Yes oooh it is NYC Baby! I got my ticket for $1,425 about 218,000 in Naira. I booked with Quartar but I understand that Turkish is cheaper.

@Oja P, My Waec cert too carried a different age but thew consular did not take notice of that, rather he was busy look at it with microscope if it was real or fake. If your not sure bout the neco go with the waec result. I will advice You swear an affidavit as to your real age so that you can show that to him and say it was an error in typing.

chiazogom I am really sorry to hear about your situation. All I can say is dont give up. Move on. If You can reapply do it. I want you to put God first in everything you do. I remember when I said on this thread that GOD PASS THEM and one idiot said I should go to God to give me Visa. I told God to shut the fool up and he did by Giving me the visa even when I could not answer all the questions I was asked correctly. I am sure that Idiot has been permanently been silenced by God because I have not heard of him for a long time!

Honestly on a G the US aint trying when it comes to fees for International student. The tuition are just ridiculous but when u take a critical look at it u still believe it still worth it. But there are still some ways guys go around the work thingy but those aint for a public forum like this.
Some people also try to get scholarship after their first semester while some change to schools that offers in-state tuition to international student. Another option is to go through a community college which is more cheaper than a university.
Trust 9jerians now they know their ways around issues like this

Yes you can transfer after your first semester to any of the listed schools above legally.But just make sure you have up to atleast 15 credits in your first semester.

After first semester? That is after paying about 20k inclusive of housing and feeding. I wish I could transfer immediately when I get there. Do you see the highlighted word? If there is a way to bypass it please drop the bomb!

Sparta, since you know bout all these schools you should be able to know too if it is possible to force a transfer in your first year, either by lying or by pretending to be sick. I believe there must be a way. If you know please lets know bout it

nairaspace I have been monitoring that site for about a week now and i haven't seen any date earlier than 17th of September, how do i apply for an earlier date?

What you got to do is leave your scheduled appointment and keep trying the site. I thought there was no way to get a date too myself after cancelling twice and had to get another appointment pin. When I got the receipt I made up my mind I was not going to schedule any appointment if I dont see a date for the month of July. I kept trying and got on the 26th so keep trying.

The Embassy does not know when your orientation starts. They only know the resumption date because it is written on the I-20 so just go there and do your interview. Best of Luck man but if there is a way to choose an earlier date I would advice you do it oooh My brother.

One is not sure of how fast you can get another emergency date, except maybe you'll try Lagos. You may just wait for Spring Admission, get your school to issue another I-20 and then apply then. I know the woman, she was the one that took our finger prints. She did not interview any one on Monday. Hope still dey brother, nor loose hope at all, I was denied UK visa in January and I thought life was ended not because I was not given the visa but because of what I had spent on it. I am speechless, not because I did not get the F1 and not because I got the F1. I am just speechless for no reason. first my case was kind of different because there was a big f**k up! the guy I gave money to pay my Visa application messed me up by telling me he lost it around 5:30 on Friday. I drove round Lagos looking for a place to pay my Visa fees but there was no way. By Sunday morning I got to ABJ. With no hope at all because there is no way I could gain entrance into the Embassy without the receipt. But when I got there I told the guy checking and he told me to go pay so long I had another money so I went to pay and got back. By this time every one I came before were already seated but I did not mind that at all. I waited patiently for my time. Let me forget this story and get down to the real thing.

I slept around 12 yesterday night because I was reading a lot of questions from past interviews and also studying about my school. After reading I went to sleep, I have to confess, I dont know how to pray that much but believe a lot in prayers that is why I was always telling the house to pray for me. I woke up as early as 4:16am and went straight to the bathroom and had a clean bath (Like Da Grin Said. I washed my head and my body so all the bad luck would flow away with the water) And by 4:40 I was all dressed, normal jeans, shirt and a shoe. So started reading again to refresh my memory and was even testing my self if I could remember what I had read the night before and if I was to score myself this morning before the interview, i would score my self 98%. So I could feel it inside of me that I was more than ready to face the slowpoke that would want to hamper my dreams. Let me just get into the details,

I left the bank and got back to the embassy by 8:42. So I was waiting patiently for my turn. A lot of people would go in and come out smiling and also some people would come out not happy, All I could say is God you must do this! So When i finally got into the Embassy and I was seeing all the consular and hearing the questions. One Man and his wife and child were denied by this Consular because in 2009 according to the consular the woman had applied saying she was going to see her uncle but this time around she said she did not know any one. So the guy denied them. The other consular by him mean while just gave a girl a visa. so the the guy that denied some one called the next applicant and the guy was a student. so he asked him every other normal questions. and got to the point where he asked for his SAT scores so he brought it out. The consular asked what his score was and he mentioned it but the guy apparently was not satisfied so he gave him the SAT scores to point to his scores believe me the guy could not. He was pointing to something else. So the Mean consular just denied him. The good consular had just issued another visa to another person.so the Good and Mean guy called the next people at the same time so two people went my prayer is God let me get the nice guy. but the mean Guy again showed why I call him mean denied the next person without wasting any time. This Good guy mean while was screaming why the guy in front of him had just given him a fake WAEC result. So that means denial. The first time I saw him deny someone. But like I Prayed to get the guy my prayers were not answered. The Bad consular called on the next person and that person was me! and this is what Happened.

My People, the guy with the fake result made my own interview stay longer as my WAEC result was checked with Microscope and everything but it came out clean. Na God do am. If I were to score my self in the interview I would score my self 21%, I could not believe I was the one talking, I let fear to control me and that is where I lost it but God was there for me. So House I thank every one that contributed and also prayed for me. Never take fake WAEC results there, they have samples with them, with statement of account you can pull if off because I believe they dont have idea what it looks like but the WAEC result they have a sample in every cubicle there. Na so God do am ooooh, By Next month I dey New York LIVE! The questions look much but believe me I did not stay more than Five mins and it took that long because he spent more than a minute looking at my WAEC result!

be it 5800, n96, n97 and even n900 all have no use as of now. So their prices don fall wella. What we are waiting for is the N8 which i hear has been pushed back.

I have like 7 different branches that accept payments numbers and hope to start calling them from 9 am tomorrow or earlier. I am praying i get to pay this money oooh

Dear djunit1, I relate with this trying situation u are in. Just relax and pray that one those UBA branches will open. I hope somebody would come up with one soon. If not, you can just go to the VFS website to obtain a list of banks selling the teller, and the go to UBA website branch locator to get the phone numbers of UBA banks, and tommorrow you just call those banks that collect the Visa payment to inquire if they open on saturday. I hope this is helpful. Do not forget to smile please.

House! I have lost my Visa application receipt and my interview is on Monday by 7:30 what do I do? I can pay another money but where do I pay to because banks dont open until 8:00? My Blood is boiling
