In-depth explanation. But I don't think it will stop those Orlu boys from ranting. Anyways, many thanks for taking your time to explain it to him.
You wrote Orlu boys are ranting.

Gov. Okorocha severely and proudly undermines development and urbanisation of Orlu and Orlu zone because of his personal business interest.

Lol, this man again? Well you can continue with your rhetoric, it's actually a comic relief. You mentioned Delta and Anambra states in your comparative analysis but you failed to take cognizance of some factors in those states that are not mutually intelligible with Imo state. Onitsha & Warri are the biggest, commercial and economic centers of both Anambra and Delta states respectively, but Owerri is the economic, political and commercial nerve center of Imo state. Other states like Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Enugu, Oyo, Ekiti etc share the same type of demography with Imo hence why development is centered in the capital cities. I'm not saying that other towns in Imo should be ignored (which apparently is not even the case) but focus of any government will certainly be in the place/city that has the highest value or most multiplier effect in the state. Let me give you an example, if the limited resources is used to spread development evenly across the state, we will have mediocre towns that no one/investors will want to come to when they have better options elsewhere and the state loses out, but when we have a city that is comparable with the best anywhere, it will lure investors to the state and the IGR will be boosted which will aid in further development of the state. I have taken my time to explain to you, but if you continue in this Pat of being a local champion, that will be repeating the same lines about Orlu like a broken record, then I will perpetually press the ignore button. Ndeewo!
In 1976 when Imo state was created, there were hardly any differences in the levels of urbanisation between Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe.

If Nigeria unfortunately gets a president who for seven years devotes nearly all the capital development funds of Nigeria on building Abuja to rival London, but pays lip service development to Owerri and other cities in Nigeria, heaven shall break lose.

Capital city is seat of government. It is not a place a state governor who has his businesses in the capital city therefore diverts most of the state's capital development budgets on building in the capital city to attract huge population to the capital to patronize the governor's businesses. Imo state since 2012.

For example, Tallahassee is capital of the state of Florida. But Miami, Orlando, Tampa in Florida are larger than Tallahassee. No governor of Florida can be watched as he devotes most of the Capital development funds of the state of Florida to building Tallahassee to "befitting state capital to impress investors coming to Florida" .

In Imo state, there are lots of half-baked and semi-illiterates who hardly understand that a State capital is not meant to be accorded special or more development attention than any other place in the same state.

Nigeria's constitution mapped out 3 senatorial districts for development in Imo state. Yearly capital development funds of Imo state government are meant to provide infrastructures equally to the three zones.

But a badly informed state governor now flouts Nigeria's constitution by diverting excessively undue amount of Imo state's capital development funds to destroying and reconstruction in Owerri, thus dwarfing development of the other 2 zones in Imo state.

Rochas should try and get Owerri airport to be assigned as an international airport since it's already the fourth busiest in the country and Owerri will easily become an global city.

Rochas legacy in Owerri will be remembered for ages to come.
Rochas' excess development legacy in Owerri accounting for the underdevelopment and deterioration of Orlu, Okigwe and other lgas of Imo state for seven years..

A state governor making his state capital have a century of modernity ahead of rest of his state - the governor has selfish business interest.

In other states of Nigeria, Delta state for example: much of the modern development infrastructures in Asaba are in Warri, Sapele,

In Anambra state, development infrastructures in Awka are in Onitsha, to some degree in Nnewi.

Most parochial and barley-educated Imolites sing praises to a governor who pays only lip service to development of about 93% of land area of Imo state, but gets fixated on the state capital which constituted about 7% of Imo state.,

the federal allocations of the 27 lgas meant for development of all of Imo state, where is it?

Uncle take it easy with the lie na. 10 lanes sha undecided . They are only constructing new drainages to control flooding during the rains.
They should have done this earlier on during the dry season. I bet they wouldn't have done one/quater of that road b4 the rains fully start.
Thank gov. Okorocha for once.

Flood is not threatening any house or Catholic Church on Wethrel road, Owerri.

Okorocha destroys Wethrel road gutters done by former governors, and says he is expanding Wethrel Road gutters.

