I Would have adopted Journalistic style of writing in putting this write up in place accurately and concisely, but decided to write it in form of an article for easy readership by the general public.

Just got this photos early this morning trending on social media (Facebook) as shared by a close friend to the deceased who pleaded anonymity.

This photos clearly expressed a mutilated friend of hers known as Happiness, an ND1 student of Delta state Polytechnic Ozoro, studying Science and Laboratory Technology, SLT who reportedly died about two weeks ago after her exit from her hostel in ozoro to visit a friend at Oleh in Isoko south local government area.

Reports has it that after spending some couple of days on her visitation, some of her concerned friends and hostel mates tried calling to know how she was faring, but unfortunately all efforts to reach her proved abortive as her numbers were all off not until an information came in that she has been reportedly killed and her body which was found mutilated by suspected and purported ritualists was discovered in a bush at Owhelogbo in Isoko North local government area, Delta state.

According to reports, before her painful demise she celebrated her birthday on January 24, 2018.

We hope and pray that the perpetrators of this dastardly and horrendous act would be brought to justice by the security agencies.

May her gentle soul rest in Peace. Amen.

A Nigerian man named Fakorede Sola, has taken to Facebook to lament his loss after his farm was set on fire by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Ekiti state. According to the distraught man, he invested his live savings on the farm because of the passion he has for farming before it was set on fire by the herdsmen because they were warned to stop their activities on the farm.

Read what he shared online;

Four Years ago, I went back to to the farm.Invested my life savings and borrowed more money from friends. Took bank loan. Considering the future and invested in my passion. Got labour from locals and also employed few from Benin Republic.

Planted over 4,000 stands of palm tree; over 2,000 stands of plantain; over 500 stands of cashew and about 300 stands of Cocoa.

I was always excited traveling to Ekiti twice a month from my base in Lagos to monitor the progress of my passion and investment.

Unfortunately, my hope was dashed this morning when I got the call that Fulani Herdsmen set my farm ablaze last night. Just because they were warned by my workers to stop their activities on the farm.

Is this how we will continue?

The one thing the El-Rufai restructuring committee quickly ruled out was creation of new states which could have gone to balance the present lopsided distribution of states between the south and northern regions. Fulani derive undue political over-representation from the twenty states proliferated all over former northern region.

The committee cunningly recommended merger of states, as if it did not know that no states will ever agree to merge.

Let Fulani continue with its tricks until Nigeria collapses upon their heads.

AfraTales:
The South-Africa chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Monday, said it was optimistic that the party would win the 2019 general elections in Nigeria.

Mr Abbey Oguntuase, Interim Chairman of the party in that country, told Newsmen in Pretoria, South Africa, that the party had become stronger in spite the defection of some members.

He, however, called on the leadership of the party to remain focused and initiate programmes to make it stronger.

“We do not believe that the defection of the former vice president will affect the fortunes of the party.

“We think that the party is stronger and ready for the elections,” he said.

Oguntuase also urged the leadership of the APC not to be distracted by the opposition, saying the party would still form the national government in 2019.

“President Buhari remains our candidate and I do not see any candidate from the North beating him.

“If you want to test the popularity of Mr President, check out the crowd that welcomed him in Kano State two weeks ago,” he said.

Oguntuase also said that the Federal Government`s war against corruption was on course with the recovery of more than $2.8 billion by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

“I think it is in our interest as a country to support the Federal Government to win the war against corruption. We stand to reap the benefit,” he said.

Having said that, i give Rochas MAXIMUM credit for his efforts at developing Owerri. If Other SE governors developed a major city in their state by opening up many well planned estates to foster planned development. Then SE cities would soo begin to attract foreigners who would invest and live comfortably in the SE with all the amenities of a planned city available in living in Abuja.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUjWuxA1l6U

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVPBYZxQx38
Your talk about Housing Estate and City development.

A massive Housing Estate was completed by former governor of Imo state, Udenwa in Orlu to house staff of the nearby Imo State University Teaching Hospital, Orlu.

What happened thereafter?

