As a filmmaker, journalist and fan of Nigerian Athletics, I arrived at the World U20 Championships in Bydgoszcz in July with two broad goals in mind.

Firstly, I wanted to assess first hand the performance of Nigeria’s Junior Team, most of whom I had met a year ago at Top Sprinter Genesis, the inaugural edition of a Reality TV Athletics talent search in Nigeria which my company, Making of Champions, had produced. Secondly, and most intriguingly for me, I was keen to investigate the growing trend of Nigeria’s best athletes pitching tent for other countries, particularly the Kingdom of Bahrain.

I was looking forward to seeing Precious Moses again, the best young quarter-miler we had discovered across Nigeria at our Top Sprinter “Auditions” in 2015. He won the 400m in Enugu in 48 seconds, the fastest time across all five Auditions we held nationwide. He had been on the cusp of Nigeria’s youth and junior teams, even being called up a couple of times, only to be dropped at the last moment.

At Making of Champions (MoC), we were quite excited about Precious, perhaps one of the most special talents we had identified while traversing the corners of Nigeria to find talent. We had hoped to recruit him into one of our MoC Track Clubs, to be trained by the likes of Olympic Medallists Deji Aliu or Uchenna Emedolu. Unfortunately, while we were still figuring out the logistics and funding to bring him in, we received word that Precious had relocated to Bahrain, and the rest as they say, is history.

Within a year of arriving in Bahrain, Precious had received his Bahraini citizenship and would compete at the World U20 Championships for his newly adopted nation, just as another Nigerian-born athlete, Abbas Abubakar Abbas had done two years ago, when he won 400m Bronze for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

With conditional offer, you can apply for this scholarship. Put in your condional offer letter. You are Eligible and be shortlisted to write the Agip exam.

Of course, you have to fulfill your university English proficiency to study in the university.

Apply for admission this man and don't be lazy. U can get admission within 3 to 5 days in University of Salford and Derby or Coventry but aren't ranked high as much.

U should also try the Universities I listed in Page 1 (top ranked) but could take longer time.

well, it varies but Holland lists the top UK universities which they will give their graduates opportunity for work visa.

Who are those telling u lies and also u need to do research before believing people. They give u 4 to 5 months after your programme. Remember, u need to come back to Naija to fulfill your sponsors wishes.

Life in the UK is boring. Anyway, u will need to get a professional job of high salary to be eligible to get work visa to b able to stay.

There are lots of job opportunities so u can get with the right info. Calm down and focus on getting the scholarship. Live in the top cities and not villages and attend a top UK university.

Nigeria is sweet when u are rich so many of us didn't apply for permanent job and also we promised to come back to give back to Nigeria and fulfill our sponsors wish. My conscience will hunt me. Well, everyone is different sha. With that little time and with the weight of British pounds, u should make well over a million working temporarily.

Apply to a top UK university which is one year. Most Canadian universities are more than a year so you could be disqualified.
Wait, who told u there are no jobs in the UK and u cant work while schooling. Mehn, I am the one controlling jobs (no pride attached). I choose when and who I want to work with any time that is convenient for me (not clashing with studies).

Sometimes, u will be d one rejecting jobs when they call you becos u dont want to fail. U will be stressed with lots of course work and assignments with limited deadline and you cant copy and paste. So u would need sufficient time to get very good marks which is what u came for.

To qualify for 2016/2017 NAE Post Graduate Scholarship Award scheme, applicants MUST:

1. Possess a minimum of Second Class Upper division in any of the relevant disciplines from a recognised Nigerian university.
2. Have secured admission into a Nigerian or Overseas university for a one year Master’s Degree programme in any of the disciplines listed below.
3. Not be above 28 years of age by December 31st, 2016.
4. Have completed the one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.

Course of Study
Only candidates with offer of admission and BSc degrees in disciplines related to the following areas should apply;
• Geosciences
• Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, Subsea, Electrical/Electronics, Marine, Chemical)