In Orlu, flood has been threatening to pull down St. Joseph's Catholic Church and many multi-storey buildings

Okorocha govt remains aloof, instead of completing Orlu urban drainage gutter.
You don't see something wrong with this govt; because it's wasting Imo state funds including federal allocations of Orlu urban lga in destroying and rebuilding in your City Owerri;

You disgusting and most parochial Nitwit can't even vote a governorship candidate supported by Okorocha, once the candidate does not come from Owerri.
Politics › Re: Few Pics From Imo State by discusant: 10:02pm On Mar 09, 2018
Abogwara:
The opponents of Governor Rochas Okorocha’s administration in Imo State appear somewhat frustrated. Out of this self-inflicted frustration, you see anger, hatred, and, to a large extent, stagnation. To ease this frustration, they always try to make something out of every incident or situation in the state. They pursue with vigour whatever they think can help them out of this frustration, but all to no avail. They have not been able to make any headway. And there is a reason for that.
The reason is this: All those leading the motley opposition in the state have been one thing or the other. Some of them were senators, governors and House of Representatives members. And Imo people know them, their antics, their antecedents, weaknesses and strength, if any. They have, therefore, no valid claim to make against Governor Okorocha or against his administration. So, what they normally do is to use every issue that comes up to scratch the governor to see whether that can help them in any way.
For instance, look at the alleged attack against the Catholic Bishop of Owerri Diocese, Archbishop Anthony Obinna. The opponents of the administration have been labouring in vain to see if they could score any political goal with that false allegation, even when the man at the centre of the matter had spoken, indeed, the truth of the matter. The Archbishop himself told The Guardian, one of the most reputable newspapers in this country, on Monday, March 5, 2018 (Page cool: “Please tell the people the truth. Nothing like that happened. Nobody beat me. I was neither beaten nor manhandled by any person.” That was 24 hours after what was said to have happened at the burial service. If it were any other person that said that, they would have said the government had gone to bribe him or her to say the opposite of what happened. But they cannot say that about the Bishop. Yet, they have continued to make much noise about an incident that only occurred in their blurred imaginations because they are not keen on the truth but on blackmail.
And mind you, up until now, the Bishop has not denied The Guardian report. You then ask, whose report do we believe? The report of the Archbishop said to have been beaten but who said he was not beaten, or the report of a few political opponents in the state? These guys have a fundamental case. They do not know what to do to stop Imo people from loving Okorocha and appreciating his administration. Don’t forget too that when the incident happened, they first said it was Hon. Uche Nwosu, Chief of Staff, Government House, who asked the people to attack the Bishop. When they could not sustain that blackmail, they began to talk about Okorocha, who was not even at the funeral church service. They are desperate about 2019 and have gone haywire.
Writing on the issue on the back page of the Daily Sun of Wednesday, March 7, 2018, one element picked on Governor Okorocha over the issue. He is one of those hired briefcase writers these desperate politicians have engaged to write for them from their hotel rooms. The guy said his name is Ndii Duroha. “Ndii” is not a name. “Ndii” in Igbo is a small creature that looks like a monster and you can use it to frighten little children. And “Duroha” is not also a name. What the Igbo have is “Duruoha.” These are all couriers of blackmail.
You do not also forget that, in 2015, there was nothing they didn’t call Okorocha to also see whether that could help them. They called him “Alhaji in Government House, Okoro Hausa, Buhari-Rochas,” and even said the chapel he built in front of Government House was a mosque. And that the cheque of N450 million he gave to mission schools was dud, when in actual fact it was cashed. They also said that he joined the merger that gave birth to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to assist President Muhammadu Buhari to Islamise Igboland. Unfortunately for them, all this blackmail never helped them in 2015. And there is also no possibility that it would help them in 2019.
Have you asked why they do not talk about demolitions again in Owerri and environs? The reason is that Imo people would stone anybody who talks about that again because they have seen the gains of the Urban Renewal Programme, with Owerri and environs having 10-lane roads at the moment. The exercise is going on now at Wetheral Road, but nobody is talking about it anymore. Why do they not talk about Ekeukwu Owerri Market again? Because they have also seen the differences between the ultra-modern markets built by the government and the shanties they had called markets. Why have they stopped criticising the free education programme? It is because Imo people have seen and are enjoying the benefits of the programme. The state has since 2012 sustained its lead in JAMB applications and is doing well in all spheres. Poor parents do not give out their children again to serve as houseboys or girls. And hawking has disappeared on the streets of Owerri.