A most parochial group in Imo state which does not consider worthy any development project in Imo state established outside Owerri, ensured that both the Housing estate and the Teaching Hospital at Orlu are not worthy to flourish. But only a FOOL would refuse to accept the fact that even if a hospital is located in a cave, so long the hospital is well managed by its proprietor, patients must troop to the hospital from anywhere in the world in search for cure.

The University Teaching Hospital boomed at Orlu, progressed and was at one time officially classified as one of the first ten best teaching hospitals in Nigeria.

Then enter Ohakim Ikedi as governor of Imo state.
The most parochial group instigated Ohakim to frustrate the Teaching Hospital at Orlu so that it shall become dysfunctional, to enable government to have reason to declare it non-viable in Orlu, and relocate the hospital to STATE CAPITAL.

Ohakim started to deny the Teaching Hospital the required attention and funds. At one budget approval session of Imo State House of Assembly, there was little or no provision by Ohakim executive arm of government for the Teaching Hospital. Then Speaker of the House, Goodluck Opiah, insisted that until Ohakim executive provided funds for the hospital, the budget could not be approved.

Ohakim even opened a mini teaching hospital in his senatorial district then.

Enter Rochas Okorocha as governor of Imo state. Okorocha resuscitated the then crumbling teaching hospital, provided for accreditation of expired accreditation, made the delayed medical students graduate.

The hospital started again to boom and became an income-generating hospital to the government.

But the dirty campaign by the most parochial group who sees that every development project in Imo state must be in Owerri State capital, did not stop.

Shortly after, Okorocha threw the kite that Imo State University, Owerri, would be relocated from Owerri to Ideato. Owerri petitioned nearly God to stop the purported move to remove Imo state University from Owerri.
In 2015, Owerri politician, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, told visiting President Jonathan on re-election campaign in Imo state, that Imo State shall vote Jonathan if Jonathan converted the Federal Medical Center, Owerri, to a University Teaching Hospital, as well as convert the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education to a full University. Jonathan went back to Abuja and announced the conversion of Alvan to a full university, but did not grant the other request to convert FMC Owerri to a Teaching Hospital, perhaps, he understood that there was already a University Teaching Hospital in Imo state that was yet to be fully harnessed.

Alas, Okorocha announced that he was no longer relocating Imo State University Owerri to his home local government area of Ideato South. Instead, he started to build another complex for a now Eastern Palm University in Ideato which he said is jointly owned by a Private Investor and Imo state government - PPI. Okorocha told the National Universities Commission last year that "Eastern Palm University is my 12 years dream come true."

A plan was hatched when Eastern Palm university started to be built. Okorocha then started to frustrate Imo state University Teaching Hospital, Orlu, in order to make Owerri look the other way if the University Teaching Hospital is relocated from Orlu to Owerri, when Okorocha shall tell Imo state that the remaining shares of Imo state government in Eastern Palm University has been sold to a private organization - Rochas Foundation, undoubtedly.

Since the plan was hatched in 2012,, Okorocha refused to repair the 1km only road leading to the Teaching Hospital in Orlu, despite numerous pleas by students and stake holders; at some points, the students protested openly in Orlu and Owerri for the road to be resurfaced, but to no avail. They reminded Okorocha his earlier promise to dualize the road to the Teaching Hospital.

The government of Okorocha then started to owe arrears of salary to doctors and nurses at the Teaching Hospital to frustrate them to leave the hospital.

The government refused to provide accreditation of some medical courses.

Agents of the governor at the hospital denied supply of diesel to hospital Lister generating sets whenever public power supply went off.
As the years of Okorocha government rolled by, only the most impoverished would contemplate visiting the Imo State University Teaching Hospital for cure. Lots of expensive but yet to be mounted medical equipment at the Teaching Hospital were abandoned by Okorocha government to rot away.

Non-Viable at Orlu forced upon the Teaching Hospital.
In 2016, Okorocha told local Chiefs from Orlu area under his government's payroll that Imo State University Teaching Hospital was not viable in Orlu, and had to be relocated to Owerri. The local Chiefs, of course, could not argue with their pay master.

