Only the igbos want an igbo president, no other tribe wants to associate itself with the igbos, not in politics and not in issues of life. You can't be the president of a country you fought to leave. About endorsing the south south, the igbos are just trying to form an unnecessary liason with the south south and I have not seen or heard any south south elder states man, no matter how gullible they may seem, publicly accept the ndigbo!!!!. Don't endorse anybody biko nu, keep hating other tribes and expect them to like you..."Late General ojukwu did not die in the civil war, he ran way when thousands of igbos died, yet they all blame the Hausas for killing igbos, why din't you people blame ojukwu for taking your children to fight a war they cannot win, yet he himself didn not pick up arms by himself, he ran away, pathetic!!!!!"....
Abeg leave matter, how has other tribes that has held power bettered there people? Have Igbos not been existing and survivimg well against all odds? Shebi oil prices is crashing seriously, wait by the time it reaches $10 that time una eyes go open. Keep on looking for Igbos trouble instead of lookimg to find the solution to a Country that despite having earned revenue of oil in excess of $1trilion since oil discovery and is nothing to write home about. Thats why I dont like coming to this site because most of you commenting are more brainless than even the politicians ruling you guys.

kITATITA:
My brother, we haven't learnt how to play this thing called politics. Both Ohaneze and all notable Igbo were singing 'no one but you' to Abacha as if all of them have coconut water instead of brains. During the June 12 saga, our sons Arthur Nzeribe and Daniel Kanu diminished all the sacrifice made by Ndubuisi Kanu, Chukwuemeka Ezeife and others. Ekwueme was at a time the most respected Nigerian who offered his services at the top. His ambition was partly scuttled by our brother. Obasanjo's government was largely sustained by Igbo technocrats who didn't know how to reach out to their counterparts and attract development to our area. We gave away 95% of our votes to our Otuoke neighbour without negotiating anything. That's why he has given us nothing. We are still poised to dash him 90% non-negotiable votes while others are busy attracting development to their areas. It's because of such lack of opportunities we migrate to other states, pay taxes, build houses and develop those areas. We deserve what we are getting.
Abeg leave all these politics wahala, how has it bettered the lives of those who have been playing it well than the Igbos? The delusion with some of these old political block is that they think that by just getting power all is solved, but they got it wrong. Nigeria has a very wrong foundation and structure which cannot produce anything good. Coupled with the fact that condition of 2015 is not the same as 2007 or 1999, the Country is so much very complex now. By the time you add serious economic recession that is facing this Country from early next year because oil price will completely crash, I am sorry for the trauma the next incoming administration will face. When you take stock of all those in the opposition jostling to take over at the centre, none of them have the pedigree to turn this nation around positively, not even those hyping about high IGR generation because those IGR generated were simply a function of money alreadyly flowing witiin the economy and not a function of foreign currency earned. If they win next year let me see the magic they will do, I will just keep my fingers crossed.

OBJ is the biggest problem that has been bedeviling this nation, and he must get his reward, he wont escape it. He sowed the evil seeds that messed up this present democratic era, and he is not a sincere man. It was only Abacha who does nt respect anybody knew how to handle his type, it was just grace of God that saved him and when he came out from prison he did worst things.
It is those that have nothing meaningful doing that will waste their prescious and valuable time to read something from a dishonest, insincere, vile and wicked man like Obj. But one thing I know is that he will not go unpunished.

whatare you saying here , the sim sale was because we had a govt who wanted to make money from gullibe Nigerians , just like they will be making money from this also and have you bothered to ask yourself why etisalat came to Nigeria years when other operators had gianed strong grounds and still has a better performance compared to GLO. it all balls down to competitiveness .... there is no competition in refining crude if dangote's refinery is the only refinery that has been licensed . it is no beans building a refinery man . why are Nigerians still paying so much to watch programmes on DSTV , there has no been a major competitor , yes you have multi tv , trend tv , ctl .... but can you compare . you can liken this to what you will have in this sector
You are the one that is confused and cant grasp what the dude is saying.
Dangote is not the only licensed refinery, Orient in Anambra has license and govt will still sell off the refineries we have.

