All states controlling their resources and paying stipends to the federal government will be the best not regions. It will bring a healthy competition for development among different states in Nigeria DCatt: That should have been a single thing that solves most of the problem but it seems the protesters either don't know what they want or just don't want the problem of the country solved.
Buhari can stop the madness now and should immediately reverse the suspension of the regional govt and let the 6 geopolitical zones manage their resources and police with 10 % of their revenue to Abuja. And the army must be represented by equal members from each region. These alone will weaken the protests as the people would first go through a shock as they are not expecting that and then will have nothing to protest about. They are now in charge of their lives. Believe me some people will kick against it because that is not what they want, but Buhari should so it anyway. For now I rate Buhari as a little bit better that Jonathan bif he doesn't do this power devolution now or at least announce that he's working on it and give the date he will roll it out, I will start seeing him as the big part of the problem. |

I now remember when Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin of Mercyland told us to pray against civil war in Nigeria iskalamong: This is very bad! This and many other violent acts will justify the use of force by the government! It will also drown the economy which has barely recovered from the corona virus pandemic. Unemployment will also be on the rise. The curfew in Lagos may likely be extended, further causing more economic and political problems! |

Not some Buhari's silence is making majority of we the Southerners angry. Why sit still in silence when your house is burning LosC: And the Soldiers that shot at Lekki peaceful protesters assumed they were hoodlums?
If Army takes over, more peaceful protesters will be gunned down.
Truthfully, this is actually going beyond the reason why the protest began.
The President needs to do address the Nation live. Trust me, once people hear Buhari speak live, everyone will surrender. Buhari's silence is angering some people |

Even financial aid should be given to those who want to go into business online or offline too Acidosis: After this phase, Sanwo-Olu needs to find a way to send at least 20% of youths out of Lagos. He needs to do this by any means possible. May be creating a massive farm village in other states of the country. This is the only way to curb the danger ahead. Lagos is too populated with poor, jobless, and idle miscreants.
Like you did with Kebbi state, collaborate with Kano state government, build a farm village in Kano and send 10,000 Kano indigenes in Lagos back to their state to farm. Initiate the same collaboration with governments of other states: Imo, Kogi, Anambra, Osun, Ebonyi, Delta, Benue, Plateau, Ekiti, etc.
This is the only way forward. Anyone caught on the streets of Lagos without a defined purpose, identity or home should be FORCEFULLY sent to the farm. |

Then what about those because of their ill health that need to buy expensive drugs before food on a monthly basis to survive. It's not easy being a Nigerian o. I don't blame those who commit suicide most times. Life is not easy in Nigeria lincsnuel: The problem is the economy. Many Nigerians are low income earners who cannot afford their basic needs.
If government creates favourable laws and policies which improve the economy, the citizens will establish organizations and industries that will employ the low income earners and increase the standard of living.
By this, the government doesn't necessarily need to create direct jobs. |