Late October 2016, Okorocha government set up a committee headed by the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Acho Ihim, to examine, according to him, "how Imo State University Teaching Hospital can be relocated from Orlu to Owerri to be more useful to our people."

Unfolding realities since the committee are that if Okorocha goes ahead with his self-centred intention to render the State University Teaching Hospital Orlu dysfunctional, his Eastern Palm University is most likely to be rendered dysfunctional.

Which turnout from Orlu zone?

Orlu zone is rather training anti-election rigging squads to stop any body associated with Okorocha succeeding Okorocha as governor of Imo state.

Orlu gave Okorocha the highest support and number of votes in 2011. The early 30,000+ votes at first ballot for Okorocha in Orlu urban lga made Okorocha qualify better for Supplementary election, after Ohakim miraculously collected huge and questionable number of votes in the six lgas of Okigwe zone. Orlu made Okorocha governor, but Okorocha pitted himself in a deep warfare against Orlu. He expanded about 5km total of existing urban roads in Orlu, destroyed ten times more and abandoned them since 2012, nothing more.
Okorocha even destroyed the only project of Imo state government in Orlu zone - IMSUTH Orlu, because he wants to trade it off with Owerri to have a way for Owerri not question how he owns a private university in his Ideato hometown.

Are many people from Owerri zone alright? Owerri zone must not ask to be left to produce governor on the basis of Equity.

Owerri zone contains all five universities and polytechnics in Imo state in or nearest Owerri - and covets more.

Owerri zone has all federal Housing Estates to Imo state.

Owerri zone contains all major police and military barracks in Imo state.

Owerri zone contains all federal and state ministries and parsstatals in Imo state.

Owerri zone instigated Ohakim and now Rochas Okorocha to suffocate Imo State University teaching hospital Orlu, so that it shall look as if the teaching hospital is not viable in Orlu, therefore fit to be relocated to state capital, Owerri. Ohakim could not succeed in doing that because of the political implications. Now Owerri zone found a willing accomplice in Okorocha to finish IMSUTH, relocate IMSUTH to Owerri, as Okorocha wants Owerri to look the other way after relocating IMSUTH to Owerri, when Okorocha shall tell Imo state that the remaining government shares in Okorocha's Eastern Palm University in his hometown in Ideato has been sold to a private organization - Rochas Foundation, of course.

Since the plan was hatched in 2012, Okorocha refused to repair the only road to IMSUTH, withheld health workers salaries for months to frustrate them to leave IMDUTH, Okorocha's agents in IMSUTH refused to supply diesel to IMSUTH gens when public power supply goes off. Okorocha refused to provide for accreditation of some IMSUTH courses, today, IMSUTH is reduced to a School of Nursing. But Okorocha builds large boulevards for streets all over Owerri.

Why do Owerri believe that every important development project in Imo state must be in Owerri?

Not supporting Okorocha's bid to replace himself with his son-inlaw, but Owerri do not have to cite Equity to enable Owerri provide next Imo state governor, because Owerri does not respect the principles of Equity in Imo state development process.

A town without running water is not worth the name: City.

Owelle shall build you a Centenary Tower in Owerri which has no common pipe borne water.

Soon you shall request that Owelle builds Underground Metro Transport System in Owerri that has no common running water. Private boreholes do not go for water supply in a true city.

Owelle has built flyovers which Owerri drummed for years, as Owerri erroneously believes that flyover makes a town be counted as having arrived in the league of cities.

As you make all these requests for useless projects in Owerri, rest of Imo state outside Owerri have no common roads to move commerce.

Owerri profits from a governor obsessed with the term: state capital; a governor who now sees state capital as a place to use the state's capital development funds to develop - far ahead of rest of the state. Profiteering through ignorance.

There is no moral or constitutional provision anywhere that a state capital must be developed by government more than any other city in a state. State capital is just the seat of government of the day in a state.

See pictures below on how Rochas can give the place a proper finishing with flowers and trees to make it "spectacular" if he wants to.
Amazing indeed.

For EVEN DEVELOPMENT OF NIGERIA'S SPACE, the country was divided into states, further divided into senatorial zones, local government areas and wards.