With other refineries coming on stream, competition will definitely bring down the price like what happened with the cost of Gsm lines.

As for Dstv you mentioned, they enjoyed monopoly, but Hitv gave them real fight and crashed the price, but the Hitv owner did not manage the business well and in the end lost out.

1. Bros I know you're a GEJ man, but we go skull......pls come down from all these "complications" you've done up there and come specifc
2. You know what? you lost me from your first line "having read what Buhari said........"I dare ask, where did you read it? from NL? if yes then, you started from a false premise
3. The use of the phrase "the average northerner is focused on oil and largess from the govt....." blablabla....you see, this is the reason why you create enmity between you folks and northerners. You come in with baseless assumptions, that are in itself arrogant and self serving. A Northerner ran CBN of late and brought sanity to all the rot the predecessor southerner covered up. A northerner sat as head of BPE and oversaw the successful privatization of many of these industries...
4. Please don't complicate what his basic and try to sell it as complex. There is nothing "dynamics" "global economics" "oil prices" mumbo jumbo you put up there and they mean absolutely nothing. I can understand the lies you Jonathanians tell your folks, Agric Revolution, Automotive Policy and Power Policy...all charade. You're just throwing words around - Dynamic era, dispensation, economy etc

Ps: which dynamics of Jonathan Mumbo-Jumbo, pls tell we which state apart from Lagos is able to survive without monthly oil rent
You go which school, half baked education abi.
Like I earlier stated most of you folks dont even have a basic knowledge of how the economy operates, therefore it will be a mumbo jumbo to you.

When I use the term average Northerner I am very correct with my ascertion, their mindset is all about oil and largesse from the centre. Example they are the ones holding the passage of PIB bill, a well articulated bill which if implemented would have adressed all the problems bedeviling us in the oil industry.

You are mentioning Sanusi but he did nt have much to do because the period he was CBN governor oil was in $100 range, if he was there now only God knows how he would have managed the financial crisis.

You can say what you like but the Agric and Automotive policies are very good and sound economic policies.
When I wrote I stated that GEJ has his faults, but comparing him to Buhari, he is a better alternative, and mind you Atiku's chances of clinching APC ticket is improving by the day, ignore him at your own peril.
Let me state it again peradventure Buhari wins next year elections, Nigerians should get ready for a major economic tsunami because he has got no clue concerning the economy.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Live On Channels TV by djon78(m): 12:56pm On Dec 08, 2014
Having read what Buhari said and the contribution by forunmites. I can categorically state that Buhari does nt have any clue on runing and turning around the economy and most people here dont even have basic grasp of the operations of the economy.
Peradventure if Buhari wins next year, I give Nigeria 1 year her economy will totaly collapse. Reasons being that the average Northerners mindset is solely focused on oil and largese from govt, which can never ever be sustainable again as a result of change in the dynamics of the global economy visavis oilprices and economics. Even GEJ with all his faults has a bit grasp of these dynamics thats why he is impldmenting policies such as Agric revolution, Automotive policy and Power policy.
Like I said if peradventure Buhari wins next year he will face many battles not just economically but the forces that has held Nigeria to the juglar, because they are in every facet of our economy and polity, coupled with the fact that this is democracy not military or dictator, that is why I laugh at those who said that people will be jailed.
Most people dont realise that Nigeria has so much change since the advent of this current democratic dispensation. This Country has moved on in many aspects, and we are entering into more dynamic era in which the sections that has held Nigeria down will be left behind because soon it will no longer be waiting for the monthly largesse from the centre rather every state will have to fend for and sustain itself and survive by its own ingenuity.

So after you as a woman stick to all this rules, then divorce comes up. You become single and searching.
Dont mind them, with all these there gara gara guys are wising up by focusing on much younger women that will respect, obey and be loyal to them. And in addition young, hot and fresher bodies plus ease in conception. Not all these matured and advanced ones that are all set in their ways, though a few of them still have wifey qualities.
Most of them think they can eat their cake and have it, no way. I have noticed another trend where majority of guys now especialy those in their 30s are marryinp 20, 22, 25yrs olds, because they marry a woman they can mold and groom, instead of those ones set in their ways.

