Gbawe:

Defend myself against who exactly? When decent folks engage me I will respond. I won't respond to rabid bigots who are only known for their hatred of anything SW here to the extent they are literally always the ones foaming at the mouth, on any issue to do with the SW, over so-called propaganda.
hey Gbawe don't drag us into any tribal conflict here I'm yoruba too but while making arguments you need to be realistic you know what the economic status of your state is like but only trying to put up a defence for that noise makers party who claim to be progressives but are not do you care to know what the performances of your ACN governors are in states like Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun as well only that of Lagos and Edo are really working that is why Ondo state don't find them reliable enough to vote for
Politics / Re: Osun, The Second Best Of The Least Poverty State In Nigeria – FBS by dlight1(m): 8:29pm On Apr 15, 2013
These ACN apologists and their gibberish one does not need any statistics to know this is not true. I'm very close to Osun people having been in Ife for the past four years their level of complacency is quite disturbing, what have Osun got to make them rank among the least poverty stricken states. What is the internal revenue like in osun state these are clear facts to adjudge the poverty level and what in particular has Ogbeni Aregbesola done that is so unique all you hear is O this O that the only meaningful achievement is the employment of 20,000 youths who are being paid #10,000

Women get their own peculiar wahala sha. Guys rock any day.
you are very right but I wonder why ladies pick on each other so easily and are so intolerant towards each other unlike guys. Ladies living together in hostels automatically becomes enemies full of hatred and dissent towards each other but this is very unlike guys

OsunOriginal: What is all these shout about xtian this xtian that? Why are xtians this bigoted and always concerned about the religion of the leader? If the muslims also come out to insist on a muslim leader, what will happen? The Boko Haram situation we are now presently facing in the north.

Xtians should focus more on their religion rather than politics here and there.
you seem rather confused with your post though I agree with the fact that we don't have to allow region to cause divide among us but that shouldn't warrant an attack on christians who are bearing their minds, and as for christians being bigot you seem not to know the meaning of the word "bigot" otherwise you will know it's a word that fitly describe the muslims we have in the north of course northerners will not even want a christian to be president for any reason, Kaduna state is an example of this madness by the northern muslims

That of OAU is not correct. Freshers don't pay more than #40,000 naira which include a #20,000 acceptance which was just forced on the students two sessions ago. Returning students pay as low as #6900 to like #14,000 depending on faculty

it's just a reflection of the minds of our youths in general, to be very candid every aspect of our lives seems to have be affected by this rot which has almost become a normal thing amongst us not even our worship places is left out of this mess. There is too much of hypocrisy and deception and love is just treated as an abstract thing just as it is otherwise why will one profess to love a girl today and by tomorrow it's another after all the sweet words and promises. What we call love usally is merely an expression of lust to fulfil our youthful deliquencies

not always so sister, it can also happen to the innocent ones, it's not predictable, adversities are not always a reflection of one's misdeeds

Ijeoma Okeke100: hell if i were a man i would rejoice if i got me a virgin to marry. that fool that dumped the girl had no intentions of marrying that babe in the first place. he just wanted to get into her panties and when he saw that he was gona have to commit in order to get inside her, he pulled a fast one. The virgin girl must never ever try please no man with her gift. she must stay with her prinscipls and wait for mr right coz honey blv me there are plenty of brothers out there who would kill to get a pure girl since it seems all the sister are getting spoiled to quick nawadays
virginity still remain a treasured gift for any lady across cultures and it will ever be. Purity before marriage helps to strenghten the cord of marriage as the couples learn to trust each other even in face of doubting circumstance, there won't be suspicion of any kind about they move or what they do while they are not together and once trust can be established any other thing is secondary.

I quite agree with you as regards medicine because the best teaching hospital but having 350 professors is no point to consider them the best. Things are quite easier in U.I compared to OAU and so the conferment of the title of Professor on lecturers is quite cheaper. Quite a lot of doctors in OAU who could have qualified for professor in U.I.
Politics / Re: Obasanjo And Tinubu: Who Is A Better Leader? by dlight1(m): 5:21pm On Feb 22, 2013
Both of them share certain traits but obviously Tinubu is a better leader any day any time. Obasanjo is just too self-centred even though he has all the charisma to rule he rather converted all his leadership quality to enrich himself and selfish politicians like himself. Tinubu's eight years achievement as Lagos state governor far outweighs what Obj was able to do despite the fact that the old ingrate failed to release allocation meant for Lagos state to Tinubu during this periods. Obasanjo was a president in error and he sure transferred the aggression of a prisoner in ruling the country.
even we in the south west here can't point out any tangible thing he did for 8yrs not even the state he came from aside the otta farm which is his personal asset 'what a shame'. Just 2yrs into Jonathan's administration a number of projects has been executed in bayelsa state and more will surely come. I don't think they should be compared the difference is obvious Obj is a shame to the south west and no wonder he had to lose disgracefully in the last election not just in his state but his polling boot too