Local government areas get their allocations from the federal government to carry out development projects they can.

In Imo state, crooks are okay with having a state governor collect the local government allocations to build in the state capital, scratch here and there in a few local government areas, and keep the local government areas in most pitiable sordid state.

A trip today to the local government areas of Imo state outside Owerri Municipal must show dilapidation and stagnant infrastructures built by former Imo state governors.

The crooks' only answer to the ongoing fraud is: "because Owerri is State Capital." The people from the state capital are okay with the arrangement. No fuss from outside Owerri.

Once Owerri is provided by Okorocha govt with its fancy development infrastructures, the crooks go to the roof tops and crow: Imo state is becoming a giant city, they put the name Imo state, in the place of Owerri.

I think posterity will be kind to Rochas. He definitely achieved more than all his predecessors except Dee Sam Mbakwe.
Is a state governor who builds up only one city in his state to be a million years ahead of the state not either daft or fraudulent?
It's all fraud: use a tiny fraction of what should provide for development of 27 lgas to build fancy things in the state capital, where is the money to have been used in providing infrastructures for the rest of the 26 lgas?

Less than 10% of Imo population live in Owerri. The once developing towns of Orlu Oguta, and Okigwe are rotting, shrinking; worse, development projects established by former governors in Orlu are either destroyed or left to rot by Okorocha.

It's like a president of Nigeria devoting to building Abuja to become a first class city, while Owerri, Lagos, Ibadan, Kano, etc cities in Nigeria remain stagnant or deteriorate.
That's what is going on in Imo state under Okorocha whose policy amounts to empowering Owerri economically but impoverishing close to 90% of Imo state in Orlu and Okigwe senatorial districts - another form of Apartheid policy.

Ooh please.. That's was not the reason.
Rochas.had ill thought out ideas of concurrent development of the whole state.
His schools and hospital projects were spread across every local government.however suddenly he changed gear and focused solely on Owerri as it appears.
Why?

Crash in oil price.

Oil crashed by half. So state allocations fell by half .

If imo state received 2billion a month previously, after salaries and loan repayments the state might have 1b left for development . However with the oil price halved, imo state allocation halved to N1Billion.
Imo state and many other state found they could no longer pay salaries or loan commitments, contractors etc.

Hence with the little money Rochas squeezed out from non-payment of salaries to our poor teachers and state workers , he decided focusing on only in Owerri will better highlight his effort.

It's like a man who has only one gallon of paint to paint a house., would you advise him to embark on an attempt to paint the full house with that one gallon or focus on one room- the main living room?

trying to rub and shine the whole house. That will make a mess of the house. Best to focus on one room- the living room and paint it proper.
It is politically incorrect, in fact, borders on defrauding rest of the state, if for lack of funds, a state government concentrates most of the little it earns to providing infrastructure only in the state capital.

There is no clause in Nigeria's constitution stating that a state capital is privileged to have more government development infrastructures than rest of the state.

If checks and balances work well in a govt, and elections are won based on good performance in office, a governor who for any reason uses most of the state's Capital Development Budget on provision of development infrastructures solely for the state capital, may face revolt from the legislative wing of the government, because the legislators are accountable to their respective local government areas, not to the indigenous people of the state capital.

"Build us a Befitting State Capital in Owerri to be like Dubai in Africa, future governors may start to look into developing Orlu and Okigwe areas ." This was a proposal from a most disingenuous group in Imo state to Gov. Okorocha around 2013. He swallowed the proposal hook, line and sinker.

Paucity of funds could not have made a governor of a state abandon rest of his state, including vital road projects he started earlier, but retires to the state capital to build eight lane streets, flyovers, tunnels, Inland roads, bye pass roads, demolish markets and build new ones, etc, etc, all in the state capital.

Simply put, Imo state couldn't have degenerated to this level, if Owerri and its petition writers allowed Okorocha to govern the whole of Imo state.

When Okorocha set out to extend urban development to Orlu and Okigwe in 2012, Owerri journalists and petition writers called Okorocha "a Clown in Douglas House, Owerri."