Who writes these half baked write up for these politicians. Asiwaju is brining up out dated gold standard and comparing it to what is happening to our currency.
Nigerias problem is that our economy is only oil driven accounting for 75% of foreign currency earning, adding to it, we do not add value to the oil via efficient refining rather we still import refined petroleum of which Asiwajus company OANDO is one of the major importers(culprit) and is all part of the problem.
Most people dont realize that a major war is being waged on our economy presently even worse than bokoharam. Our Stock Exchange was exposed to foreigners who are selling off their shares, crude oil price is falling and Naira has been exposed speculators( big hedge funds and financiers) who are taking a big bet on Naira with $ billions in order to make huge profit. Thats why CBN came out with the policy to devalue Naira to chase away these speculators. If not done, what happened to Asian nations in 1997 financial crisis will be a childs play. Our saving grace are both the finance minister and the CBN Governor, they have responded well with the sound fiscal and monetary policies they have put in place, it is the ignorant and novices who dont have any clue about economy will insult them.

I also like what he said that the best brains of North and South should come together to move Nigeria foward.

So what's your own definition of God fearing people sir? Or maybe you can't comprehend the written English...I can understand... Make comparisons between the both...that's how an intelligent post that claims to correct others should be written.
God fearing man is not about going to church but rather revers the Lord, at the back of his mind is God conscious always and even when he makes mistake, he quickly repents. A God fearing man has a soft heart that has been broken not hard heart, and it is Gods word that break the heart. He easily forgives, does not bear grudges, is not rude and very accomodating.

you have buoyant riches in a world were many are suffering. that is not a God fearing person. you can change many lives with the wealth you are sitting on so why sit on it ? see what i am saying ? you are driving in your benz or jeep driving pass people who are banging on your window to sell you nylon water in the hot sun. does that not break your heart ? will you be God fearing when you see these things but you choose to sit on wealth ? my point being you cant be God fearing and be rich in a society with many poor people. in fact you have to be heavily satanic and demonic to be very rich in a place like nigeria and be comfortable with it. thats a demon lol. its true cheesy
True in what you said about hoarding wealth, but there has to be a balance. Cornelius was a very rich man but he was a giver, and because of the alms which he gave which came up as a memorial b4 God, he became the first gentile to receive salvation. Lydia was a rich woman who traded in purple cloth, she supported Pauls ministry.

God is wealth personified. Do you know the kind of wealth that God put on this earth, look at a nation like Nigeria that has sold oil in the excess of $1trillion, it is just because of the wickedness of man, God never intended for man to suffer.
Yes there are so many false prophets and chartalants now, but what I find wrong with your one sided doctrine is that God does blesses. Do you know how many smart kids that want to get education but cant because of no fund, or girls that go into prostitvion because of no means or young men that go into dubious things because of no other way. Money being in the hands of right men will help alleviate so much pain, but your type of mindset will allow evil men to abound more and cause more havoc.
I went to orphanages and see the kind of needs that is there, I do visit the prison regularly and see the horror prisöners go through, and I see that God realy care 4 them and other suffering people around the world and God is raising up men and women whom he will pour out great wealth on to alleviate the pains of humanity.
Finally when Elijah said he was the only one, God told him the were 5000 who had never bowed down to baal, there are many Godfearing wealthy men who knows the heart beat of God and are using their wealth for righteous cause.

Nigeria is about to face her biggest challenge since its inception as a nation. The onslaught is coming from every front, economy, security, infrastructure decay etc. The stark truth is that there was never Genuine and consensus nation building rather it was pandering to selfish sectional interest of the group holding power at the centre during their tenure. Because of lack of Genuine/Patriotic/ Unselfish nation building, Nigeria has less chance of surviving this onslaught as a united entity.
Infact this is not about calling the President bad names, because the present situation is beyond him or anybody. Even if Buhari or anyother win and takes over, he will be shocked at what he will face. Simply because Nigeria was not built up as a nation with Genuine Love and Unity, and only a Leadership that can address this will save Nigeria, if not, then the die has already been cast.