Thank you sister but I guess the poster is right, so many women rather concern themselves about not been relegated to a ssecond wife place and care less if their husbands go about cheating since most women bear the notion that it's almost impossible for a man not to cheat

Psalm 90:12 is my favourite bible verse. "so teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
This scripture when properly applied will help to guide all of our actions reminding us we do not own our lives and that we would give account of how we live here on earth whether we do good or not there is a reward

what's it that is odd about a guy washing his girlfriend's panties as long as it's not the regular practice. If it happens in situations where the lady in question isn't disposed to do any work for instance, if sick or pregnant why not but it shouldn't be a normal affair. As for me I can do that for my wife and not a gf

Family / How Long Can Couples Cope With The Problem Of Barrenness by dlight1(m): 4:26pm On Dec 25, 2012
This is one of the issues that cause a lot of troubles in marriages, many times couples become restful after one or two years without an issue thus hitting up the relationship and some may have to wait so many years before a breakthrough but definitely would have gone through a lot of difficult times but how long can couples wait before giving up on the possibility of having an issue.
Romance / Re: Ladies, Ask Him Out This Christmas? by dlight1(m): 5:15am On Dec 25, 2012
As for me there no big deal about it, though it seems most proper that it happens the other way. Our society hasn't been fair enough to the ladies and so this has to a large extent being suppressing the wishes and emotions of ladies even in other issues and in a case like this such a lady can be assumed to be dissolute and this in turn makes such a lady less respected by such a guy
Romance / Re: Nigerian Men, So What If She's Not A Virgin? by dlight1(m): 4:39am On Dec 25, 2012
swtdarling: i wonder why women are more castigated for not being virgins than men.if a woman is called immoral for loosing her virginity,so should the man!
the reason is simple; there is no true test to confirm if a man is a virgin or not otherwise the same thing would have applied to the men's folk and that might probably be even worse than that of ladies

a lawless society like ours gives room for all sorts of terrorist group to operate; but these people are being sponsored by the big names in the north to destabilize the country; but I think the reason why it so easy to brainwash them in carrying out these evil acts is as a result of the high level of illiteracy that is why they can be easily deceived about being highly rewarded for harming their fellow humans in the name of religion cause we have muslims here in the south and they pose no threat to our peace and collective existence

huni_naija:

True, but those that have realised they've committed a wrong act and repent of such, should they then still be castigated and set aside is the question here?
of course not at least everyone has a past and the fact that a woman is not a virgin before marriage does not make her less worthy a good wife but the fact remains that virginity remains a treasurable thing especially for ladies
Romance / Re: Nigerian Men, So What If She's Not A Virgin? by dlight1(m): 11:19pm On Dec 22, 2012
huni_naija:

Pride in being a virgin? When certain women are even stigmatized for being virgins! The world in which we live in doesn't value anything moral anymore including virgins, even the men who want to marry so called virgins would be the first dis-virgin her without any form of commitment whatsoever if given the chance.
the fact that the society doesn't reckon with moral values does not translate to mean that moral decadence is the acceptable way of life. The fact that everyone indulges in an act does not make it the right thing to do. Nigeria as a country is so bedeviled be corrupt politicians this does not in any way justify that act we all still condemn it but almost all of them are rogues
Romance / Re: Nigerian Men, So What If She's Not A Virgin? by dlight1(m): 10:54pm On Dec 22, 2012
KateSpade: if you aren't a virgin, you are a loose woman. its a fact. no man wants to marry a trollop.

a woman's virginity is her special gift. it holds together all her morals and dignity.
a lady's virginity still remain a thing of pride and dignity in any society and we remain so regardless of time and civilization. Those who are not will definitely get at ladies like them who still remain virgins since the know it's value and it shouldn't be surprising that they get pent up to hear of any lady being a virgin. Someone who once had an enviable treasure and loses it will not be comfortable with the knowledge that there still exist around him someone who still possesses it.
