Enyinne: Frankly speaking this thread is losing its main reason of creating it .I follow other threads on nairaland and it's rare to see people abuse and throw insult like this uber forum does. People respect each other's opinion without insulting them . Poor communication is killing this thread thereby keeping reasonable people who might make a genuine input to stay off .Gradually I see with time, this thread will pack up as no one wants to express himself and get insulted for it .Experience is no more shared rather we share insult. Let's communicate better so New entrant in the business can hv a good start cos for me and my household we are on d fence . Happy New Year to all. With all due respect Madam, you were very active and instrumental in making this thread what it has become according to you. smeag0l: Where and how you meet a guy matters. I just cant stop laughing whenever I read comments ladies I hold in high regard make on this thread. There are millions of men who eke a decent living in Nigeria either through a job or business (at least I know hundreds of them including myself). The factis that these guys will not go to a club and pop 10 bottles of champagne in one night, they will not buy a car or other luxurious gifts for a girlfriend and they'll not spend money lavishly on frivolous things or events. And yes, i know a lot of guys like this that earn 7 digit salaries. We drive decent and not too flashy cars, spend moderately whenever we hang out and we are focused. However, the problem is that our Nigerian girls are easily intrigued by what they see. They prefer those guys that buy all the drinks in a club, drive the most flashy cars etc. Those guys don't know the value of money cos they don't work for it. That's why a lot of ladies fall prey Hear Ye! Hear Ye!! |

majekdom2: I never said there is anything wrong in a broke guy. I only said there is something wrong when a broke guys shames and blame a lady victim of rituals because he feels she only dates rich guys. Thank you again for re-iterating we dont have the right values and yes many Nigerians don't have empathy. Until we celebrate achievements that are not necessarily linked to money, them this problem will not go away. Until our religious leaders let it be known that there is life beyond being rich this scourge won't stop. Until we celebrate that successful poet, inventor, activist, philanthropist, volunteer worker, that doctor, nurse, lawyer (all the aforementioned being recognised for their intellectual and social worth), then ritual killings by ritualist, Yahoo boys, politicians, pastors, and imams is here to stay. It ain't going nowhere. Y'all ain't seen nothing yet!. |

Elxandre: Let's call a spade a spade.
We all know Nigeria is an unsafe country to live in. This is the reason everyone, girls especially must be careful of evil associations.
This money mentality unfortunately is the root cause of everything, no thanks to the Pop culture. Yahoo boys masked as Music stars, doing nothing but promoting Yahoo. Just check the top 20 songs in Nigeria right now, and see how many of them mock broke guys, and bodly promote illicit money.
Also Most ladies who come here to rant about these developments will still mock financially less capable guys offline. How do you really expect a guy in his early 20's to own a Posh Benz and a sweet apartment in this hell hole called Nigeria without engaging in dubious endeavours?
There are legit rich guys, but the fact is most really rich guys you see are into shady stuff.
As a guy, I'm scared of these guys, but how is it that ladies don't give a damn, despite knowing the risks? I mean some even date known yahoo boys. It's just shocking.
I'm not saying don't date a rich guy, but you have to ensure he's legit enough. A society where your relevance is measured by the size of your bank account...there you have it. The aftermath of this craze for wealth, this senseless exultation of ill-gotten and even legit wealth is what we are now witnessing. Our sisters, neices, mum's and even grandmoms have turned to fodder for wealth seeking individuals. Even as I type this,I see them all around me...the fair skinned damsels and their pants sagging companions coupled with others with beer belly compateioys... I take a healthy swig from my Ultimate, wipe my eyes and sigh in contentment while loosening my tie (it's been a hard day at the office), I read these comments and ruminate on life, on Nigeria. I didn't park a 2018 Mercedes at the lounge park but, I'm gonna relax here to my heart's content with my colleagues and go home a contented soul with a clear conscience. Well, we paid the Piper to play the tune, let's all dance to it even if it is a dance of shame and the macabre. |
Crime › Re: Yahoo Plus: "If Dem Go Use You, Dem Go Use You..." (Screenshot) by DJperdurabo: 7:19pm On Nov 30, 2018 |
Ranchhoddas: Your comments were nice till you attacked broke guys. What is wrong with being broke? Even the Bible that you have as your signature tells us that there will always be broke people. This surge in ritual killings among our youths is just a symptom of the real problem -- our values. The desire for money above all else. The world is structured in such a way that some people, most people will be broke regardless of how hard they work. And when people proceed to shame them, they get desperate and resort to extreme measures.
Whatever happened to contentment, to love for love sake and not for pecuniary gains. Everyone says they don't want their nieces and sisters to date broke guys, well this is the result.
There are not enough rich men to go around. We must change our values and our thought processes, the things we hold dear should be love, contentment, and kindness to every one regardless of their standing. As long as we continue to worship Mammon, things like this will continue to happen and no amount of internet rage will stop it. The most salient, educative, introspective and wise comment thus far! |