Ilekokonit:
Actually the rules are meant for you. They are not actually rules they are tips to keeping you man loving towards you if you married or are intending to marry a proper African man.

Look at the list critically, none of it is enslaving in any way. for example what is bad in advicing a lady not to pull her man down in front of his kids especially male ones.

Do you women even know the psyche of a male child huh

But then again i know that a lot of nigeriaqns don't like reading for themselves and they just jump on the bandwagon without scrutinising an article but i9f it were to be a charlartan pastor who publishes a book titled "105 Tips To Keeping A Good African Man", the hordes of spinsters in his church will spend their last kobio to buy the book containing the very same points i pointed on above.

Come to think of it, do you think Oyedepo or Adeboye will put up with 1% of the nonsense that some men put up with from their women huh?? I think not !!!

Why do you think that the Asian and Chinese families abroad are an economic power house that is sending fears down the spine of their oyinbo hosts huh

Its simply because of the unity and lack of combative competitiveness in their marriages which is the hall mark of most Naija women abroad.

This cancer is creeping back home which is why I advise any 20 someting yr old naija lady i meet to grab their copy fast as the time is imminent where young eligible Naija bachelors will shun marriage in droves until they find the right person.

Wait and see and like someone mentioned above, ladies, bookmark this post as it will come in useful to calm the stormy waters of your marriage in future if you are married to a "proper" African man.
Dont mind them, most of them dont know that most guys are wising up. Like I tell them for me Complete Submission and Obedience is non negotiable, there can be only one captain in my home. Am surprised at our guys that still tolerate all those feminist crap, they cant even be around me for even a day because the kind heat I will give them they will run, and mind you I wont beat them cus I dont beat women, but they either shape up or ship out.

I laugh my head off on the type of internet opinion being bandied about by people without finding out what the common man on the street, of which majority are without access to the internet and makes up majority of the voting bloc.
Most of these people making noise will be shocked at how the election will pan out in 2015. Why?
Almost all Nigerian politicians have no ideology and have a price. Most people dont realise that Nigeria as a Country had been sitting on a serious keg of dynamites and the bokoharam debacle worsened it and a little more push, this fuse will be ignited, and if so Nigeria will not survive it this time around. That is why US did their prediction about 2015.
GEJ may have many faults but he honestly has the gentle personality and nature to navigate Nigeria away from these keg of dynamites waiting to blow this nation. Infact God was at work when Obj picked him because this was a kind of a leader Nigeria needed a gentle and good man. Which Past President can be called unprintable name like clueless, dumbo etc and still be calm. He may have areas where he did below par but when it comes to the economy he gets B++. Nigerias Economy has expanded greatly, one of the best policy coming on stream: Automotive policy, which will see vehicle manufacturers produce localy, will impact this nation greatly. Even electricity issues he has handled it well by completing and building old and new power plants, it was just that past administrations located those power plants far from gas source, which will now require building very costly pipes. Is it Agric revolution policy that he championed via the great Agric minister Adesina.
2015 will be a moment of truth for Nigeria if we do the right thing, we will win this infused dynamite and go on to be of global prominence in decades to come, but if we dont and allow this dynamite to explode, it will consume this nation that had the potential to be one of the greatest nation on the earth.
Buhari has absolutely nothing to offer, let the North wait till 2019, by then smart quality young turks like Ribadu, Elruffai will have matured more and be ready including Adesina, Fashola, Iweala etc.

Though I dont like what our political leaders are doing sometimes, but joe igbokwe should just shut his trap up.
Claiming to notice that Igbos have lost political relevance in Nigeria is trash.
Igbos lost political relevance since 1970. We are just survivors as far as Nigeria is concerend. The INJUSTICE of least num of states, LG, senators and allocation he was banding about, was it not successive past govt that ensured such.
Honestly most of us dont give a hoot where the president comes from, rather we seek a president that will ensure justice/equality/ equity among all people of this nation, not one that will favour some sections over others and be claiming the hypocrisy of Unity and One Nigeria, while there actions does not suggest such.

