PoliticsRe: Anambra Guber: Who Killed Soludo? Bysteve Osuji by djon78(m): 7:38pm On Aug 23, 2013
Infact two men that I have seen in the entire Igbo politicians that have a mind of their own and cannot be bandied around like puppets are Rochas Okorocha and Chris Ngige, and with that type of mindset they will do their own plan for their people and APC will not control them like puppets.
PoliticsRe: Anambra Guber: Who Killed Soludo? Bysteve Osuji by djon78(m): 7:25pm On Aug 23, 2013
The main issue is that soludo's camp should not just give up, they should look for other options, they can't let this chance pass them.

Also I think it is time the Igbo leaders take a good look at themselves and see the mess going on in Igboland, can things continue going on like this, is it not time they develop a clear cut vision for the region, why must Abuja be playing them like puppet on a string? Is it not time they form a party with ideology centered on the development of the east cos INEC are still registering new parties coupled with the fact that APGA has become a total failure and is dead. Honestly I think it is time my people got it right, we have the resources to turn south east into a great success but we are wasting away, I believe it is time to make serious effective change.
PoliticsRe: Okonkwo Concedes APC Ticket To Ngige by djon78(m): 7:16pm On Aug 21, 2013
I think this Anambra governorship election is Ngige/Apc winning it despite all odds because Chris Ngige is a grassroot politician, coupled with the dynamic strategies they will deploy to route the opposition, adding Soludo's disgrace this election is APC's.

Mind u am from Anambra.
PoliticsRe: 2015: APC Unfold 8-point Agenda by djon78(m): 8:58pm On Aug 19, 2013
Honestly I think am begining to like this APC party. They have well articulated blueprint and agenda. Also I like the area where they talked about shielding the party from image of their strongmen because, their opponents have used it as a weapon against them, like calling them bokoharam party or asiwaju party, this way they can win over the pessimsts, suspiscious and bigotry folks.
PoliticsRe: Real Reasons APGA Disqualified Soludo..The PDP,Fidelity Bank Connection by djon78(m): 8:32pm On Aug 19, 2013
I thank God for sites like these, where evil attrocities committed is brought to open. The desperation of 2015 may end up consuming the aso rock man, honestly. The best candidate in this Anambara election is Soludo followed by Ngige, and only one of them should become our Governor.

And honestly Igbo leaders need to ask themselves serious question, look at how the yorubas all aligned under Asiwajus leadership and one thing I give to him despote all his negativity he picks performers, infact he is a colosus in that, but when I look at my Igbo brothers with all the wiseness we claim, thugs, agberos, visionless, unintelligent men and renegades. That's why APC and any other progressive party should do their home work well, never relent and capture Anambara state because God forbid bad thing if those evil Abuja men impose Andy Uba, Ifeanyi Uba and the fidelity bank stooge on us, Chukwu ama nkwe(God forbid bad thing). And finally Peter Obi must be called to account on how he wasted our resources for 8 God forsaken years of locust, no wonder he so much politicied the Fashola saga, bloody snitch.
PoliticsRe: Can We Put An End To Ethnic Rivalries And Hostilities? by djon78(m): 9:22pm On Aug 04, 2013
I have been reading the abomination that has been poured out from both sides of the divide, it is really shocking.

Anybody that judges and treats people based on where they come from is not human, honesrtly, what I have seen on this Nairaland is really shocking. Infact I think tribal bigots and those that hate and judge people because of where they come from, will never see good in life because the bigotry has eaten deep into their consciousness.
PoliticsRe: Ibaka Seaport In Akwa Ibom To Start Operations In 2015 by djon78(m): 11:47pm On Aug 01, 2013
Many people dont understand what is really taking place, it is a quiet revolution. Ibaka seaport will be strategically important to the bussinesses in the South East, the way Hongkong and Shanghai seaports played important strategic role to the economic development of mainland China. Coupled with what Nnaji is doing on Aba power project, I see an African economic wonder emerging from that region.

