Christianity EtcRe: Is Wealth Tied To A Particular Religion? by diliekene: 7:47pm On Oct 09, 2018
Rapmoney:
IS WEALTH TIED TO A PARTICULAR RELIGION?

Often times, I have heard people say you must subscribe to a particular religion, sow seeds, pay tithes and do as you are commanded in order to access wealth. Mentality is a very powerful phenomenon that has the capacity to uplift and also destroy people financially. It all depends on how one sees life. Your mentality rules you.

I strongly believe that the greatest manifestation of God lies in nature, which abound in every natural thing or occurrence that exist on earth. This means that nature and natural things have been given to everyone irrespective of whatever one believes in; whether Budduism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Zionism, Olokun, Ogun, Amadioha, Egbejugbele, Atheism, Polytheism or Nihilism.

Every material thing that has been invented on earth which creates wealth for the producers and others, in one way or the other, has been made from nature/natural things; again, these natural things which often translate to wealth have been given to everyone; even the so-called 'pagan'!!! How then is wealth tied to a particular religion? If you claim wealth is tied to your religion, how come wealthy people are found in all religious backgrounds?

There are natural laws that guide wealth. These laws are binding on everyone irrespective of religious affiliations. Efforts, patience, wise decisions and giving are core content of these laws. It does not matter who one gives to; whether you give to a magician, a medical doctor, a witch, a brothel operator, a pastor, an imam or an Orumila worshipper, you must always receive, for nature usually takes its course. Do not be fooled. No man is greater than this!

Scandinavian countries such as Sweden, Denmark and Norway have very strong economies, stable social and political systems, yet, majority of the citizens do not hold any religious views. They wake up every morning and do what is right, and the result shows in the standard of life they live. They neither attend pilgrimage in droves nor spend state funds unnecessarily in organising and sponsoring worshippers for same. They neither pray nor fast for their socio-economic systems to be stable! All they do is the right thing. If countries like Sweden, Denmark, Norway and China attained their present economic levels due to religious attachment, then I too would like to identify with and worship the God that is worshipped in these countries!!! It means their God is more concerned or interested in giving wealth to individuals and societies than the one that has been created in the minds of many poor Africans!

Japan is among the countries with the highest per capita income in the world, which is above 29,000 US Dollars! Do you think they were too religious to have attained that?

Before you become a religious zealot in calling me an atheist, I am not. I believe there is a Supreme Force which manifests 'himself' in nature and nothing more. I don't know what you call this Supreme Force as that is irrelevant to me. My belief was not drawn from any religious book but through personal conviction. He does not require anything, be it gifts or whatever, from us to be successful. The natural laws for wealth which have been laid down are the requirements. When you create a relationship with NATURE, you will discover the laws. The attributes many religious folks ascribe to the Supreme Force is often times ridiculous. This Spirit or Force cannot be in the form of man as many erroneously think. He does not grant us electricity when we pray for NEPA to 'bring' light. 'God, make NEPA bring light' cannot be how NATURE wants us to tackle power failure in Nigeria. The resources have been presented to us to use.

The over dependency on unreliable phenomena such as faith has made many to blindly become lazy which contradicts the natural laws of wealth. If our pockets are empty, they should be able to ask our brains and hands why it is so and not asking some magic daddy we have created in our minds who doles out money in different currencies to his 'children'.

a very interesting write up i must say but let me drop some point here say u talk about a force when we are one with that force if am quoting u right well that. Force is God in Nigerian contents look not matter how hard you work to get the paper there is always the God effect in hustle cos the truth is we are always trying to be put in right with the force/God so that the hustle pays my question to u sir is do u believe there is a God?

According to the American man, all he has heard about Nigeria is that 'if you don't open up your pocket and pay everyone from the lowest to the highest, you don't get anything done'. He concluded his speech by stating that ' as an intelligent person, you need to get out of Nigeria if you want to get ahead, because the powers that be wants to hold everybody down; especially women and intelligent people'.

obailala:
Haha... Just the exact mindset I was talking about. But I'm sorry you are wrong!

Now let's analyse this, a train is faster, more comfortable and safer than cars. Trains and railway systems are also far more expensive to maintain than cars and road. So bro, what exactly is the logic behind this expectation that trains should be cheaper than cars or buses?