Grossly intimidated, Okorocha succumbed to intimidation and abandoned the urban development projects he started in Orlu and Okigwe areas, and retired to Owerri where he he built ten lane streets, flyovers, tunnels, five Inland roads, bye pass roads, markets, airport, and many other urban expansion projects. Nothing outside Owerri. But Owerri indegenes clapped "Owelle Mere Yaa." Rest of Imo dilapidated.

Last month, Owerri traditional rulers adopted Okorocha's son-inlaw who doubles as his CoS as Owerri son, because Owerri says it's Owerri turn in 2019 to present governor.

Okorocha govt policy is that Owerri capital city must be developed by government to the level of Dubai before any government can pay development attention to Orlu and Okigwe zones of Imo state.

Today, Orlu and Okigwe are in decay.

Every development establishment in Imo state, including five federal and state universities and polytechnics are in or nearest Owerri, all federal housing estates for Imo state were built in Owerri, all major military and police establishments are for Owerri;
worse, some Owerri people still instigate Okorocha to close minor govt establishments outside Owerri, like teaching hospital and schools to relocate them to Owerri.

Imo state capital has now developed into two big Owerri cities - old and new Owerri, while rest of the state remain villages without any modern infrastructure.

People commenting here may hope that Okorocha and his group can read them, and perhaps change their ways. That's forlorn.

Okorocha doesn't care a hoot what his critics say.

So long as he builds whatever he likes in his capital city, that's all.

He even closes what his predecessors spent billions of Naira to establish outside his capital city, with intention to transfer the establishments to dream mega capital.

Looks like there is a Nobel prize for the worst governor in Nigeria, Rochas is leading the pack.
That's a good prize for Okorocha, a state governor that progressively forgets that his state extends beyond the state capital,

and say whatever you want to say to draw his attention to the other parts of the state he abandoned to decay, you are wasting your time.

Crude oil patriot, never Nigerian patriot.

Your APC you now lament over having Gov Okorocha as member was responsible for Okorocha coming back for second term.

Use and throw way people: did Okorocha not help in funding your Baba Buhari's presidential campaign?

Have you stopped telling us that Okorocha is the most detrabilized Igbo most fit to be voted Igbo president of Nigeria?
All of you AP-Cheats are jokers.

I can spot AGIP - (Any Government In Power) in Imo state (Iwuanyanwu). The man who believes that no city shall rise in Imo state - except Owerri. He finds Okorocha a willing tool, and they have worked to achieve that only Owerri is the city of Imo state.

Please can some one tell Mr. Lallong that however provocative it was for him, calls for dissolution of Nigeria, or a group or groups unilaterally declaring secession from Nigeria, shall be higher very soon, if Nigeria is not politically restructured soon.

It's most disgusting to see some one from the Middle belt of Nigeria whose people are supposed to benefit more from a restructured Nigeria talking the way this Lallong spoke here. Fulani cattle rearers cannot continue with their exploits in Lalung's plateu in a politically restructured Nigeria.

The political structure obstructs development in the south. Who gave Lalong the power to insist that northern Nigeria must continue to hide under the governance system to dictate the pace of development in the south for much longer?

Ever since they lost that war in 1970 their lives have not been the same. Their self esteem was taken away and replaced with serious inferiority complex. It is why they are so loud. Don't take their brash nature for pride or self confidence. No. Research has shown that being loud and chest beating are signs of inferiority complex. But to be honest, I do pity them. They have gone through a lot and continue to carry their past along like the heavy burden it is. But we can't save them, we can only help them by allowing them space to thrive in our land since we are taught by our fathers and mother's that the sky is big enough for birds to fly without colliding. Don't mind the silly ones here on naira land, tomorrow they will still greet their Yoruba neighbours, Ekaro Sir...Ekaro Ma. I really do feel sorry for them.
And you stake every blackmail in the books to prevent the easterners leaving you for Biafra. Fulani govt resort to armed forces to stop movement for restoration of Biafra.

The Igbo group you hold so tight, is it the same Igbo you described as pitiable above?

Something serious must be wrong with the reasoning potentials of your lot
