Politics › Re: Crowd Welcomes Buhari To Daura by discusant: 11:43pm On May 19, 2015
Daura crowd welcoming Buhari? Yes. In most of the far north, politics of Nigeria is the main pre-occupation of people. Because the north survives mostly through politics of allocation of proceeds from crude oil.
Politics › Re: Locating Nigeria's Four Topmost Offices In One Area Untenable - Uduaghan by discusant: 8:43pm On May 19, 2015
Last election, SW said it with votes that there is no south of Nigeria as majority of SW electorate voted for a nothern candidate, owing to ethnic considerations.

The north can do anything it wants in Nigeria now unchallenged. SW's statement is that it is better to eat crumbs from the north than have people of old eastern region preside over the economy and political fronts in Nigeria.

For the Uduaghans of Southsouth, power was given to southsouth because Yar Adua died, but SS could not use the power to reform anything for six years. Time came, you consceded power to north, so why tell north what to be done with power. If care is not taken. SS may no longer receive the 13% from derivation.

North is most United up to Benue state, south is most divided, even southsouth is most divided.

SANUSI AND FISCAL FEDERALISM.

I think Sanusi should be liaising with Buhari to convince rest of northern Nigeria's political class that time has come to return Fiscal Federalism to Nigeria.

Dependency on crude oil has not served Nigeria well.

Pls someone should help me ask Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha about the THREE WORLD CLASS HOTELS HE PLEDGED TO BUILD IN IMO STATE WITHIN TWO YEARS IN OFFICE to be located in Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe zones of the state. With my little knowledge, i know that land and materials were moved to site, but don't know what happened after that. or have the projects been completed?
Also, our IMO State university that was located in Orlu, i mean land and buildings in place, has the IMSU management taken over the place?
Hmmmmmmm.............................................. Rtd Gen Buhari, pls observe your bed mates ooooohhhhh

Rochas did not build the hotels his govt earmarked money for in Okigwe and Orlu. From his pattern, he must believe the two places are bush areas.

Your state government under Rochas is radio, it speaks to your people, but the people can not speak back to it. No means for people of Imo to communicate to their emperor governor Roch.

Buhari moved on, has contested four most expensive presidential elections since then.

Yes, a new party is the best way forward for these govs to rid themselves of PDP chairman Mu'azu.

Mu'azu like Buhari are champions of sharia criminal laws. That's why Mu'azu worked for Buhari to become president.

Muazu was one of the earliest governors in the north to adopt unconstitutional sharia criminal codes.

Buhari also charged Muslims to ensure that sharia criminal codes are implemented all over Nigeria - like Mua'zu, like Buhari, two of a sort.

APC campaigners then would allege that PDP leader was an Islamist Sharia man, Muazu - a possible BH sympathizer?

In the just ended UK election, voters voted according to interests of the units that make up UK. Mu'azu worked for Buhari and demonstrated that he belongs where most far northerners belong - APC

MUA'ZU WORKED FOR BUHARI TO BECOME PRESIDENT. MUA'ZU WAS ALL ABOUT POWER BACK TO NORTH. NOW THAT HE HAS WHAT HE WANTED, HE OUGHT TO LEAVE PDP.

MUAZU COULD'NT EVEN CRITICIZE BUHARI DURING THE CAMPAIGN, TALK LESS INSULTING HIM.

MUA'ZU TOLD REPORTERS DURING THE CAMPAIGN THAT HE COULD'NT INSULT BUHARI FOR POLITICS. THAT WAS WHEN APC CHAIRMAN AND OTHERS WERE INSULTING GEJ WITH ALL SORTS OF UNPRINTABLE NAMES.

MUAZU IS NOW WORKING TO BURY PDP.

EVEN GEJ KNEW THAT MUAZU WAS AGAINST HIM DURING THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN. GUESS WHY GEJ CONCEDED DEFEAT QUICKLY AND ADDED THAT HE WAS FEELING LIKE IN A CAGE IN GOVT HOUSE FOR 16 YEARS.

In bold:
Was Jonathan not clueless?

OBJ's Political Reforms Conference observed the too many undue large number of states in the north which draws undue large number of Reps. to north - went for some remedy. The conference ended abruptly because of disagreement over what %age oil areas could get.

Why did Jonathan opt to start a CONFAB very very late?

If near equity in political representation was brought between north and south of Nigeria, fiscal federalism or regional govt system and other necessary political reforms shall be easily obtained in the NASS - in a very short time.

Jonathan went, saw, but could not conquer.

If in six years Jonathan had steered the NASS to restructure the polity, he could have performed better in office, perhaps not lose second term.

For now, there remains 36 states + Abuja political structure with 19 states +Abuja proliferated in the old one region north, but only 17 in once three regions south.

The political structure created a super political class in the far north who must determine any major political event in Nigeria at any turn.

Gowon who started state creation lamented about two ears ago that state creation was eventually hijacked to create a super-political class - in the north, of course.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Is A Disappointment – Ex-militant Leader, Boyloaf by discusant: 3:07pm On May 06, 2015
If in six years Jonathan had steered the NASS to restructure Nigeria's polity so that there shall be near equitable political representation between the north and south of Nigeria.

For now, whatever the north wants in Nigeria happens, because northern soldiers created states and littered states all over the far north, with resulting over-representation of the north in politics.

But Jonathan saw, went, but could not conquer.

Nigeria is not a country of prosti-tutes either. This country is a religious country. The government spends several millions every year sponsoring political pastors and alfas to Israel and Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage. Dressing half nakked on the streets in not our culture and way of life.
If you say you hate prostitutes, you are surreal - more of hypocrisy. Prostitution is the oldest trade in history.

If you want a country where women's body must be covered all over, then you are most intolerant of others' faith and choice. In that case, you must be ready to form an Islamic Republic with sharia north - and leave others who don't want to belong to such a republic alone to form another country.
