My People, Even though I still have about a month till I go for interview I just want to know what I should have and not have. Do I need to take my account statement? My father is my sponsor and I dont have current account would the embassy be interested in my statement of account and would the bank even give me a statement since I am using a savings account?

From what I heard, I understand that you can take the western union money transfer receipt to the Embassy for interview. But the people in UK trying to help you are lying as you dont need no stupid ID card to send the money. Mine was paid for me in The US and the person has not even seen me physically before. I only forwarded my details to him and he paid and the the next day my receipt was online to be printed. So look for someone else in the UK or US to help you pay if you dont want to go to Cotonou.

Mudley or what ever your name is. You are not ok! You think you give yourself visa? Have you seen any one on this thread crediting his or her self after getting a visa? It is only God that can give it to you. If god says no you can go to any Babalawo and the answer would still be no. Me I don know since say my Visa sure whether you like am or not because God has said I would get the visa.

Thanks think2ce I did not know there was a security or water mark on the WAEC Cert. With this info you have given me I would just take my original to the Embassy I know they have no choice but to give me Visa because God pass them!

Thanks all for the response. I paid my SEVIS through someone I dont know physically but I know his wife so I gave her the money and he paid for me on Wednesday and by Midnight today, they confirmed the payment and I can print my receipt.

People are getting my question wrong, I am going in as a transfer student and my school does not need either toefl or any exams. on My I-20 the DOB there is 1989, same thing with my passport 1989 but the only different one is my WAEC result which is carrying 1988. I am thinking of just doing an original like and the only thing they would change is the year and not tamper with the result. The result would stay the same but the DOB has to change as I dont want anything to bring wahala. But if there is a way I can go with a scratch card instead of the WAEC Cert I would really appreciate that. Can any one confirm this? Would they not ask for original if I present a scratch card?

@Freeman thanks for the response. I really need assistance because in as much as I believe a lot in prayers I like to do my things so that when I lie a lie detector would not be able to catch me. House if you know any one that can help me arrange 'Oluwole' WAEC cert that would only change my age from 1988 to 1989 please hola at me because I dont want to give those idiots at the embassy any reason to turn me down. I am more than certain to get this Visa so I want to do my home work properly.

People would condemn me for asking but the truth is when you have not done something before you would try your best to do it very well and not mess it up with your own hands. My Waec cert. indicates my age of 1988 but my passport says 1989. and I filled the school forms with the age on my passport. No my problem is would they ask for Waec cert because I am going in as a transfer student and did not do toefl because the school did not need it. House what is your advice on this. one of the guys I met one the schools forum on face Book just got his visa today and I am hoping that I would follow him soon. I have not booked appointment but I have paid the SEVIS fee since yesterday but it is not showing on their site yet, I hope this is not over staying because I gave the money to someone to pay for me.

Forgive me for all that note my real question boil down to the age thing and how long does it take for the SEVIS fee take to update to paid on their site?

@ Young M. I would seriously consider going to Abuja then. But I would like to know something, you were denied only to be back the next week? Do you have to pay another Visa Fee and Sevis Fee? If no what fees are you gonna have to pay again?

Thanks Nethacker for the info. I really appreciate. I live in Lagos so I would just book appointment in Lagos. I am yet to pay my sevis fee though I have already paid the visa fees. Is there a way to pay with an ATM card here in Naija or is there a way you can suggest?

How come it is only people going for masters posting their experience here? I have applied to a school for my BSC and my I-20 would be delivered to me on monday. I want to know if it is the same process they would ask or something different. I have paid the school deposit and would be getting all documents to back up my finances ready before the interview but I still need advice from people here.