The school enrolment that was 280,000 in 2011 has snowballed to 1.2 million at the moment. The poverty level in the state as at 2011 was 57 per cent but today it has gone down to 19 per cent. The record is there.
In fact, have you also asked yourself why these opponents do not accuse Rochas Okorocha of non-performance? None has ever said that. They can only talk about pensions because we have some issues with pension matters. And the issues will soon be resolved. We do not owe salary. And we have always claimed that the achievements of Rochas Okorocha in seven years as governor have far exceeded or surpassed all that those who had governed the state before him since its creation in 1976, both military and civilian put together, had achieved. We have also claimed that Okorocha has more than 1,000 verifiable amazing projects to his credit. And we have challenged anybody who has a contrary claim to that effect to come forward. Luckily enough, some of the ex-governors are still alive. Why is nobody challenging us on these innocuous claims? Money cannot be their problem. They have it. So let them publish what they have, from 1979 to 2011, and we publish ours, with their locations, from 2011 to 2018. That is the best way to go. Blackmail does not make any meaning but valid claims.
What is also the headache of our opponents is 2019. They have no response to our achievements and Imo people see these exploits. So, what would someone tell them in 2019? Okorocha has said he would want someone who would sustain these monumental achievements to succeed him, including free education. And you think Imo people will listen to those who have eaten fat from the purse of the state, than listen to a man who has shown that leadership is all about service to God and humanity? Like we have always intoned, our achievements would be our electoral talisman in 2019.
Now, the issue of Nwosu succeeding Okorocha! Even before the governor came out to say he would support Nwosu, if he comes out for the 2019 governorship, hundreds of thousands of youths, students and women had embarked on solidarity rallies calling on the guy to contest. As we write, 24 out of the 37 local governments in the state have endorsed him because they have seen him as someone who would even work to surpass Okorocha’s record. And it is like a revolution. Why is everybody, including those in APGA, PDP and others, talking about Uche Nwosu? He has become the hottest political figure in the state today, because opponents are yet to see anybody who can beat him in the 2019 election. The major voters in Imo are the youth and women. I am yet to see any aspirant or candidate that will appeal to these groups more than Nwosu. That is the reason for the whole noise.
Again, one of the leading opponents, for instance, was the governorship candidate of PDP in 2007 and he failed. In 2011, he was the candidate of ACN and in the election he came fourth. In 2015, he failed in the PDP primary. So, what did he not have in 2007, 2011 and 2015 that he will have in 2019 to the extent of defeating Nwosu? Another one was governor for four years. He was voted out after his first tenure. In 2015, he failed the PDP primary.
What will be his magic in 2019? One of them had all the federal agencies at his disposal in the 2015 governorship election.
Yet, he could only win in the three local governments that make up where he comes from. So, what other miracle would he perform in 2019? Other aspirants have only come to be counted. This is the reason behind all the political noise in Imo. They know that Nwosu is the man to beat.
They have not also said any other thing against Uche Nwosu except that he is an in-law to Okorocha. And even those who should now better are talking about that. An Nkwerre man cannot be governor because he married the governor’s daughter from Ideato. They have dropped the issue of zoning because they have seen that, since 1979, the governorship of the state has never been left exclusively for any particular zone. That is the campaign for weaker aspirants. And we are contending that, if the only issue Nwosu has for which he cannot be governor is being an in-law to Governor Okorocha, then we should give America back their democracy, since that is where we copied from. The same America, where George Bush became the 43rd president, after his father, George Herbert Walker Bush, had been the country’s 41st president. Again, Bill Clinton was president of America and the wife, Hillary Clinton, was senator and became the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party in the 2016 election. And Americans never talked about her husband being president of that country but concentrated on the capacity of the woman. The question becomes, when will our own democracy grow?
The truth of the matter is that the fate of Uche Nwosu is, first, in the hand of God and, secondly, in the hands of the Imo electorate and not in the hands of weak opponents.

