@BlueDiva don't be hard on the league,I'm not Nigerian but do follow u're league, the only thing letting the league down is the pitch, without a proper pitch you wont see the quality of the players and also it doesn't look attractive on TV.If the pitch is good, quality football will be displayed(no one doubt nigerians talent) and fans will come to the stadiums, there will be a buzzz and sponsors will pour money and that's where the glamour comes in.

It start with the right pitch.
True, and they need to sort out their broadcasting and commentators, you'll think you are watchimg mobile camera footage sometimes
Sports › Re: Nigerian League Fan Thread: Enter D Place N Know Every by DisGuy: 3:48am On Mar 28, 2009
Eyinmba Vs Bayelsea sunday

i cant understand why there are no players from the local league in the super eagles team
when Berti vogt stayed put in Europe instead of Nigeria, he was accused of ignoring the local players
now we have a local coach and no glo league player is getting a look in undecided

BlueDiva:
If only they could add some glamour.
Until then, i don't wanna know. sad
true we need something like the IPL, with cheerleaders and and musicians before and after the games cool
i still wonder why most of the players/clubs cant sign a PR manager to get them in the local press, they should appear
in talkshows etc etc and they should ban them from looking scruff!

perhaps his constituency is well lit, well paved, loads of jobs they don't need the money till the next cake sharing session

Have you noticed most of the pictures posted by afam are night pictures, basically trying to cover the tacky sights with the lights

look at the picture of daytime below!!
even Fashola wont allow this eyesore in Lagos!  tongue

Travel › Re: New York Vs London by DisGuy(mod): 5:00am On Mar 27, 2009
Without the tags Afam attached to his pics those tall boring square rectangular glass buildings could pass for anywhere else Tokyo, Los Angeles etc etc But looking at the Pics post by Angie the character/personality of little London shines through not bland and straight building in new york,

Think about it, residents and tourists alike actually spend hours pouring at the architecture and history of building in London unlike New York; where the buildings are all the same, the buildings are so boring they decided to add some fancy lights to it-how sad, even more depressing is the fact that these building are covered bwith tacky adverts-how desperate! just shows they cant make money from tourist so they paint it with tacky adverts of condoms, botox, boob jobs yuck yuck yuck
Programming › Re: Association Of Programmers In Nigeria by DisGuy: 9:11pm On Mar 25, 2009
I agree with AFAM!

now we are collaborating with media houses and NITDA to promote our Plights

it not just a talk of mouth, its reality.
You ideas are cool but what do they promote really? they promote your association as in
you want people to know you guys exist or you guy have products or are capable of producing them

WHY DONT YOU GUYS DEVELOP A SOFTWARE THEN DONATE IT TO A LOCAL SCHOOL OR LOCAL HEALTH CENTRE
YOU CAN ALSO DISPLAY HOW IT WORKS ON TV OR ON YOUTUBE!!

kudos

Ive seen several of your posts
I think the grasscutter business is also very viable
from your articles the budget outlay, staff is always missing though
what are the rough estimates of cost outlay, number of staff required, space etc
Business › Re: Nigerians In Diaspora Starting Business Back Home by DisGuy: 8:46pm On Mar 25, 2009
There are so many N.I.D thinking of starting a business one way or the other (based in nigeria or based abroad)
It just seem its almost impossible to have a business without being there yourself

Perhaps partnership is the way to go, share the brain share the risk!

Medium scale poultry, agriculture, fish farming and co would be profitable with proper planning and loyal employees

Another is rental business, boutiques, shops and resturants

@ poster

Vicjustice has replied you. Paying anyone will only lead to more trouble i.e. fake documentation. The best advice is for the person to return and reapply, or rough it out till 10yrs length of stay and hope the authorities regularize his or her papers.
I think he/she has to be legally resident in the UK for 10 before they can consider that

I have also heard of this EU dependent stuff, immigration lawyers are making a killing in the UK
cost range from £3000-5000, many nigerians have been moving from their base in other EU countries to
take advantage of the free benefits, some require three potentials at a time making upto £15,000
when the deal is over wink

I'm not dissing london, i'm just stating facts.

You're even further insulting london by naming "The London Eye, The Gherkin, Millenium Bridge". Are those the only tourist attractions u have in london?

apart from the the tall lifeless buildings you've been talking about, you haven't listed the tourist attractions yourself tongue
there are tourist attractions all over London everyone knows about them with extremely rich history

Politics › Re: Why Is Tinubu Or His Wife Following Fashola About > by DisGuy: 2:36pm On Mar 25, 2009
The problem with some of our leaders is they cling on to any little success, Tinubu should now be going NATIONAL
instead of hanging on to little Lagos, the AC should be expanding, strategising for elections in the SW,forming coalition with the SS, SE and not hounding one chosen governor everywhere

people claim OBJ will be controlling yaradua when he leaves office, it's Tinubu that is trying to control fashola

Majority of Naija food is just as bad as western food so stop kidding yourself. Your fish and chips, are you aware that it has more calories than a "oversized burger"?

and there's no difference between council flat and projects. All catered to the poor of society. Just cos you guys give it a fancy name, doesnt mean shit

abeg no make I distract you from putting coins in your heater  cheesy
well considering people rarely drive to the corner shop over in London, or call the fire service to get them
out of the bathroom, they can walk off their excess calories stay prim n proper no sagging bottoms like
touts

coins in heater? when did you visit London during the stone age?
make sure you stay indoors as usual guys, you dont want to injure yourself
remember no health insurance wink

I fell in love with this actress late last year i was even wondering why is not in nollywood or some naija soaps
but seeing her this year she's ballooned, seems like she has been to the fattening rooms of calabar, nothing wrong with being thick but when you go from slim to mama with three months then theres a big problem! and im very sure shes didnt put on the weight for any specific role! I also notice shes got double k leg

Because it allows may visitors and new york doesn't.

London is a public toilet for Nigerians, they go there to poo whenever they want.
Wrong, Because it attracts many visitors, who mostly visit more than twice in their within a year!
and why will any 'booming' city reject visitors? undecided
New York only has lights on tall lifeless buildings, with a lot of dumb cab iraqi drivers