True talk, serious waste of time and money. But what do you expect b4, most of those types of marriage dont last because men end up marrying women who doesnt have even basic quality a wife must possess, which are inner characters like obedience, respect, submission, not sleeping around etc. Many of these types of marriages will scatter because of wrong, faulty foundation.

CultureRe: Igbo In The 1700's by djon78(m): 1:34am On Sep 11, 2014
Everything he wrote about in that book I can relate to it personaly, he was truly an Igbo man. And this event was like 400 years ago. Like concerning burial my Dad told me that his Father who was a highly titeled man was buried in the evening, and that he was buried secretely, it was only the titled men that knew his grave. Also concerning farming that is also true, my Dads elder cousin who is almost in his 80s told me some of his personal experiences and his own fathers experiences just last xmas concerning their attitude to farming and how the evil men in the land sold those they caught to slavery and how almost all of those evil men died in a mysterious and terrible way.
Finaly I got firsthand account from my Dads Mum, she died in 2003 at almost 105. She told me how truth, honesty and justice was the standard before the advent of white man, and that women then were embodiment of virtue.

One Conclusion I have come to realise is that the white man through slave trade, colonialism and its bagagge so much distorted the way of life of the African man. Today the black race are just totaly lost without no direction. For instance I had a breif stay in the Asia Pacific, and I discovered that the Asians be it Chinese, Japanese, Indians, Koreans etc all copied westeren civilisation adapting it to their culture but still completely retained their unique cultures while in Africa we almost threw away our culture and replaced it with white mans own, including the destructive and harmful ones. That is why presently there is complete erosion of traditional good values in our society and it is worst among young people. Growing up as a kid in the 80s, then people were highly responsible, but today even young kids and teens are grossly irresponsible, and it portrays great and scary danger for us as a people in no distant future.

The truth is that bokoharam and other islamic terrorist networks is a worldwide islamic conspiracy to gradually force people to convert to islam.
I am not saying that you should believe me but gradually it will unfold before us.

So people should stop seeing bokoharam as just a problem of today to handicap GEJ, it is beyond that because all Northern moslem elites truely knws what they are doing.

It is beyond political affiliation as both those MOSLIMS in PDP, APC AND OTHER PARTIES ARE CO-SPONSORS OF THE ISLAMIC TERRORIST ORGANISATION.
Most of them dont understand what is realy facing us especialy from the Christian middle belt, down to SE, SS, including Cameroun down to Central Africa. A very big war is seriously looming by Islamic terrorism on the regions I mentioned above and majority of Muslim are inner closet supporters.

That is why I am very angry with most of our people down South, we are just relaxed, going our daily business, hustling and just pursuing money, while these Islamic terrorist are busy everyday undergoing training, getting better.

The King was simply displaying our African culture. It is just that modernity/ western civilisation has influenced and changed a lot of things in our cultures. Most of us are just 2nd generation from polypamy, my Grandpa from my Dads side married 3 wives, while on my Mums side, her Dad married 4 wives. It was just from my Dads generation that it became 1 wife. So the op should leave the King alone.

The truth is that most of you are just big time mediocres, gloating on others while the so called development you bandy about in your enclave is way below international standard.

You can talk whatever you like about Enugu airport, at least for the first time the FG supported the construction of an airport in Igboland. It was done in other region way back by FG, while South East was neglected by past regime, it was only GEJ that did nt neglect it. Meanwhile we are the only people to construct an airport without any govt support in this Country: Owerri Airport.

Talking about 2nd Niger bridge, yes we are long due for it, the 3rd mainland, carter and other big bridges around the nation was done by the FG, what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Final shot most of you gloating over the SE we will see how far, 15years ago Chinas infrastructure was nothing to right home about. Fast foward today they are beating some top Countries infrastructure wise eg US doesnt have a world class railway linking the entire Country while China with its size has modern fast speed bullet trains that linked the entire Country. Yea keep on gloating us, the East is rising, it may not be noticeable now, but by the time most of you haters will realise that it will be like a slap on your face, maybe then if you want to visit the wonders in SE you will have to go through intensive visa scrutiny.

HappyJoe: Please could we look at these things objectively.