• Onwuemeodo is Chief Press Secretary to Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Smart Alec, Onwuemeodo from Mbaise misleading gov. Okorocha 24/7.

Around May 2012, Gov. Okorocha was advised: "first build us a befitting capital city in Owerri to look like Dubai of Africa, after that, future governors can start to do development projects outside the state capital."

Okorocha bought the idea, abandoned even road works he started outside the state capital since then. He has been building nearly all his development projects in Owerri since then.

Okorocha even established a new Campus of IMSU in Mbaise, in Owerri zone, which already hosts all the three public subsidized universities in Imo state.

Today, the fiercest opponents of gov. Okorocha's succession plans are from Okorocha's native Orlu senatorial district which Okorocha's govt drastically shortchanged, denied what are due to the area in all the seven years.

Okorocha has no body to tell him the reality of the time.

How on earth could a state governor be blindfolded to believe that the state capital deserves nearly every development project of the government?

Now, political leaders of Owerri zone say it's Owerri zone's turn to produce the governor of the state. That was the underlying cause of the rift that involved the Archbishop in a burial ceremony.

People of Orlu zone vehemently insist they can't support another governor seconded by Rochas Okorocha, a new governor most likely to continue with Okorocha's policy that other zones of Imo state must wait until Owerri becomes a mega city.

Election time has come, the time to give account.

Triton1996:
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikeja Branch, says its would march against the revised Land Use Charge on Tuesday March 13 if Governor Akinwunmi Ambode failed to reverse the “hell tax”.

Chairman of the Branch, Mr. Adesina Ogunlana, told newsmen on Wednesday that protest will start from the Branch Secretariat in Ikeja down to the Lagos State Secretariat in Alausa.
He disclosed that the march had been tagged “Hell Tax Must Go”.
Ogunlana said: “Few weeks ago, Lagosians woke up to learn about the hyper-inflated rate of the so called “Land Use Charge” which the Governor of Lagos has escalated upwards 400 percent.
“Recently, one of our colleagues who regularly pay the sum of under N140,000 as LUC for office building received a notice of the LUC demand, he is now to pay the amount of N2 million.
“If these tax rates are allowed, Lagos state would be turned into a ‘Toxic Environment and a living hell’ for Lagosians.”
Ogunlana warned that the increase in property tax of the LUC will have an adverse effect on all other services as owners of properties and services will automatically transfer other financial burdens to their customers.
“My view is that the government of Lagos State has lost sync with the difficult and harsh realities of life of the people of Lagos and has taken their support and goodwill for his government for granted.”
“Life will become not only too expensive but volatile and dangerous.
“The government cannot hide under “Developing Lagos into a Mega Smart City” to kill Lagosians with Pharaoic Taxes,” the legal practitioner said.

But your consistent whining for years now in a wrong platform such as nairaland has killed every bit of sincerity in you. For your information, I'm an Orlu man too and what concerns Orlu concerns me. But you don't see me come out here to always whine and derail the thread. Now, you are crying more than the bereaved and you know that this is the truth! Yes, Orlu needs development to be at par with other developed cities in the east, and yes Orlu drainage system needs to be taken into consideration by Rochas, but don't you think these cries have already been tabled to the Governor?
1) Rochas is an Orlu man and even the drainage in question passes through Ideato road. So if anyone will show much concern about such disaster in waiting then it should be Rochas.
2) Orlu has OPOCA, which is a strong political and cultural group. This group office is domiciled close to the Orlu Diocese where that erosion threatens the church. So shouldn't they be more concerned about the threat it poses?
3) Orlu controls the voting pattern and political stronghold of Imo politics. Orlu has even produced more number of governors than other senatorial zone in the state. So the development of Orlu city should be the outmost concern. Unless we are let to believe that certain godfatheristic elements have substituted the developmental gains accruing to the city to their pockets. Don't be surprised about this? Because there is no way Rochas will insist on abandoning Orlu without those heavyweights speaking up.
So next time you come out to whine, just reread my post again and take your grievances to the appropriate quarters and not here. The purpose of this thread is aimed at showcasing the developmental strides of our dear state. Abagworo for a long time has been the one keeping this thread going. At least he goes around taking pictures and updating Imolites about happenings in our state. Centre-piece of the tune is about flooding.

Flooding in Orlu, starting from this St Joseph's Catholic Church area worsened after Gov Okorocha's inconclusive gutter that led to nowhere; there was no tune here about flooding during Ohakim's govt era.

To put it better so that a minion can understand:

flooding of Orlu after every rain made former governor Ikwechegh give out job to an Israeli company - TechnoTransfer - to dig a gutter (about 800 meters long) from St Joseph''s Catholic Church area down to the nearby valley;

but no sooner had Ikwechegh left office than the job was mysteriously cancelled.
Thereafter, Imo state started having governors constrained to see that the state capital must be a mega city before any other place in Imo state is paid commensurate attention.

Yes, I am always objective in my analysis. I can never turn a blind eye to the infrastructural revolution he has brought to the state. so, you don't mistake me for one of those Imolites with bring-his-government-down syndrome.