I think the time has come for most of our people to become seriously creative, think outside the box, lets become a big time manufacturing/production/knowledge based economy. Aba power project visavis Ibaka deep seaport may be the key that will unlock this graet emerging economic journey.
PoliticsRe: Soludo Joins APGA As A Gubernatorial Aspirant by djon78(m): 7:20pm On Jul 29, 2013
Oh Lord please let this true, we have in Charles Soludo the answer to the heart cry of many of us. If Peter Obi can pull this off, then he has done of the greatest thing and left a great legacy for us and entire South East, and it will be a foundation for only technocrats to be allowed in place of Laeadership in entire South East, enough of all these slow poke/ visionless leader.
If Soludo joins APGA, I personally will campaign for him, with all that I have got.
Ngige is my bros from the neighbouring town to my home town, he did a lot for us in terms of roads especially, but we need a man in the form of Soludo to take Anambra and entrie South East to a high developed imoportant economic region in this country.
PoliticsRe: Ladipo Traders On Rampage by djon78(m): 11:36pm On Jul 27, 2013
I think this is a wake up call to our governors in the East to put plans in place to plan, creat and develop new cities in the East, so that our people living in other zones especially hot zones, can bring some of their investment home.
They should tap on the expertise of our learned people like Okonjo-Iweala, Soludo, Ezekwesili, Nnaji, Arunmah Oteh, Akunyili, Anyaoku, Ndukwe and including our top buisness moguls to form out economic agenda for the region. The Igbos have many area of advantage but the problem is there is no clear cut direction, no leadership to show the way, and I think the time is come for Igbo leaders to wake up.
Whatever this present case, what I have deduced is those in the South west there body language is showing that they dont want u in there place again, and I think this is just the begining of more unfolding drama.

But it is not yet late, there is still time, so let those who are wise read btw the lines and do the right thing now that there is still time. I rest my case.
PoliticsRe: FG Approves 40 Firms For Q3 Petrol Importation by djon78(m): 7:01pm On Jul 24, 2013
I have so wept for the unstopable watse by the government, that I dont even have strength in me to weep again.
Why are our leaders threating the resources of this nation like this?
We have refinery in port harcourt/warri/kaduna, where lots of money were spent on turn around maintainance(more than 3 billion dollars since 1999) and yet we still have the boldness to import fuel. It is indeed painful because these men dont care about the ordinary Nigerian on the street who toil day and night to make ends meet, but one thing I am sure of is that these men, all of them will never go unpunished, they may think they can get away but they wont.
PoliticsRe: The True Enemies Of Ndigbo. by djon78(m): 8:02pm On Jul 23, 2013
The main source of Igbos problem is lack of real, honest and visionary leadership, all the leaders we have are after their own interest.
The right Igbo leadership will focus on economic development of the South east cos the Igbos have the qualities to improve, sustain and advance the economy of the east, and ther will be no need the so called monthly allocation. Thats why there is need for emergence of new, focused and visionary leaders from the East, things cant continue being like this.
PoliticsRe: 22 Nigerians Arrested For Fraud In The US by djon78(m): 7:33pm On Jul 23, 2013
This is what happens when young men think they will do whatever it takes to make money, without going through hardwork, diligence and perseverance. They can get away with such things here, but you cant get away with it in the west. The root of all these is bad and corrupt leadership coupled with a corrupt and eroded cultural values.

I will keep on saying it to youngmen nothing pays like, hardwork, creative thinking and diligence, with these qualities and over time anybody can attain any highet but lack of value has turned many youngmen into get rich quick scheme.

And please lets not make it about ethnicity, I know the shameful crime some youngmen from my own tribe also committ abroad, it cuts across, it shows the value decadence that has affected Nigeria, it is a pity.
PoliticsRe: Group Scores President Jonathan’s Administration Low. A Must Read !!!!! by djon78(m): 10:19pm On Jul 20, 2013
Let me add my little contribution: the projects I personally have seen is benin-ore-sagamu road, I am in my mid 30's and I can say that I remember the nightmare that road used to cause, some slept overnight on that road because of how bad it was, I drove on that road in April and May and I could nt believe how goood it was, did benin to Lagos 2.5 hrs, and it was this govt, that did it.

On the airports, I have landed in some of the best Airports in the world but seen how terrible our airports have been, and I always ask myself is there anything wrong with us. But I have been impressed with the total makeover going on in our airports.

Then concerning agriculture, I can categorically say that this present agric minister Akinwunmi is one of the leading lights of this administration with his policies. By 2015 Nigeria will be rice sufficient, there presently springing up 13 rice mills in the north, talkless of other parts, last 2 weeks, there was a confrence on agric revolution in Abuja hosted by the Rockefeller foundation, one of the biggest investment funds in the world, this kind has never been done b4, infact no administration before has taken agric sector serious like this present one.

