I don miss!!! Why this MOD dey always hide post na Abi you want make I send Boko Harram![]() |
Nairaland FBI: Make I tel you this one, I am not one of the people u can rubbish or lash anyhow. I will give it back to you. You are the one who is lame too. Make u no even think you are anonymous. It won't take me up to 2hrs to get your identity (picture, full name, where u work now and in the past etc) and show all of the thread who the rude girl is. Insult me again or anyone on this thread and see if I will not do it.ok I see where you got your name from now. Only difference is FBI is not as active as you are. You could actually get full info of someone in 2hrs? Wow!!! It took the self acclaimed almighty AROY1 more than a couple of days to get my photo And he felt so good about it lol.... FBI and yve, make una squash this thing and chill |
Nairaland FBI: I have been following this thread ever since I finished my NYSC last year. You be one of the people wey I respect on this thread. I am not anonymous, I am joining the group officially because i am expecting my i-20 from my school and need to ask some questions. I have read some Yvete's post where she was so rude to people. Many people like me are even afraid to post because of the fear of getting dissed. I have read this thread from page 1. I just dey wish make people like nethacker, nairaspace, superbrain, kspecial, seniorak47,ojap,bomny,djunit,gongoaso participate actively. These people answer your questions with respect. All those people na real people sha. I respect them and will continue to respect them. Na people wey lay better foundation be that. Now all you get on this thread na bossy people wey believe say once you make am to the USA you don reach heaven. God go see us all through |
webstradamus: abájo!Na today? No Matter how long it takes, I go pay am. I nor dey fear to owe debt. This country thrives on it. So, I am not concerned with debt |
bigfrancis21: Some Nigerians out there are really giving Nigeria a bad name. Disheartening#Na today Naija name don spoil? Asking for tuition from Nigerians may or may not have anything to do with what Nigerians did recently. I went a whole semester before without paying a penny even though I am Nigerian but Indians couldn't. Every school is different |
lolabunny90: Hi house,I hail the house.... I doubt any one has answers to your questions! This interview is not a general thing. Every case is different. The way they assessed the guy that went last week is not the way they would assess you. They are not looking "any type/kind of persons"... Plus, they most of the time, do not have any reason for denying any body. |
celebrating bastards!!!! A child born outside of wedlock remains a bastard irrespective of how much money you have in your bank accounts!!! Naija come dey worse pass rest of the world self. |
justwise: Explain how i over do it.Oyewole said he would advice yankeeboi but your said if he drops his email you'd delete it! That is over do. I am not a friend of his. If you follow this thread then you'd know he and I never agrees but what you said was not right Assuming that oyewoles advice is goin to be something illegal is over do! Deletin people's comment just because you are offended by it is another one. Breakin this thread into parts when clearly it can continue for as long as possible is another over do I can go on and on but I wont. IMO, there should be like 3 to 4 moderators to agree on whether to take down a contribution before it can be taken down. Lettin one person especially a Nigerian make decisions such as this is never a good idea |
imperiouxx: Chai! I miss a lot of yarns, Justwise don block them all. There you go again with America is "Sweet" Everywhere you find yourself can be sweet if you plan well, People who are not complaining are people who have families here. I dont care how much funding you get from your school, life in yankee is not easy. Lets us try our best to tell it the way it is. Sugar coating wont help others! It is because of these stories that made Yankeeboi1 come to yankee without a laptop, he was prolly expecting to get one for cheap or free. Na so I leave mine for Naija too! I was lucky I had enough money to buy another as soon as I got here. I beg everyone of you in yankee to please and please always paint the picture the way it is. So unneccessary sufferins of Nairalanders can be avoided. As for Justwise, you are over doin it!!! This is usually the problems with Nigerians. When you give them power they abuse it and turn themselves to gods. Imprecious I am not hopin for a better day in yankee. my own na to manage finish school go back home. It does not matter how much hope you have in this country everything is fixed, I have met too many people and got very close to them. These people make 100Gs annually and they still strugglin with student loans and mortgages This is how I know this country will not favor everyone especially people like us who grew up in other countries with different way of life. A life and system where we get what we want whenever we want. That is all |
YankeeBoi, eyaaa sorry for your situation ooooh! This is what I have always told everyone! Life here is not like Naija. In Naija you can walk for 30 minutues every day but here I doubt if anyone can survive it. When it rains/shines it is usually extreme. Yankee no easy! People go come here come lie give una about how you can survive on 150 bucks a month! Cost of Gasoline for two weeks is more than 150. When you add rent, food, electricity, water, internet, cable, insurance for both house and car then you go know say cost of living in Naija for a year is what you'd spend in a month here. And to get job Close to impossible. Few of us with jobs are lucky to have these jobs and most times the job does not pay every bill. Like some people have said, start by telling us the state where you are maybe people can link you with other forum members. One thing I can tell you is no Friends when it comes to payin bills in yankee. If you like know everyone in your city, no one is goin to take over your responsibilities. My advice to people preparin to come to Yankee look for a contributor here on this thread who does not Sugar Coat anything. Someone that will tell you the way it is. Relate with that person so you will have an idea of what to face when you get here. I do not agree with Oyewolejos but he sounds like one of the people that will tell you the way it is. I hate it when someone comes here to deceive everyone by saying "Yankee is the best place to be". I have never told anyone that and I will never tell anyone that because I know many people in Nigeria who are doin very well. I also know a couple of Nigerians who are in India of all places and doin very well. |
