It's indeed a sad situation-the lose of filial love and bond never minding the cause. It's like a sear in the heart.

Mine was more than 24hrs...I downed a cup full of spirit and went out like a switch. My Grandma was so worried...she kept waking me to eat. Ever since, I never failed to acknowledge my light weight with alcohol.

Reason: I was jobless with no worries in the world. I was someone else's responsibility. So, I could afford to sleep that long. Not sure they were sleeping while I slept.

As it is now, except if I am knocked out by alcohol, it will be hard for me to sleep that long without waking at intervals. My natural body-clock and life problems would wake me up.

Recently discovered that no matter when I hit the sack, my body-clock reasserts itself over my desire for sleep. I wake up when I usually do depending on the day of the week; weekdays-4am, weekends-7am

Mine was 12+ hours.

It was occasioned by work related issues.

Most of the pastors nowadays are nothing more than entertainers and motivational speakers. They stimulate you to think about your life, how to make it big, using sweet sounding words and beautiful rhymes, but don't really make you want to be born again or know God more.

The only difference between a modern pentecostal church sermon and an Eck meeting is that that the pastor calls on Jesus for emphasis while the other teacher calls on the Mahanta for legitimacy. Aside this, the contents of both sermons is the same; how to succeed in life, motivational talk, business insights and the like. Just like you said, there is hardly any spiritual fulfillment from attending these pentecostal meetings.
