Guys one channel just pop up on this frequency 10987 v 2500 @ 51.5 east (tstv position) Just looking at it with corner eye... Still trying to make sense of it as the signal still went off after sometime |
tchijioke:Except your signal is not acceptable after tweaking as MrSuama advice. Should you consider other alternatives. Good luck |
tchijioke:Your decoder is very capable of getting those channels. |
tchijioke:If I may ask, what decoder are you using? |
nora2018:For me it is effective... For you, well it doesn't really harm to give It a try. It's just a few megabytes download. |
tchijioke:If I were to be in your shoes, I will go back to my dish and make sure 11090 V 30000 signal is active ( pop up). If not then I have to address that as the problem. But if the signal on the dish is active/green on my tracker. Then I will know the problem is from my decoder. So please, use 11090 V 30000 for doing your tracking first . Confirmed you've tracked it, (that exact frequency is showing green on your tracker) Before going inside the house to scan it on your decoder. Then if your decoder does not see the signal after that. We can then speculate on the decoder being the issue. |
AshipaEk0:Your dish goes few inches down-left, from 42e to 51e Sat Combination depends on location signal strength and the person doing the tracking. However here are some possible combination = 51e /42e/36e/32.9e/28e |
nbolaji:You're welcome. |
nora2018:Together we can be our brothers keeper |
eleojo23:I will strongly advice that you call their customer care directly. To get a current info on that. I don't know of Nigeria but in south Africa it's obtainable for multichoice. |
bolyjay:I believe this question has been answered. However this is their operating frequency in Belintersat 1 at 51.5°E 11090 v 30000 |
adubam:No bro, they just moved to the latest happening sat. Belintersat 1 at 51.5°E |
Spy360:Yes it does.. Depending on the strength of the satellite signal you're tracking. For example I have seen signal in 16e, 28e.36e 51e still firing on so badly rusted dishes. Just saying. |
nbolaji:I am going to make this simple for you. From a personal experience over the years. I have come to a resolve that buying a decoder that is embedded with premium = African movie Foreign movie News Music And probably sports ( even if not live football) That you pay little or nothing to watch, before you start thinking of adding other dishes or satellite position to watch other free to air station is the Way to go. Because in do so.. You don't have to worry if the stations will someday go off or totally get bored of not actually getting anything premium or reasonable to watch, for yourself or family members. Whenever you turn your TV on. As of today, only two decoders can actually give you that safety ( I stand to be corrected) So which are they you may ask? (1) Strong 497S (price for decoder, around 20k or above) has a guaranteed embedded premium stations for African movie, foreign movie, news, news. That you pay not more than 2k5 to 3k yearly ( depending on where / platform you are using to subscribe from) . Which is achievable with just one dish. After that you can still decide if you wish to add an extra dish or 3 more dishes or LNB to get whatever free stations is out there. ( MEANING IT CAN STILL BE USED FOR FTA ) it's H.265 compatible and it multisteam. (2) OURTV decoder ( company price 11900 naira but can not be more than 13k from outside source) It also has a guaranteed embedded premium channels for African movie, foreign movie, cartoon, news, music, sports ( though not live). All receivable with one dish. After that you can still add three more dishes or LNB ( MEANING IT CAN STILL BE USED FOR FTA) However there is no software for now to make it multi stream but it's H.265 compatible . However, there are still many decoders out there in the market that can be used to hunt for FTA stations but don't come embedded with premium station from factory. TSTV decoder has their own channels as well and can still serve for FTA purposes but I am not confident enough to add it to the list yet. Judging from history. So meditate on where your priorities lies, for in doing so, you will make a better choice on which decoder in the market suits your real needs. One love |
tchijioke:Very very much available. However, do remember that your decoder has to be H.265 compatible |
adubam:No doubt. I think the beauty of FTA, comes when you don't overly compromise or try to cut corners. That way you don't always have to be disturbing yourself over signal lose or weather conditions as you rightly pointed out. Because trying to eat your cake and still have it, is not really the best approach to enjoying a stress-free FTA. |
Cheny:You are really on point. Some just don't want to go through the pain of reading. They just love being baby fed. If the people that are dishing out the info did not take the pain to read, research and undergo the practical. I don't think they will be so well informed to give out information and help. I remember back in the day when I was new to this FTA thing. I made sure I read from page one to the end before even attempting to ask anybody questions here. Even in this present day, I still take the time out to read previous pages in this forum. Just to keep up to date with what has been happening. Because for so long a time, the son of man has been busy with other affairs of lives besides FTA. All and all.. It pays to read as many pages as possible. Because by so doing, even if you're new to FTA or old to it. You just might have the right answer to some, if not all the questions that might pop up here. Less I forget.. Thanks for the info you dish out. Someone here will definitely find it valuable One love |
adubam:Bro the suffer na part of the thrill of FTA. Especially if the guy finally catch the signal. That thrill will be amazing for him. Nice one bro |
Spy360:Exactly. If everybody dey lock up, simply because it might be encrypted anytime. Then we all would have been stock with boring joyTV position over the years. |
adubam:Excellent... He can still make 42e primary and attach 28e as secondary to the LNB holder below. Then 51.1e TSTV on top of the 42e as the third LNB. Just a thought |
Acrofab:If I may, it's not about how many channels a decoder can get. But the quality/ premium channels it can actually give you. So for me, quality/premium always win over quantity. As regards to the strongest stg 900a, I have to be sure about the spec before saying it's a guy buy. So maybe I will just google it and come up with an answer. Or better still there might be a first hand user here who can help us out with that. Meanwhile, strong 497S is good if you're willing to spend above 20k on a decoder. While OURTV decoder is also nice if you don't want to go above 12k Other than that, you can look for decoders that are H.265 enabled but cheaper. Which seems to be the norm at the moment. |
Cheny:OK bro now I got the reason why you said that, apologies. Never knew it was a multiple LNB install. Was thinking it was a single LNB install. |
waleayeni1:Also try to always observe line of sight. Because a slight blockage /obstruction can easily making your tracking difficult. Especially when you are tracking satellite position that makes the dish not to face the sky. Also a satellite position with a tricky signal or alignment. The attached image will give a clue to what I am trying to say
|
lexxybb:12284 v 27500 = MBC |
nbolaji:The issue of decoders have been discussed on various layers in the previous pages. However, I have a quick question for you, the answer you give will give way for the right suggestions. How much I you willing to spend on FTA? |
nora2018:LNB skew = between 3.0 clock / 4.0 clock Dish size =90cm for 3/7 degree west. For better signal ( though you can still get it with 60cm , depending on your tracking skills and the signal strength in your location) Dish size = from 60cm to 90cm for 51.1 east (TSTV POSITION) |
nora2018:The mob you use for house cleaning. The handle is what I am referring to, that you should use as a stand. You tight the dish to it and look for an open space to try out the tp. Just to get an idea of where the signal pops up. Then after you have gotten the signal.. You can now mount your dish on the wall or roof in that exact position. The whole idea is for you to just experiment with it to find out where is best to nail or hang your dish. Instead of having to pull the dish hanger from anywhere you have nailed it before initially, because you could not get a signal. It doesn't really have to be a mob stick.. It could be a short pole or even a normal wood that is not less than four feet tall. I hope you get the picture? |
nora2018:Excellent advice |