With your comment, someone can pass you for a PDP minion. It will be easy for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle than Imo PDP to win Imo gubernatorial election.

Imolites are likely to settle for APGA than APC or PDP
Infrastructural revolution Rochas has brought to your darling city Owerri. Because your poor education tells you that a state capital is supposed to be developed by government to another century of modernity ahead of every other part of the state.

Abi, those worshippers at St Joseph's Church at the center of Orlu, and others living in the muddy/dusty streets of Orlu, shall troop out to vote for Rochas daughter to continue with developing Owerri to become a Mega City, while rest of Imo state decays?

Or others from other parts of Imo state outside Owerri who have for long been abandoned by Rochas government shall do your wish to return Rochas for Third term?

Well, you said talk about Orlu is nonsense talk.

You have no knowledge of voting statistics in Imo state, so continue to build your hope of Rochas succeeding himself in quick sand.

Buhari said Abacha was not corrupt even though Abacha's loots were being repatriated to Nigeria then.

Even if a Fulani steals a year's budget of Nigeria, Fulani do not see it as corruption, Fulani see it as collecting war booty.

Foreigners who milk Nigeria's oil wealth are more comfortable with a far-northerner in power in Nigeria.

.In this latest fight abroad to muscle opposition in Nigeria, Fulani ever leans on the colonial master in order for Fulani control of Nigeria continues.

Without the colonial master, how on earth can cattle-rearing Fulani control Nigeria?

There is no common pipe borne water and electricity since Nigeria entered under Fulani control .

Lajet:
The Imo State Deputy Governor, Eze Madumere, on Wednesday rejected the offer of a senatorial seat made to him by Governor Rochas Okorocha.

The governor had on Monday declared interest to run for the Imo West Senatorial seat. He also hinted that he would ask his deputy to jettison his governorship ambition and contest for the Imo East Senatorial election which will pave the way for Mr. Okorocha’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, to emerge candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor had earlier endorsed Mr. Nwosu, who is married to his first daughter, Uloma, as the next governor of the state.

“If Uche Nwosu will be home for governor, I will tell the deputy governor to go to the Senate,” Mr. Okorocha had said.

But Mr. Madumere, who is from Owerri zone, which has not produced a governor since the return to democracy in 1999, rejected the offer in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Uche Onwuchekwa.

According to the statement, Mr. Madumere restated his resolve to contest for the office of the governor in 2019.

He said it is not just about his ambition but about the entire Owerri zone which, he said, has been side-lined and marginalised.

“God’s given vision to better the lot of Imo people is in no man’s hands.”

He described the Senate position offered to him by Mr. Okorocha as an act of betrayal, adding that “If Jesus Christ could be ill-treated by those he called his friends and was later betrayed by Judas, how much more a mere mortal like me.”

He lamented that he has been “molested, betrayed and insulted” by those he nurtured to “become relevant in life.”

DG Madumere told Vanguard News: "Gov. Okorocha did 75% of his development projects in Owerri zone."

Gov. Okorocha started to fall out with DG Madumere about a year ago after Madumere granted interview to Vanguard News where he praised Okorocha as a non-clannish governor who comes from Orlu zone, but did 75% of his development projects in Owerri zone.

Okorocha who is fighting an undeclared war against his Orlu zone took offense at Madumere's tactical error of revealing that a state governor was doing a whooping 75% of his projects in the state capital alone

Okorocha family has myriad businesses all over Owerri. To make Owerri expand and attract much of Imo population to come to live in Owerri to patronize the family's businesses is his grand plan.

Good question. Good observation.

If a Catholic Bishop from Owerri zone would plead with Rochas to save the Catholic Church in Orlu by completing the drainage work in question;

yet the gutter is not completed nearly four years after the plea was made,

instead Rochas embarks on new and bigger drainage systems, broader streets, flyovers, inland roads, underground car park, in Owerri,

that should give you an idea about Rochas' relationship with Orlu.

I am not from Owerri.

It's only a most parochial fellow who would regard the issue I raised above as "Orlu senseless talk," or disgusting.
Your problem with Okorocha and uncompleted projects scattered around "Imo state" must have been all about projects scattered in Owerri.

Because under Okorocha government, the name Imo state has been made by most parochial people to mean Owerri.

Rochas lacks administrative skills. What's the purpose of the so-called underground car park when he has ongoing projects scattered across Imo State?

