Romance › Re: Advantages Of Polygamy? by DisGuy: 4:46am On May 23, 2011
it's all relative, considering most Nigerian hate, envy each other it not very surprising everyone thinks some one wants to kill them (who wants to poison a jobless lay about anyway?) grin
These sort of people even in monogamous home thinks their sister in law, brother in law or their co-workers wants to poison them, in fact these set of people are more likely to visit the pastor/imam, baba dibia to 'kill their enemy' grin

I wonder if anorld Schwarzenegger's maid was trying to kill the real madam when they were getting their grove on

Some people are actually in polygamous relationship without know it, their hard working husbanding is always eager to go for holidays in Nigeria and send home some nice kits for 'that' his sister wink

I have seen some 'happy' polygamous homes.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Gives NNPC 24 Month Ultimatum To Fix Refineries by DisGuy: 3:30am On May 23, 2011
to as a matter of national priority carry out a comprehensive rehabilitation of the three refineries within the next 24 months.
These damn refineries are in constant state of rehabilitation or the contracts are going for the boys

The presidential directive which is now to form the Federal Government’s 24 months target for the major rehabilitation of the three public enterprises, the first of its kind since the construction of the refineries, is to ensure maximum efficiency and installed capacity utilisation, when completed.
Lies

According to Vanguard findings, when completed, the Federal Government is expected to save annual revenue of about N1.3 trillion currently spent on petroleum products importation and the associated subsidy, which has become a major cesspool for oil cartels in the country.
more lies, the total capacity isn't still enough to meet national demand

Politics › Re: Aviation Fuel - Rising Cost Amid Unavailability by DisGuy: 2:10am On May 23, 2011
Jonathan and the 40 Cabals . . . .
There are, therefore, two ways for the government to lower the cost of acquiring this scare commodity: government can equally subsidise imported Jet A1 like, it does for petrol. The second option is to initiate the production of Jet A1. In my opinion, it is easier to do the first and graduate into the second, which holds a more lasting solution.

If neither of the above is acceptable to the authorities, the easiest way to alleviate the financial burden of the airlines is to completely deregulate the market for each carrier to charge any fare of their choice.
who is this dude? Easier to spend our foreign reserve subsiding a product that isn't necessarily serving the majority which will most likely end in the pocket of the another cabal knowing how inefficient the system is

Does the current refinery require extra technology to produce A1? I thought these are by-products of crude oil, with all the Turn Around Maintenance of the Refineries when will they ever function at above average capacity?

If the airlines charge anyhow i will invest in ABC transport sharpish!

Going by what the Iweta man said, it seems Jonathan and his team selfishly allowed the cement importer/manufacturer run their smaller competitors out especially the importers in return for hefty contributions to his campaign funds. godfearing humble man indeed! putrid air!
Politics › Re: Cement Decrease Very Difficult - Dangote by DisGuy: 5:36pm On May 22, 2011
http://tribune.com.ng/sun/index.php/front-page-articles/3967-cement-shouldt-cost-more-than-n700-manufacturer-exposes-cabal-behind-price-hike

A cement manufacturer who is also the chairman, Cement New Entrants Forum, Prince David Iweta, disclosed this to Sunday
Tribune at the weekend, while speaking about the growing concern among the masses over their inability to buy the commodity.

Iweta disclosed that a particular cabal had, last year, hoodwinked the Federal Government into increasing the duty and levy on imported bulk cement from five to 15 per cent and introducing a certain Cement Technology Levy (CTL) of 20 per cent, adding that this caused the total levy on imported bulk cement to 35 per cent.

He said unknown to the Federal Government, the target of this cabal, members of which are major players in the cement industry as well as local manufacturers, was up the price of imported cement and surreptitiously increase that of locally-produced ones too so as to swindle unsuspecting consumers.

“I warned on this outcome when the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, recommended to the President to approve an upward review of duty on imported bulk cement from five per cent to 15 per cent and further introduce Cement Technology Levy (CTL) of 20 per cent; this made the duty and levy to go up to 35 per cent.

“This happened late last year and the effect came up this year. This is supposed to affect imported bulk cement only and not locally manufactured cement. The game plan by the cabal was to enable them to cash in on the increase on imported cement to hike the price of their locally-manufactured cement; to equate it to the cost of imported cement at N1, 700 at the factory gates of local cement manufacturers. “This would also enable them to make abnormal profit to enable them to pay off their bank loans within two to three years as against long-term repayment of capital project funds of 10 to 15 years,” he said.

30 goals? They'd start scoring 30 goals when they start paying them a salary that is comensurate with a 30 goal performance.
I dont think it's about the pay alone, think about it most teams still struggle to score away from home, it's the style of football they play some teams are extremely negative away some even deliberately play for a draw- they are not attack minded and the referees or maybe the coach is to blame.
it's a bit like the super eagles after leading for example 2-0 they start passing the ball around even with 20-30 minutes to play instead pf trying to get more goals

But wait o, how many GK dey play PK for our league? all the highlights i watched, i am yet to see any GK play PK. I just think our local strikers aren't that good with exception to few names, that's why it's easy to spot just one good striker from the whole of the league
be like say rain don they affect you lol, it's just an example, they get someone that has never scored before to take the penalty or freekick, instead of have a specialist so his goal number goes up- look at Frank Lampard and Rooney

The masses hate to see ACN on the ground in the SE/SS but our greedy politicians will try to bring it here.
It's a virus that needs to be checked. Violence and thuggery seems to be embedded in the party.
the only people that hate to see other parties winning an election in their neighbourhood are the political thugs!
The masses voted for Ngige or the majority of them and they voted for this particular member in their constituency

Violence and thuggery as shown in the Imo election were perpetuated by ACN members uh?
or those in Bayelsa were amongst their members?

Travel › Re: In Pictures Fashola Inspects Trains, Facilities For Lagos Light Rail In Canada by DisGuy(mod): 8:56pm On May 21, 2011
“You need a lot of patience,” says Peter Kieran, president and chief executive officer of CPCS. “We almost always get paid, but it’s often several years later. It’s not something a Canadian bank would easily understand.”
This is Africa

This has been highly controversial in places such as Mombasa, the biggest Kenyan port, where hundreds of dock workers have clashed with police in protests against the privatization this year. In Lagos, the transit project (and an accompanying expressway) has required the relocation of thousands of impoverished residents.

But the transit project could make a huge difference to the lives of ordinary Nigerians. The traffic chaos in Lagos is legendary. Commuters routinely wake up at 5 am for three-hour journeys to work, often using a series of different danfos – also known as “flying coffins” – the rickety mini-buses that are notoriously unsafe and reckless. People swap stories of six-hour traffic jams where motorists abandon their vehicles to drink tea at nearby shops.

The Lagos transport authority says the new transit system will be the “elixir” to solve this congestion. It estimates that 1.6 million passengers will ride daily on the first two transit lines when they are completed. The trains will travel at speeds up to 100 kilometres an hour, running at five-minute intervals at peak hours.
