Try this , from the pix u post in disk management the external drive don't have any name assigned to it , so right click on it and select change name , apply another name and check again .
Many thanks, tried that before it did set but was requesting I format the disk as if new. It had only 125mb data instead of 400GB

Unfortunately I only have access to the mac and windows, my work laptop wouldn't accept external drives

Will take it back to the shop

It's greyed out sir. Plus I don't want to format it as it should have data on it already
ComputersRe: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by DisGuy: 12:34pm On Nov 22, 2020
Bit of background, there's an old macbook pro on it's last leg full of data 200GB+, not booting up as usual and when it does it's forever spinning

Took the mac to the shops for a fix and data recovery but they will not fix as it's over 4years old so paid for data recovery plus a 1TB Toshiba

Came back after 2 weeks, connected the Toshiba to my laptop make the usual chime but nothing is showing up

Lagos state will be acting advance and sophisticated...but 98% of the time they will announce road closures a day or 2 before the event and its usually on Twitter or Facebook

In some sane places, they put the notice on the route several weeks ahead!!!

What's the benefit of a marathon during this pandemic

Hello everyone how are you all doing ?
I just want to ask few questions to all the old nairalanders when I mean old i mean from 2006 to 2010.if you login anything above 2010 don't bother to comments cause phone is already rampant then.
My questions are as follows ;

1 . which phone do you use to login then ? what's the name and maker?
2 . Who introduced you to the forum then ? And what do you find interesting about it
3 . For those that don't make use of phone then. how do you login ? Or do you go to café ?
4 . if you're an old member on this forum and you're still active. State some of your reasons for still being active.

2. Found it when researching stable broadband to use for a visit to las gidi. Found so many useful tips and people with first hand experience willing to share and discuss - was the banking boom then so many discussions in career, technology, travel and tourism

3. PC, laptop...was in school then work always had access

4. Still some sane sections more reading than posting now

The security where I stay now is top-notch and where I am building is also excellent. No incidence of petty thieves, talk more of armed rubbers or burglars have been reported. Where I am building now, people have short and see through electric fences, with CCTV. Not gigantic fences. I haven't seen any house in my street without cctv and I intend to do same when the times comes.

I have a feeling they will still install 'bullet proof' doors, no?

Hmm I'm 50/50 with this dude.

Sometimes I find him speaking common sense and sometimes he's chatting kpata! Like serious anger issues

If you watch him too much you might be come distrustful of every single person- work, relationships, family etc etc

He does have some wise cracks though

I think he should split his channel into two one called Angry Naija Brother!!

So the Nigerian High Commission London is closed to the public indefinitely due to the lockdown in England.

This does not make any sense as people are still allowed to work. Moreover, embassy/consular services are still under essential services.
Nigeria always finds a way to make things more complicated than it should be.
Nigeria High Commission and sense.....you're asking for too much...

Still surprised the building didn't get a molotov during the #endsars protest

Jobs/VacanciesRe: ADVICE: I Am Planning To Move Completely From Lagos To Ibadan by DisGuy: 10:37am On Nov 04, 2020
jolay554:
So I graduated from school last November and partly because of the Covid 19 and majorly because of the very slow system of my school, I am yet to be deployed for NYSC.

Recently, I was about to secure a job which pays less than 50k monthly, I would have loved to stick to it and work my NYSC PPA to this same firm but recently, my boss had been playing games with my salary and to top it all, the Lagos traffic has been driving me nuts and the cost of transportation is becoming increasingly heavy.

So now, I'm planning on quitting my job by January, try to work my NYSC to Ibadan and then use the 1 year to look out for job opportunities, I'll like to know if that's a good plan or if there's other suggestions that could be better than this?
You had a job before?
