umar745:War is an ill wind that blows nothing good but leaves destruction, misery and chaos. We should not be emotional, because of one man to expose millions to danger. Thats stupidity. I will always stand for peaceful coexistence than war. |
Mr Op it has not reached to that. Even if they take Ihejirika to Hague we cant do nothing about it. We should not play into the hands of those that wants the worst for us, so let sleeping dogs lie. Even the war you are talking about is a very terrible thing thing that cause more harm than good. Peace is better than war. Personally like I said we Igbos should focus on our strength which is hardwork, resourcefullness and business, and chanel them home to develop our region. We dont even need central Government to do this all we need is a collective will and pulling of resources together. That is why I stand for peace because it aids development while war brimgs chaos. So my brother dont be emotional use your brain. Thanks |
Gbawe:My brother you realy hit it on the head. That idea would have solved this fuel problem once and for all, it is just that those at the driving seat were not honest. Rather they preferred to enrich their own pockets and the ones of their evil cronies at the detriment of the common man. When GMB begin to implement these things and the problems gets solved they will be ashamed of themselves and history will always remeber them in a negative and shameful way. Buharis coming to power was simply a blessing and I believe He must totaly dismantle and uproot this evil foundation in Nigerha and then establish a new foundation and culture of integrity and discipline by discovering and harnesing faithful men that will carry the ideology when he is gone. With this Nigeria within a decade will be a wonder to the world. |
This is realy an excelent idea, I never came across it before. Honestly I knew Nigeria was sick and was at the mercy of very wicked men, but I later realised that they were so evil that they never even allowed crumbs to drop for ordinary Nigerians. They ate up everything in conivance with this present government. I think one of the unique things we will see with this incoming administratn is that it will totaly block all those evil vultures from eating what is meant to come to the common man, and in the end many of them will go bust and bankrupt. When you even take closer look at these men, they are not real business men rather they are fraudsters and conmen because a real businessman can never operate the way they do, without even basic business principles. There fall will shock many people because anything built on evil foundation will never last. And I am in support of whatever the in coming govt will do, because one of the bane and failure for Nigeria is that the present situation deprives the emergence of real entreprenures which are the catalyst needed for Nigerias economic advancement, growth and diversification, not fraudsters and conmen. |
Woged2005:Well women submission has always been part of our culture as Africans. But in another sense a line has to be drawn to separate male chauvanism. In summary a man should love, be good and nice to his woman, while the woman should obey and respect her man. That way it will work well. |
Who ever wrote this is so much confused. Marriage is a very serious issue most especialy because it involves two different beings. The centre point of every human is the heart. Prov 4 vs 23 says that the issue s of life has its source from the heart. Jesus said in luke 6 that a goodman out of the good treasure of the heart bring forth good things 1 John 5 says that God is love, while 1 corinthians 13 vs 4 defines the xter of love as: patient, kind, not boastful nor proud, not rude and not selfish. Who is then a God fearing man? He is one that have surrendered his heart to God and God fills it with his love so that man becomes a new person. Jesus said by these shall men know you are my disciple if you love one another. Most of the people you call God fearing are just religious men or church goers' by there actions you see that God is not in control of their heart. As for marriage the bible sahd Husband love your wives meaning be patient, kind, not selfish, not rude to their wives while wives on the othfr hand are to submit, obey and respect their husbands. The secret of a succesful marriage lies in both the man truly loving his wife, while the woman submits, obeys and resgects the man. When we look at many marriages failing today is because of those two attributes hhghlited are not being implemented. Thereby we have so many messed marriages. In addition to that many men and women look at the wrong values in chosing a spouse men look at outward beauty instead of the lasting treasures of good character while the women neglect lasting values like hardwork, highly responsible, good morals in a man but rathfr go for riches. Affluence etc. If men and women will be wise and do the right thing there will be many succesful marriages instead of many marriages breaking up at an alarming rate. |
These guys think they are dealing with a novice. The woman has all her facts and records straight. The governors must give a comprehensive and total account of what they did with all the money they received. Presently there is not enough money to share because oil price is down, and they should prepare for more because oil price may bottom out btw $30- 20 towards the end of the year due to over supply. |