Then concerning power a lot of overhauling is being done the way OBJ did telecomms own but power infrastructure is very challenging and capital intensive, coupled with corrupt PHCN cabals, but soon power issue will be a past occurence.

On the education field, suffice to say that one of the biggest problem bedeviling this sector is outdated, acheic, obsolete system, especially the tertiary institutions. Majority of the lecturers are outdated, and the good ones have all been taken abroad, only chaffs are left here. Most of these phd has nothing to offer, no research, etc. That is why the quality of graduates been churned out from most of these university are below par. So as government has a role to play, the citizens have their role to play also.

The more I look on this our world, the more I know that humanity is on the edge of destruction. In the west gays and lesbians are now legalised to marry openly, In underdeveloped and backward regions they are legalising raping of girls as young as 6 years in the name of marriage.
One of the biggest problem of humanity is in ability to control animal lust in man, and this will lead to the destruction of huanity.

Or is it Oando, where did Wale tinubu get the money to set up such company?

When u look at gbawe's post, u will see what acn are good at, lies, propaganda and image laundering, without any iota of truth, that's why those that still have a bit of integrity does not take him serious because he is a deceiver, liar, empty, shallow and ignorant, putting on a fake cloak of progressive and saviour of the masses, while he is only hustling for his pocket and filthy lucre.

Forget ignorant posts made by many ignorant youths on this forunm, the men and women that run things in this our world are graduates of top schools like harvard, yale, stanford, oxford, cambridge, London school of economics etc.

I am so sorry for humanity, when men will the path ordained by God and nature and venture into paths that is anti nature. If man was marying, can human beings come into existence.

The worst thing that has happened to our world is secularism, where men do anything that comes to their mind, without any inhibition. We will see where they will end up on this path they have chosen.

And please African leaders should never allow this kind of abomination, to be permited openly on our lands, instead let it remain as a shameful and secret thing.
PoliticsRe: Northern Governors, Soyinka Stoned At Port-Harcourt Airport by djon78(m): 7:54pm On Jul 16, 2013
if these guys know what is good for them, they should stay away from Niger delta, I know them very well, they are not gentleman at all, as you saw from the house fracas video, if their elected members can fight like that, talkless of their ordinary citizens they are all tigers, those fueling this better be warned.

The Niger delta people are tough nuts to crack oo, they were toughened as a result of hardship metted out to them for more than 3 decades of neglect by successive governments, they even began to enjoy and taste their oil money a bit from commencement of democracy during 1999, when they started receiving 13percent derivation. I can vividly remeber that a place like the whole of Bayelsa state was not connected to Nepa's national grid until sometime after 1999, there were no roads as in zero roads, infact zero underdevelopment. I remeber when I followed one of my bossom friend to Bayelsa then, my heart bled for the kind of under development I saw, while this was the same place where oil that sustains Nigeria was gotten from, it was terrible.

That is why those fueling this crisis from outside should be cautioned, Amechi is a lone wolf in the entire Niger delta, if his people cook for him, he cannot finish it, and if care is not taken, this crisis may engulf this entire country.

Let those fueling this thing be fore warned, you are not dealing with gentlemen, no, you are dealing with people toughened and hardened as a result of condition they saw themselves in Nigeria. I rest my case, he who has ear let him hear.
PoliticsRe: The Harm Nigeria Does To The North by djon78(m): 8:04pm On Jul 15, 2013
This is an excellent, truth revealimg article. The problem like one abubaka up there stated is the northern leaders, they willingly enable this present condition to suit there selfishness, where the average northerner is uneducated, poor and backward. It is a pathetic and heart breaking issue, something need to be done about this.
PoliticsRe: Pro-amaechi Lawmakers To Be Prosecuted by djon78(m): 1:58pm On Jul 14, 2013
Abagworo: You are right. Vengeance has never been justified by any law in the world. Lloyd's action was more like vengeance than self-defense and he would have been prosecuted if it happened outside the house chambers. Prosecuting him now is illegal already.
did u just think b4 u wrote that thing, so inside the house chambers they are protected? Then a lawmaker might as well pull out gun and kill inside the chambers and he will not be prosected, arrant nonsense. The whole house should be probed and prosecuted according to their offenses, as for those security operatives that joined in the fight inside the chambers, the full arm of the law should be slammed on them.
PoliticsRe: Genesis Of The Rivers House Of Assembly Crises by djon78(m): 7:32pm On Jul 13, 2013
What a revealing article. Please those that are close to the president and Amechi should find a way to show them this article, I believe this is the most effective solution to this crisis.
The two warring parties should sheath their sword, for the interest of their people.

