I came across this thread on front page this morning https://www.nairaland.com/6588135/should-follow-mother's-advice where a lady sought advice on the type of man she should consider for marriage due to her uncertainty on an advice she got from her mother.

The thread got a lot of comments and a lot of guys and maybe some ladies lacerated her based on her will to consider a rich man over a struggling one. Though she didn't pass her message well due to her unabashed display of derogatory statements she made pertaining to her mother and her line of thought.

My mind also didn't agree with a lot of people in that thread thus I decided to bring my questions here. Please educate me.

My questions are these;

Was it wrong for her to consider a rich man over a struggling one even when she herself isn't reasonably rich as well? If yes why is it so?

Was her mother's advice sound and was it logical or not?

How often do women who remain with struggling men eventually end up with them later when they turn rich? Do you know any woman like that?

What would a woman be doing precisely if she chooses to struggle alongside a struggling guy?

Should a struggling guy be with a woman in the first place?

Should a woman be compelled to carry the mantle of a provider as well in the home? If she does, is she to still accord total respect and submission to her husband?

Please judge these questions according to your wisdom and give your replies. Thank you.

I and my fiance has been planning to settle down. I am not really earning that much here in ibadan, as a graduate I earn 30k but my fiance earn 40k in the same city. I sold my kidney late last month,it's the only option I had to get of poverty.
Fast forward to a day before yesterday, which was the day I was meant to do giveaway,but towards that evening on Saturday,I discovered that I can't urinate properly, when I want to urinate it comes and go back,like something is pressing it from inside forcefully.
I have contacted the white guy that did the operation,but he laughed and said it's Normal and it will stop,but since then I have been experiencing the same thing.

Good morning guys, please bear with my English & my write up as know body knows finish in this world, there is this issue disturbing my heart and it get me confused till date & I want you guys to help me out with some advice, am in an open relationship with this lady for five years now & she has meat my people and I have meat her people too, but the problem we are having now is that she just tell me that she'll have to finish her HND before we wedd & our wedding suppose commence Next year ending and with the calculation I have made this girl will finish school & service on her 30s, my issue there now is that I don't want to marry a woman so old like that, am not against her going to school but am thinking about my own welfare, it sounds abnormal to me to marry a 30yrs old lady, at least 25-27 years old is okay but 30yrs is a big Number for a woman who just marry.

The greatest achievement of finishing from secondary School is having SSCE.

I finished from secondary school close to two decades ago but then I couldn't sit for final exam (WAEC & NECO) due to financial issue as at that period (The ultimatum given for payment elapsed).

That same year, I registered and sat for Nov/Dec WAEC (GCE) but had flop in Mathematics.


As year goes by after learning skills, I registered and sat for NECO June/July, had my result which I used in processing admission into university after which I graduated.

My concern now is, CAN THIS AFFECT ME AS A CARRIER MAN ESPECIALLY ON POLITICAL PATH?