baralatie:Dont mind them. What do you expect from backward and mediocre products of a failed education system. They have never experienced quality education before so they dont know Ngos caliber. Her fellow recipent is Janet Yalen, the present chairman Federal Reserve, a foremost economist that is at the driving helm of American economy. |
Ghost01:You are all realy funny, by calling her tokunbo economist. Even if you all have ten lifetimes, none of you can ever achieve what this woman has achieved. You think Yale is like all those half baked, comatose glorified secondary schools you call university in Nigeria, only Yale's annual research budget will buy up all the universities in Nigeria. One thing is that at least other global achievers in diaspora will learn from Ngozis experience and totaly avoid anything that will link them to job in Nigeria. A country where backward and less than mediocre persons are celebrated, while the sound ones are vilified. A nation with all her so called educated people but dont have the expertise to drill her oil and is left to the mercy of IOC's. A nation that imports almost everything she uses. Tell me one thing this nation is good at? Nothing, Zilch. The only thing is her citizens in diaspora making giant strides for themselves, nothing else. |
Congrats to Mummy Ngo. I believe by the time this administration winds up, many hidden secrets about how Nigeria was being run for the past 40years will be unraveled. GEJ, Aunty Ngo and many others with deep and first hand inside knowledge of things may expose a lot of things. The most shocking will be how the oil industry was run for the past 4 decades, the beneficiaries, then Nigeria and entire world will know. Like I said they have been in the system and they know lots of secrets hidden from the common man, even some Niger Delta already have access to these secrets. A lot of can of worms is about to be opened. |
cap28:I thought I was the only one shocked by this. The most painful part is that almost 90% of those posting here were hailing him. I was asking myself what is Oshiomoles job again. This man is not even a billionaire, if it was Aliko or Adenuga I wont bother because they have made their money. This guy was a former mere civil servant even as NLC leader, because he is now a governor, Edo peoples money will now fund his depraved vanity. Honestly it is a very big shame, and the president elect a bastion of anti corruption was a witness of this. If u research further u will be sure that her wedding/ engagement ring will cost if not $million. When I see all these things I weep 4 this country, we are so so far away and lost, our salvation is still far. |
emeka136:Most of you guys miss the point, you are puting the cart b4 the horse. I dont even think this Biafra agitation is what we need now, let us go back in history and see what others did b4. In 2nd world war Germany and Japan were defeated by the allied forces, but these 2 nations focused on technology and innovation. Today Germany is the economic power house of Europe, Angela Merkel is the most powerful leader in the entire EU, even more powerful than David Cameron of UK. I think we Igbos should focus and turn the SE into a prominent globally recognised technology and innovation region in Nigeria, with or without govt support. We can do it cos we have got it in us. Our main problem 4 now is lack of visionary leaders with such mindset. Individualy we did it, I know men who with nothing from scratch, no patronage but today have built dynasties. One of such men I admire so much is Innoson, I knew him when I was just a kid growing up back home. Last year I was at his car plant at Nnewi and I was so marveled with what I saw. What we need is collective will. Even among we Igbos many of us dont even support this Biafra agitation, I talk among my friends they will say Biawhat, sometimes I feel it is those less busy that carry it in their head. Those of us busy, doing our thing, building our companies, trying to make some good money no get time 4 that cos we are very busy. |
Chukwugekwu:bia nwokem kedu ihe na eme unu, gbalu ogwu gi nua. I think sometimes u guys are just unecesarily worked up. Dont just look things through ethnic prism. True there are so many frustration in the nation, but we cant just because of that opt out. Personaly I believe that each ethnic group in this nation has unique lovable and admirable character it is just that we have allowed negative emotions and ethnic hatred to blind our eyes. Finaly let me ask u this deep thoughtful question, do u think God in heaven relates to us based on the colour of our skin or our ethnic origin? The day we close our eyes in death and go to the great beyond, do u think those on the other side are concerned with ethnicity. I think we humans are just plain stupi.d, just relate with someone because he is ur fellow human being not because of his ethnicity. Thats is how many have missed genuine and true love because of ethnicity. |