Ayo Teriba is obviously a very intelligent man, but without solid data, there's a limit to the depth of his analysis.

1. This analysis was done before our economy was rebased.
2. That means that key sectors such as Nollywood, Telecoms & many services sectors weren't taking into account.
3. You cannot accurately describe the economy of say, Anambra without taking into consideration the impact of Nollywood (Aba & Onitsha) & a lot of other services.
4. So Ayo Teriba's analysis cannot be correct.
True talk. Some half baked journalist will publish a poorly researched write up and all these half baked folks on this forunm, will just be making noise.
Someone pointed out some facts that the GDP data the guy was quoting was outdated, and the reply he was given is that he is emotional.

My take on issues concerning this debate is simply this: the way Nigeria is presently structured, some regions are favoured more than the rest. Therefore until each region is free to manage the resources within her enclave and pay a certain percentage to a central purse, all these debate will just be noise.
Why cant Niger delta receive 50 to 70 percent of her resources revenue? Why cant the embargo placed on the natural resources of SE by the FG since after the war so that the region cannot maximise the huge deposits of Coal, Natural gas, a bit of Crude and other resources she is blessed with? Why must majority of imports and exports go through only Tincan, a port that is so congested which adds extra cost for other businesses in other regions using the port while other Cities with port potential like Warri, PH, Ibaka etc are neglected by the FG. I have more questions to ask but I dont have the time. Some will now say that I am being emotional, but these issues I raised are naked and open Truths. Let me reiterate it again: the way Nigeria is presently structured, gives undue advantages to some regions, while others are disadvantaged.

True Word. Africas problem is simply not taping and developing the inexhaustible God given resources that is within the human mind. Secondly most of our people just live for the now, they are not futuristic, and they dont have even basic 1 year plan, talkless of 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 years plan. That is why our fathers generation wasted Nigerias resources without any development to show, while most Western, developing and developed nations already have detailed plan/blueprint for the next 50 to 100 years.

Middle belt youths made a statement and it has turned to Igbo vs Yoruba e- tribal fight. Honestly the rivalry btw the two is so much I often ask how this two were brought into one country, it should never have been.

hensben: ifa hear, then why that guy nor add edo to his niger delta state he mentioned, cos edo get small oil not refined abi, only a blind man n a dullard don't know you guys plan but shoould incase it happened that we merge to form a country and you guys misbehave, I trust my niger delta guys, all those creek guys go chop una raw.
Form a Country with u guys? I dont think so. I still believe Nigeria can work if this bombing can be stopped and we go back to regions.
But if Nigeria was to break I personally think we Igbos should have our own Country, because if we form a Country with u guys, it will be liability to us developing well.
Why do I think so? look at how ur leaders have been wasting the money acruing to u frivolously from NDDC, to ministry of Nigerdelta, to allocation to amnesty money without putting sustainable development for the future, no longterm plan for the future. I was discussing with a friend some days ago who told me how some of ur past militants presently amassed untold wealth and spending lavishly, I personally told him that it will come back to haunt them, look at the Arab oil states with all their stupendous oil wealth are investing heavily for the future because they know that in no distant oil will run out her course, but ur people spend lavishly thinking that it will continue to be like that. So we Igbos will be better off on our if Nigeria is to break cos we think longterm, we will survive, likewise the Yorubas think longterm too, they will survive, although I still believe Nigeria might survive if this terrorism is nipped in the bud, but if the bombing continues I fear for this nation but I pray that this wickedness will be defeated.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Should Stop Running His Mouth, He’s A Product Of God-fatherism–ayo Fayos by djon78(m): 9:42pm On Jul 05, 2014
This guy has somehow redefined politics in Nigeria, the politicians we have parading the land are so much disconected from the people, living exotic lifestyle while there people suffer, they dont know the common man on the street is going through. I think this guys model will be the yardstick by which politics will be played now. How can a governor be flying exotic private jet and chopper, living faboulous life like a rockstar, while the people you govern cant afford three square meal, it is barbaric, inhuman etc.
For those saying that Ekiti people will hear am, I have a 90percent feeling that this will touch the lives of his people, because they really believed in him and supported him against all odds.
