if we have fashola for president do you think things will improve?
what we need is 36 fashola, remember the governors, local government chairmen
are closer to the people they are responsible for most of the things that affect the citizens

btw did he also text you why you didn't get your receipt first time around?
did he fire the dufus at the desk? Fashola is doing a wonderful job but he has to
push every civil servant in the state to be on the same page or else. . .

the thing i dont understand with this 'demarketing' is that why is intercontinental the only bank being targeted and by who?

those naija banks and their funny way of doing business, how exactly is it possible for 80% of staff to be on the street chasing deposits?
how come other countries dont send their staffs on the street looking for deposits?

Politics › Re: Nigeria Should Have And Can Afford A Qualified Igbo President: by DisGuy: 8:50pm On Apr 11, 2009
Yeah. we need wisdom, ideas and strategy and i very much agree. But even if you have those and the system is corrupt, they will still rig you out of Office.; Professor Utomi HAD A GREAT vision for the country but he was rigged to death. Wole Soyinka, a good nationalist and a person who i will support for presidency if he ever ran cannot win even if people like him because special interest will rig him out. So, the system needs changes more than anything but there should also be equity in politics
its unfair
theres a false impression that prof utomi was rigged, he simply want the popular choice, some people think nigeria is just made up of lagos, port harcourt and some few southern states. there are people in Nigeria that dont know who utomi is, forget the fact we see and read about him online every other day.
aside from good electoral laws we actually need people to know what voting is all about, who and what they are voting for

pat utomi might have great vision for the country but what if people dont get to hear of his vision or only people with access to internet and newspapers
what about people in sokoto and nasarawa?

prior to the last election did you know the name of Utomi's party? what is even the name of his party now sef? where are they what is their position in the current climate?
why is he the only one from the party we are hearing about?

pat utomi is a very brilliant commentator by the way, dont know about what he can actually do when he gets there, it takes more that phd to lead the country!
Politics › Re: Nigeria Should Have And Can Afford A Qualified Igbo President: by DisGuy: 8:38pm On Apr 11, 2009
banom:
@ OP,

It makes me crazy when ever i hear the way our people are asking to be giving the chance to produce the president of Nigeria as if it is "pass me i pass you game" Igbos asking to be giving such chance is even a way of injecting tribalism into the game,

The issue is that many igbos are of the false notion that they can't win without the Hausas and that the Hausa will be scared to vote an igbo man because of the Biafran war, But the simple truth is that there will never be any time or any where on this earth that all side of a nation or race or tribe will stay aside and ask one part to produce a ruler, all of us are power hungry, if you want it, you work for it,

All an Igbo man or any one else needs to be become the president of Nigeria are, IDEAS, WISDOM, AND STRATEGY,, Politics is a game and games are not won in number but with right strategy, that was how Abiola won Tofa and Obama won Mc Cain , I advice our people to spend more time devicing the Strategy, Ideas and wisdom they will employ to contest and win and not wasting much of their time demanding to be giving a national unianimous chance to produce the president, ( such a chance is never possible even if we demand for it till thy kingdom come).

To me an Igbo man becoming the president of Nigeria is not as difficult as many sees it, But it cant be easier than that.
God bless you jare!

politics is a game! not something you win by begging or whining about!

Ndipe:
Green technology is the latest buzzword in the American economy with jobs being created out of it. But I am naive about this technology, and feel it's all hype. I can be an ardent of the green technology by simply waving a branch or keeping a pair of potted plants in my bedroom to conserve energy? So, is it all hype or is it here to stay?
wtf? you are not only naive, you are a bit potty too, perharps you've been smoking some of the dried leaves from the plants in your garden grin

green technology is here to stay, they(greenpeace, environmentalist) are constanstly drumming shoving it down our throats how brilliant these new techs are
and considering the cost of oil and quality of life(air) they make sense. the only problem is that they are not applicable to everyting now theyve not been tried and tested over a long period to know their reliability and then the cost!!

i think this should be moved to the poilitics/business section too
