Its Arsenal first game in Europe this season and considering the other teams in our group, Arsenal are strong favourites to finish first in the group. Its has become customary for arsenal to qualify from the group stage as we are one of only three teams to have qualified from the groups stage in the past 10 consecutive years of CL football. Arsenal will be playin at the Grove and therefore we fans could expect a full attack strategy. The tie could be concluded in this first leg if the gunns live up to fans expectation of scoring many goals in each match. The defense has been far from perfect with arsenal finding it hard to keep the sheets clean so far, but with the return of  Vermalen,we should have a even stronger defense than the decent pair we used in the last match. Diaby is ruled out so wishere or denilson will be on duty. Sagna and Clichy too should start and maybe eboue will in front of sagna. Nasri should be fit enough for a start and Chamakh remains the arrowhead.
AW is known for respectin all opposition big or small so we can be assured Braga wont be unestimated. Anyways Arsenal still hold Braggin right in this tie.

The real big picture is that arsenal is doing great so far n the tradition of scoring several goals is unchanged. I think its unfair to say arsenal kept a clean sheet in the only game Kos missed. it may be true,but Kos had nothin to do wit the goal we conceded at anfield. if anything,he handled torres fine. The guy in question is playin the the EPL for the first time,and an arsenal team plagued wit defensive woes in recent times. Arsenal fans shouldnt compound the pressure he is already facing. The defense is far better than what we had to cope wit last term and we score more than we concieve in each game. Thats what important

From a defense made of old,weak legs,mixed with sheer incompetence and suspect independability in the likes of senderous,silvestre,campbell,traore and even gallas to one clearly oozing with confidence and mental stregth in verm,squillaci,kos,clichy/Gibbs, I think you are been gross in using 'mediocrity' to describe arsenals defense. for once,we have become good in the air and stable on the ball. personally,i cant wait to c verm/sqills pair. Rosicky clearly is one of the most underrated midfielders in world football,and I must admit that arsenal being trophyless for so long is the major reason. He is clearly a midfied maestro. I like xavi,but even xavi cant do a rosicky on the czech's day.

as per Kos,why are my felloe gooners been so blind to this guy's goodies. all of the critic comments here,none included that he got a fought-for goal. His mistake cost us,but he is so composed,matured and constructive on the ball. He was dazed by a knock,the same kinds stuff that made agger stagger like a drunk but kos contained the shock well. The guy in my opinion is VERY COMPETENT.

as of squillaci, he was magnificient. strong,able,grown. but he has not yet bn deployed to the suspect RCB where vermalean's eventual partner will have to hold down,but looks reliable so far.

i shuld apologise to the captain, cos i was really cursin at him in the first half.
