv dish installed in same direction at about 73 % and no bet9ja virtuals pop up after blind scanning

That dish is not pointed @ 7 degree east but rather pointed @ 4.9degree east .

So all you have to do is to realign your dish to that exact position using the frequency I gave you to track.

I have 7e on white Dstv 85cm dish but it's not popping up.Though the bet9ja dish is 90cm blue type

Forgive my question, is the bet9ja on the blue dish not giving you what you want. Because I am still trying to wrap my head on why you still want it installed in the 7 degree east dish