The people in opposition from the outside region that are supporting Amechi with all their media propaganda are not helping matters, they dont know the fire they are stoking may devour this nation, I am using this medium to warn them because 2013 is not 1966, when the fire start, it will consume them, so they better be warned.

Finally they should leave the president alone to finish his remaining 2 years when we reach 2015 whether he eventually contests, wins or looses, that is for future to determine.
As much as they accuse this president there are areas the guy is working on like:
electricity (I believe by 2014 steady electricity will come on stream),
serious overhaul of our airports infrastructure,
roads( like benin-ore road has never been this good, lagos-ibadan express awarded, second niger bridge and many more roads I cant mention),
massive revolution in Agric sector. The truth is that the president is really trying, I have critically evaluated his performance thus far with past regime and can say of a truth and with a pure conscience, Goodluck is trying, inspite of lies and propaganda from some of worst media I have ever seen. But he should improve fight against corruption. Thanks

Op thanks a million, you asked a very good question, but some of the people here will call you all sorts of names.

The answer is nothing, it is not that blacks cannot it is just that majority are mentally lazy, dumb and cant critically look at things properly, that is why they wont waste time to curse you out.

We need to ask ourselves some deep searching questions. If we are to progress, if not the gap btw us and the rest of the world will be too much.

bros do u really mind this people, if u look at most of comments on this forum, it shows you how dumb and clueless most of them are, they cannot read and comprehend things. One was calling the aviation minister clueless, but there is no aviation minister that has achieved what that woman is doing, look at the kind of renovation work going on in our airports, at least I have seen them myself, and u will give her kudos, cos she is trying.
The main problem is that they just love to condenm without critically looking at things.
PoliticsRe: Why Mrs. Jonathan Does The Outrageous Things She Does By Ozodi Osuji by djon78(m): 8:06pm On Jul 12, 2013
This guy is spot on, 98 percent of blacks/negros around the world are not smart/dumb, if you like insult me, but I have checked and analysed, and seen it to be true.
If not look at the entire black Africa and ask yourself what they have contributed to the world, look at Nigeria, an adult that refuses to grow up.

And he is right about what he said about the Asians, they are smarter and have better positive attitutude to life than even the Caucascians(oyibo). And the issue of high IQ is right, many folks think that university degree is smartness, no, that is why you have many educated Africans/Nigerians but when you bring them into a system they cannot effect a positive change in the system, and this is one of the problems beddeviling this country/continent where we have so many educated people while majority are dumb and clueless.

This is not just about patience and Goodluck, but includes allmost all the political elites, they are all freakin..g dumb, the only I will say that exudes a little bit of smartness is Babatunde Fashola, only him, and I give him 30percent on my scale, and maybe Donald Duke 15 percent, all others are trash, empty, useless and food for worm like mr osuji said.
AgricultureRe: Agriculture In Nigeria by djon78(m): 7:21pm On Jul 11, 2013
Obiagelli: Agriculture is the least of concerns for this government, it is very difficult to syphon money in agriculture because results can easily be monitored hence the low amount allocated to agric in the budget.

As regards the agric minister who should be a motivational speaker for his sweet mouth, has been a failure despite what they want us to believe.

What are and how effective is his policies on food production, seedling, processing, storage, marketing and training?

A situation where fertiliser is distributed to farmers (very stupid idea) regardless of the type of crops they are farming.

How about poultry, dairy, cattle and pork farming?
bia woman u re seriously misinformed, why do u guys like peddling falsehood, Akinwunmi Adesina is the best agric minister we have had for a long while, his policies on agric is one area this administration is doing right, in areas like reducing the over dependence on importaion of foods where Nigeria spends 10 billion dollars annually on.
Policies which will see us producing all the rice we eat locally by 2015, right now there are over 15 rice milling plant being established in the north presently. On monay this week, the Rockefeller foundation a world renowned investor hosted a confrence on Agric revolution, in Abuja an initiative of this present minister.