Apparently many do not know that rail transport is more expensive than road transport in developed countries. As an extreme (bizarre) example, it cost more to catch the train from London to Edinburgh in the UK than to catch a flight which gets you there in a tiny fraction of the time. A bus for that same journey gets you there at twice the time but 1-tenth of the cost of the train ticket. In a nutshell, modern trains aren't cheaper in the developed world.

MODERN trains are not meant to be 'poverty alleviation schemes', we just watch too many indian movies where you see old rickety trains with the poor sitting on the roof, that I believe is where we mostly draw this idea from that trains should be for the poor.
thank you for that piece of information that was quite enlightened never knew that

Blackberry Evolve X And Evolve First Look: Price, Specs & More
The well-known Canadian company, BlackBerry is not dead, at least not as a trademark. The company currently licenses its name to other manufacturers. It is based on this type of partnership that Optiemus Infracom is launching two mid-range Android smartphones: BlackBerry Evolve and Evolve X. Initially both will be marketed in India.

The specifications are similar. Both models have a 5.99-inch IPS screen with full HD resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 64 GB of internal space for microSD expandable data storage, 20-megapixel front camera, 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and Android 8.1 Oreo. Moreover, even though they bear the BlackBerry brand, none of them have a physical keyboard.

Other common features include support for two SIM cards, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB-C port, a fingerprint reader on the back, FM radio and headphone jack.

In other specs, the BlackBerry Evolve comes with 1.8 GHz Snapdragon 450 chip with Adreno 506 GPU, 4 GB RAM and 13 + 13-megapixel dual rear camera.

In turn, the BlackBerry Evolve X comes with a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 processor, Adreno 512 GPU, 6GB RAM and dual 12 + 13-megapixel dual rear camera, Dolby Atmos audio, and wireless recharge standard support Qi.

It’s not just in appearance that both models carry the BlackBerry brand. Licensing also allows both Evolve and Evolve X to bring BlackBerry productivity and protection tools, including DTEK, which monitors application security parameters, and Hub+, which brings the calendar, launcher, password manager, to-do list and related.

Moreover, the BlackBerry Evolve sales will start this month. The device should be priced at approximately $360. Evolve X is scheduled for September with an estimated price of $510. At least for now, there is no forecast to launch outside India.

PoliticsRe: Why Nigerians Should Stop Lying By Aroms Aigbehi by diliekene: 9:41pm On Jun 06, 2018
Opinionated:
By Dr Aroms Aigbehi

I used to have a worker in Nigeria whose mother died three times in one year. For sure, it was a lie, But that is the extent many people want to go in Nigeria with lying. To lie has become a national sport. If you don’t lie in Nigeria then you are a ‘mumu’. The question is not who is telling you a truth, but rather, who is not telling you a lie.

This is the major vice that have destroyed Nigeria. To lie has become path of the Nigeria culture. The negative effect of lie is so huge that it cannot be quantify yet. It has been the major bane of Nigeria culture. It has destroyed the economy, the education, the culture, the family, the religious and the moral fabric of the society. It has basically truncated the progress and yet people still ask me “tell us which way forward now.” People, just stop lying. That is the first place to start.

To lie has become too normal in Nigerian society where everybody profess to be either a Muslim or a Christian where their God forbid people to lie.

Both the Bible and the Quran are against lying and yet most of our Nigerian Christians and Muslims are some of the best liars in the world. I often wonder what people think when they go to church or the mosque to pray when they lie to the prayer ground and lie back home. Do they really think God is stupid that he can be mocked? Well that is not what I read in Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows”

Lying Nigerians want to go to heaven. I tell you based on what I have read in the Bible and I was told also from the Quran that people who have engraved lying into their culture will not go to heaven, if that is what you believe. Anytime you lie for little things like, when someone asked you how far are you? You say I am five minutes away when you are still really at home. Or, for very big things like telling people God spoke to you last night when in fact you were passed out from drinking beer. Realize that you are an abomination to your God. I didn’t make it up so don’t get angry at me, I am just a messenger.

The Bible said it. “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.” Proverbs 12:22

I don’t care what religion you profess, if you really follow the moral principles of your religion your society will be a much better place. If your society is in disarray like Nigeria is. It means people have abandoned their moral compass and forgotten their true north.

Next time you lie ask yourself was it worth it?