okwabayi: Another use is “I can’t put the merriment which took place into words.”.
Every time I hear this it’s in a context of a competition. It normally means “a stalemate is the likely result.”. Literally it means “after all is said and done no winner and no loser will emerge.”.
He is rich/wealthy.
There are many means to the same end. Spot on! Another angle I considered was me trying to construct these sentences in correct English. What I mean is, taking the words in its pidgin form and using these same words to construct same sentence in English possibly with the addition of little to no articles. The results sounded "weird". |

And how many so called women with a "ring" on their finger do this? xendra: nope. I'm still alive, I don't give men enough time to break my heart. Pray tell my friend, how long will you keep being on the defensive? With time, it is a weary load to carry on a long journey down a thorny path. Let go and chalk every heartbreak down to experience while checking out how you contributed to the outcome. Given time, you become more "mature" in your outlook on relationships and dealing with the other sex to the extent that men recognise this "thing" about you that they. Can't really put their hands on or a name to thus desiring you all the more. When this happens, you can take your time to make a choice as they'll be all over you, falling at your feet, begging to be a part of that "strength" and "wisdom" you exude. These things are wrote aren't fairy tales, it's happening around you to wise women. Just look around. |

highqueen: lmao. guys are never pleased. he will still cheat on you with a lazy dependent girl. Yes, that may happen but it shouldn't make her stop being caring as in truth, if you look at it from the grand scheme of things, she's doing it for herself and not him (even if she doesn't know this) as she's laying up treasures for herself. I hear you say "nice guys finish last" right? And "bad" girls get hooked up quicker right? But then my dear friend, it is about peace and harmony in the home that will last for a life time (or as is reasonably possible given the quirks of human nature); something your "bad" and "smart" girl can NEVER enjoy as long as nature remains true (and cosmic laws are immutable btw). Don't believe me? Go on social media to entertain yourselfwith stories of failed relationships and marriages of you-know-them... |

Still looking for a reliable website design? Then check my signature No advance payment(s) required* I don't believe it's been "desperate". It is "her nature". It is her personality, ethos and creed. Even if a girl like this gets hurt by a chap she does all this for, she'll do it again...and again...and again. Why? Because it is "her nature", and you know what? Nature will definitely reward her neverminding how long or how many heartbreaks she goes through (occasioned by dating some shithead of a guy who goes after the gilt with the gold in sight). Why? Because it is written, it is a cosmic law as he that sends out blessing and well wishes will receive such in turn. It may be delayed, but it speedily approaches. Note that the reverse holds true also. |
Properties › Well Located Building For Lease Urgently Needed In Lekki Or VI by DJperdurabo(op): 1:54pm On May 26, 2018 |
Hello!
Please get at me if you have a building available for lease in a well located area in Lekki Phase I or VI. The building is to be used for an upscale lounge/club catering to very select clients.
Note:
1. Location MUST be free from severely potholed roads, street trading, and not prone to flood (the type that prevents human and vehicular movement).
2. Location MUST be serene. No Keke, Okada wahala and whatnot.
3. Location MUST be located at or off a major commercial district (commercial here means corporate entities and the like, not kiosks and whatnot).
4. Location MUST enjoy reasonable NEPA power (we all know it's bad but we all also know some areas are not just bad but virtually power comatose).
For experienced realtors, I believe you know why the above is sine qua non to signing the deal. This is needed URGENTLY.
Please, if you do not have properties that meet the above or at least 3 of the above (number 1 cannot be negotiated) do not contact me. If you are not the direct agent also desist from pretending to be as we will find out (zero tolerance for any mago mago here!). Serious realtors only please.
Kindly send a mail with the description, location, price and pictures of the property to djperdurabo@gmail.com
Again, kindly abstain from asking me to state my budget here. If you have what we need, contact me and we will take it up from there. The project is on a clock.
Regards. |