There are areas this administratuon is getting it wrong, but in Agric they are really doing excellently, so please stop spreading your lies, where things are being done well, lets commend and where things are done wrongly u can condenm it.
PoliticsRe: Amaechi And Jonathan: What Caused The Rift ? by djon78(m): 10:01pm On Jul 10, 2013
Nigeria is sitting on a very big jeg of gunpowder and dynamite and if care is not taken, the crisis that will emerge, the magnitude will be uncontrollable.

The main issue here is that there is a serious covert war have been going on for some time now btw the presidency and the opposition hawks coalition of northern oligarchy and the goverment in control of swest, Amechi just being the pawn in the chess game. The situation building up is a very dangerous trend and may lead to the fulfillment of US prediction concerning Nigeria not being in existence by 2015, and the catch in the whole issue now is that those guys in the Niger delta are so rich now( the northern oligarchs riches cannot match them now, moneywise) , they have access to sophisticated weapons that they can ddecide to opt out of Nigeria. The dilenma now is that military coup cannot be possible in Nigeria now because if any coup takes place, it is over for Nigeria. This leaves us to the mercy of the politicians, that have looted this country mercilessly in this democratic era, and the painful thing is that majority of these guys are unrepentant thugs, they are not gentlemen and this has been because of the way our politics has been, with politicians entitled to so much wealth. For example the likes of Amechi, Akpabio, Uduaghan, Tinubu, GEJ, and their croonies have accesss to economic resources worth trillions, when these men can control this kind of reources, they will do the undoable to make sure the status quo doesnt change.

Mind you they do not have the interest of the masses at heart, no it is only there interest but they may just drop some little crumbs for the masses and name it 'democracy dividend', in the end
the masses keep on suffering.

This issue is the situation in most sub-saharan African countries. With the exception of mandela, past botswana president and maybe Ghana in the past decade, black Africa has lacked visionary, compassionate leaders that their heartbeat passion will be to see their countries citizens live a decent life, leaders like mao of china, lee kuan yew of singapore, mahati of malaysia, the leaders of korea, japan, taiwan, brazil etc. These were countries that were backward and poor compared to the west in the last two decades but today have emerged as global economic powers. Although I will say onnly Fashola is close to those kind of leaders I mentioned he is a gentleman but surrounnded by wolves.

I seriously weep for the blackman because we have been so blessed by God but instead have wasted, mismanaged the blessings that God gave us like the prodigal son. I rest my case.

PoliticsRe: Where Is The Money? -by: Ayisha Osori -Via Leadership Newspaper by djon78(m): 1:16pm On Jul 02, 2013
The question has already been answered in the article: posh mansions scattered all over our poor developed cities, posh/exotic rides, private jets, high champagne consumption, exotic weddings abroad and off course billions of embezzeled funds stashed away in foreign accounts.

God gave Nigeria opportunity in the past decade through high oil prices to make enough money and prepare for the future but it was all wasted. Presently many countries have discovered oil, US and other consumers have discovered oil and alternatives. We are on a last chance saloon, time has come for tightning of purse and judiscious using of earnings in the right places, if not, then I am afraid to say that, the economic crisis that will come will be onheard of.

And finally I think the political class and elites need to be made to account for all there waste, all of them, none should be exempted and exonorated, and it must cut across all ethnic/party/religion/region divide, none should be exonorated until they give account of their stewardship
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Government Broke; Targets Pension Savings by djon78(m): 4:05pm On Jun 29, 2013
The main fact is that successive Nigerian governments have been focusing only on oil, without thinking, planning and implementing diversification policy, coupled with the issue of delapidated infrastructure due to decades of neglect. Presently this regime has not helped matters, which has put Nigeria on the edge of a cliff, dangling toward perdition. If proper measures are not put in place timely, I am afraid to say the future really looks scary for this nation.

Measures and policy needed to focus on are: diversification to agriculture, reduction in import over dependence by focusing on ways to enhance and maximise Nigerian industires and goods, massive overhaul of infrastructure especiallly power and roads, improving the quality of our education system.

With sincerity of purpose by the leaders both federal, state and local govt, we will avoid the coming disaster and crisis, but if not, then it will be only a matter of time and the entire nation will face the music.
