Bettybarbie9: Good day people . Please I’m new here . I have a question . I want to migrate to canada via study route . But my major issue is my CGPA i had 2.70 on a 5 point scalein human physiology (2:2) My questions are 1) can I get masters directly (even if it is in unpopular university) 2( how much should I budget for this ? 3) which school should I apply to ? Doubt you will be able to do Masters in Canada but you can do a PGD first with the obvious cost implications... check the CANADA threads |

Igbosmoker: maybe.
It seems it's only doctors, law and IT related courses that's profitable outside nigeria.
I don't want to be carrying a useless degree You already started. The thing they don't seem to emphasis with degrees in Nigeria is the transferable skills that comes with almost all degree courses. After your degree you can easily pivot to IT for example either with a certificate course or full Masters |

LagosismyHome: A low income in UK would be like less that minimum wage so let say 15k pound .... to compare that with naija you have to use naija minimum wage which is 30k naira per month
Can a family of 4 survive with 30k naira a month in naija ? Not to talk of thrive ... was about to point this out too... Perhaps if people use Job roles rather than absolute number So Sales Asistant in Naija Sales Assistant UK or Systems manager vs Systems Manager or equiv |

I forgot about the whiteHart restaurant opposite the post office, i remember ditching them when i got a better offer from Twin Towers in Bexleyheath due to the limited offerings at a high cost at the time. I only remembered K's Spice because I've eaten there before. Will definitely try them out when I can. Nigerian/African restaurant? |

MadBrain: Thank you sir.
I know my people more than you think (may be I'm just stressing the issue).. If I tell them that I want to rent a room for myself in Uyo, they might insist that I keep the money for something else ( add money and set my self up or buy tools after my apprenticeship... ) They think I'm too small to leave alone.. The plan is to pay, settle in then inform them you're in town after like 3 months after starting....if you were to be in uni you will be living alone at 21 but fair enough, you know your own people...before joining up with a firm please find out properly what they offer so you don't become disillusioned few months into it. Good luck |

NCC will surely postpone dead line, there's Covid plus they can't tell us 170million Nigerians have their NIN already.
It's the usual govt strategy, cause a panic, then post pone few days before the deadline- gra-gra, only about 40m people have their NIN so registering 100m in 2 weeks kolework! |

They will monitor my stay within the state and not willing to help if any issue arise, if at all I stay on my own within the state..("He did not want to stay with me, he should face whatever he encounter" will be their chant) Why do you feel they will monitor your stay? These are your relatives, they probably have more important things to deal with...if you have a sure internship there accept it, rent a place and after some few months inform them about your internship and that you're already settled in and comfortable |

Haa thanks, no customs duty etc... flinton: Got when I was in Nigeria though, then it was 10k Current price https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNiK1nr Which I think it's still ok Judging from stuffs I got recently from aliexpress it took 3weeks max to get delivered to me Great!! Delivery on AliExpress takes anywhere between 3 to 6 weeks depending on seller/shipping mode. O I see, thought they were used interchangeably. 3 weeks , that's a lifetime! |

I rarely buy things from sites that don't offer next day delivery e.g Amazon prime, Argos I used to think aliexpress were for people buying in bulk to resell |