If the opposition wins in 2019, Imo State will undoubtedly be home to the highest number of abandoned projects in Nigeria!
Multi-storey car park in Owerri while nearly 1/3 of Orlu urban centre is at risk of going under by incessant floods due to the non-completion of a less than 800 meters drainage gutter starting from St Joseph's Catholic Church at the centre of Orlu to Ogidi valley.

St Joseph Catholic Church and many multi-storey buildings are already under sea level, waiting for possible calamity to strike.

Even the Catholic Bishop of Owerri diocese has pleaded with Okorocha to save this Church.

If Okorocha does this gutter alone, and leave the dilapidated internal roads of Orlu, fine.

This lga gave Okorocha the highest number of votes in 2011.

Don't tell Abagworo and his Owerri people this TRUTH that their darling gov. Okorocha is rated the worst governor in the southeast.

Okorocha and Owerri are the only group in Nigeria with the crooked policy that other towns in a state must wait until the state capital is developed to the level of Dubai.

Tufiakwa, what a politician - Okorocha could not understand a simple thing that the more he concentrates nearly all his development projects on state capital, the more other parts of the state degenerate - geometrical proportions.

This is what Okorocha did for seven years in Imo state.

Rest of Imo state outside Owerri decayed; people angry. But because Okorocha family has all their businesses in Imo state in Owerri, Okorocha adamantly ignored the cries of people outside Owerri, as he continues till today to deposit nearly all his government's development projects in Owerri.

Owerri people back Okorocha with the statement: because Owerri is State Capital.

Okorocha merits the award of worst governor in the southeast.

UzuegbuProsper:
GOVERNMENT OF IMO STATE
PRESS RELEASE

SUBJECT: WHY I AM OPTING TO RUN FOR SENATE – GOV. ROCHAS OKOROCHA

- SAYS HIS CANDIDATURE WILL HELP THE APC & ITS CANDIDATES GREATLY IN THE STATE & BEYOND

Governor Rochas Okorocha has given reasons for opting to contest the 2019 election for Imo West Senatorial Seat, stating that his name being listed as one of the Contestants would be of great help to both the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a Party and the Candidates of the Party both in the State and beyond.

Governor Okorocha had given indication that he might run for Imo West Senatorial Seat on Monday, February 26, 2018, while addressing officials and leaders of APC from Ohaji/Egbema Local Government who had come to inform him of their endorsement of Chief Uche Nwosu for the governorship of the State in 2019, making it a total of 13 Local Governments that have endorsed the youthful Chief of Staff.

The governor said, “for myself, I don’t intend to contest any other position for now, but I am seriously eyeing the Presidency once President Muhammadu Buhari is through with his tenure. But if I decide to sit back and watch how things unfold, wolves will come and scatter the sheep for which I am the shepherd”.

He continued “So, if I don’t give a shot at the Senate, evil men will hijack it. Therefore I am thinking of doing something about Orlu Senatorial Seat. I say this because if my name appears in the list of Contestants in the 2019 elections it will help President Buhari, and APC in particular and of course other Candidates in the State”.

The governor added “But the best you can do for me is to go out there and register enmasse. We must go back to the drawing Board, and encourage our sons and daughters to go and register. The Political War has started. You have to be cautious because robbers, killers and other forms of characters and deceptions would surface but don’t caught in their webs”.

His words “This is my 7 years in office as governor of Imo State. Infact, it is less than a year. But if I leave this office and be less concerned, the light of Progress we have put on may depart. We need to sustain the developmental strides in Imo State and if we can sustain it in the next ten years, Imo will be like London”.

He continued “I would not support the person who will allow the restiveness in Ohaji/Egbema area to resurface, but I will support someone that will sustain the peace already attained in the area. I want someone who will continue with free and qualitative education the government has brought to bear so as to continue to relieve parents of the burden of payment of School fees”.

He further intoned “I would also prefer somebody that is humble, peace-loving, people-friendly and without questionable character. You are the 13th group to endorse Uche Nwosu. But actually, there are three of my Political Children very close to my heart. May be I will ask my Deputy to go for Senate while Chike Okafor will go for Federal House. If we have this team in Imo State, it will be of great help.

“So, I would appreciate a kind-hearted person, a peace-loving person, a people-friendly person and a person that can stoop low to the problems of the needy. That is the kind of person I want as a successor”, he added.

Nigeria can never stabilize until devolution of powers to the regions/states, until the present 36 states and Abuja political structure created by northern Nigeria's soldiers are changed democratically.