I am Igbo from Idemili in Anambra State. I personaly think that this Biafra agitation has been encouraged by the frustrations of the way things has been in Nigeria. That is why this incoming administration and subsequent coming administrations must ensure that they make Nigeria work for all man be it East, West, North and South. Try and reduce the sufferings and frustrations across the Land. If done all these agitation will just die down. I believe despite the hate, frustrations and negative emotions we see both online and offline, there is a unique bond joining us all together as a nation. I know my people very well, they can easily be won over and they dont demand much, once they see the nation working even in little ways, they will fall in line, and they will give their all because one unique thing about them is that they act as good catalyst for development because they travel far and wide coupled with their being very industrious. And sometimes they can be a pain in the but.t because sometimes they can be blunt and crude telling it as it is (hahaha:-D:-D:-D), but bear with then we are all brnthers and one. One love. |
p2t2r:thats very true |
p2t2r:True bro. Marriage just like life is not easy, to get the best out of it you have to put in a great effort. |
p2t2r:Honestly no be small prison, but what can man do, one must have children and it is best done through the legal way: marriage. I think despite the challenges involved in marriage, we should just give our partners a benefit of doubt and at least try our possible best to make it work. |
this is realy hilarious!! Honestly this marriage thing self. I think the best way to survive it and life in general is to become very philosophical. |
LuckyLadolce:I have read a lot of his recent interviews and they are excellently sound. I never supported him, but this man may be the best thing that happened to this nation. God works in mysterious ways, the thing you fight might be the instrument He uses to bless you. You never know. |
handsomenairala:you got it spot on, there is no oneness in this nation, and anybody investing outside his region is doing so at his own peril. That is why I am taking everything down east. There are some serious massive investments am planning on, and everyone of them will be down east. |
Honestly this drama during this election period has realy opened my eyes as an Igbo person to things I have overlooked b4 and I have taken some critical deciscion. One is that I will reduce my exposure to Lagos completely to zero both investments, businesswise etc. I was in the east for like a week and I was realy impressed, eg Awka is wearing new look, with highbrow area springing up and enough land to develop. These are all we leave to go and dwell in lands where we are not appreciated. The time has come for we Igbos to forget all these running away from our place, let us go home and develop our place. This should be our agenda, if we do so in the next 10 to 20 years we will be glad we did. As for me I have made up my mind. |
The plain truth is that we have failed to see it, Nigeria is so much divided. And the truth is that there is no way you can build a nation into greatness when you have this kind of division. |
kaybams1:It is because you dont understand the enormity of what he did. Jonathan by that act completely averted a catastrophe of unimaginable proportion that would have torn this great nation to pieces. The westerners and global community were amazed at that great feat, it was unAfrican for a sitting president to call his rival and concede defeat while counting was still going on, because African leaders are known to seat tight, without giving up power eg Ivory Coast gbagbo, Zimbabwe Mugabe, Gabon Bongo, Angola Dos Santos, Equitorial Guinea president, Rwanda Kagame. Infact what Jonathan did will make the citizens of these Countries I mentioned begin to revolt against there sit tight leaders. I have a feeling Jonathan may win this years noble peace price. I believe a new dawn is coming for sub-saharan Africa, because Nigeria set a good example which others will now follow, peace and prosperity will begin to reign in entire black Africa. |
irunoobo:Why will it pain me, when none of these politicians put food on my table or money in my acct. Why I picked on u was because ur comments lacked substance. |
irunoobo:You see how myopic you are, it is not about good governance but about north and sw vs ss and se. Dude u sound shallow, dumb and u lack substance. Ur types are supposed to be locked up in the zoo, u dont reason like a normal human being, ur thinking depth is very shallow. |
Ralphlauren:I was going through the news coming from the westeren media and noticed they were realy surprised by what Gej did, it was unAfrican to them, they were expecting that by now serious crisis should be on. They see Africans as people given to violence, but Gej did the opposite. |
50calibre:dude I think you are the one that have problem, you sound very shallow, uncultured, and barbaric. We are talking about a sane man, call him what you will GEJ by that single act is now a global icon. Something unheard of before that an incumbent African president will call his opponent even b4 total vote was announced. Mark it Gej might collect this years Noble Peace Prize previously won by Obama, Mandela , Bishop tutu, cos I know westerners they know how to reward this kind of good gesture. Then uncultured and barbaric men like u will hug transformer. |