imperiouxx: Let it go guys. Djunit, it's annoying when someone is in his situation and heard such you said to him(though initially I thought the comment meant for another thread). Anthony, you won't face any obstacle in your life and no one will. You make it too.I guess I overreacted, I felt it was bad of him to call someone who was performing his duty a douche-bag, and that was the first thing I saw. Oga Mighty, I pray that everything you do would come out positive. I wish all of una luck |
the first thing I saw when I checked this thread was "douche bag" whoever called someone that knows himself. This man or woman was just doing his job! If he no do him/or her job well you know say he fit face sack or something worse than that? I pray for God to forgive you because if God no forgive you na so you go dey meet obstacle for anything you do. Something to send me to my hiding place for sometime. I hail una |
This time two years I dey on my feet smilin in front of that wowo oyinbo man and two years later I am still smilin... Na ONLY GOD.... |
Nice to hear about you, guy....II just think about the issue a few days ago. In my opinion, if you see work outside school do am...As long as you no lie for your application no body go do anything to you. The only time wahala go dey na if you go lie say you be citizen or immigrant like many people here dey lie. With the truth, if they have to punish any body na the employer them go punish. |
seedord247: 7.25 is federal not state. . . but school pay more than that. The only problem is the hours. But if you are using the option 2 of working outside the school, watchout for ICE oooo. Bcus dem bad gannnn this time.Get the job first before you worry about ICE lol....It is very hard to get a job outside school without proper documentation. To get proper documentation is another discussion for another day. BTW, e get one guy wey lose him passport and visa one time. Any body kno Wetin happen to am? |
seedord247: Pls what do u mean by genuine peeps?I was goin to ask the same question! These Naijaland people nor go kill me with laugh!!! All of una genuine na im una dey fast before una go for interview?? Make I stop and continue my laugh jare Congrats to those wey don get am. And for those wey never get continue tryin(hustlin) GOD Pass them |
rowlandoo: What can I tell my admission counselor , just a clue I will call her on the phone tommorrow .Tell her the truth. You cant get a date for the interview to make it on time. You need one additional week to get your visa. That is all you need to tell her |
rowlandoo: Its ok tanks bro I think will fil it in coz its not.a red flag though .The letter may be useful at the embassy but it is not at the POE.... I have seen people come in two weeks after school started and they had no problems gettin in. So get the letter for the embassy, but POE na piece of cake |
rowlandoo: Where u been brouvBros, I have been around ooooh.... I filled mine with every info they required, so, I nor go advice anyone to just overlook anything. Always better to fill out everything. You should have a convincin story when they ask what you have been doin. Your story should sound convincin enough for you the story teller before you tell it to those guys. I nor go advice you to lie but do what you have to for the story to sound VERY convincin.... I hail you |
Nairaland needs to get it together!!!! Why are you people splitting this thread in parts? Please find a way to merge them all, because not everyone is able to locate this thread because of the splits!!! Success to everyone |
[quote author=overrated]hey guys, i have my interview in 2 days and i have a prob.. My parents scanned a copy of their bnk statement to me cos i aint in naija.. does that matter? or shld i jst use my bank statement?[/quote Carry wetin you get go.... If they ask you why you don't have the original tell them a story like your parents sent it in the mail but it got lost so you asked them to scan and send you a copy cos it is urgent. People too dey fear for everything self |
O.D.B.:You're an ANIMAL!!!! douche BAG!!!! |
@kcluv2men The time you wasted in processing that community college could have been used to process a university!!! Many people have spoken about community colleges before. It is close to impossible to secure a visa with a community college. Hailings everyone! |
wow!!! Things don change any how for here ooooh.... I hail all of una and wish those goin for interview the best of luck |
Manliness:I had the same problem, two years ago, WAEC had a bogus DOB on my certificate. I thought of going to the interview with a fake result (i'm glad I didn't) I went with the original result with the wrong DOB and I was not even questioned about it. They questioned me more because my result looks fake!!!! my advice, just go with your WAEC cert, your birth cert and your passport, if they ask why the difference tell them it was an error from WAEC and it usually takes time for them to adjust it. Immigration will believe what is on your passport than any other document. Good luck bro |
Abi you want make I send Boko Harram
And Djunit, US isn't the same for everyone likewise Nigeria can't be the same for everyone. Ask those that got funding from school if they are facing hard problem. Struggling is all over everywhere but one struggling pay off faster and better than the other. I know that's why you are still hoping for a better day here without thinking of Nigeria and most of us too. One shouldn't expect things to start becoming sweet the first day. No success without prior struggle.
