GOV AKEREDOLU RETURNS FROM MEDICAL VACATION, MEETS STAKEHOLDERS

••• Resumes Official Duties Immediately

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, has returned to the country from his medical vacation.

Governor Akeredolu returned to the country on Thursday, September 7, 2023.

Upon his return, Mr. Governor convened a meeting with key stakeholders from Ondo State in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, where he landed.

Stakeholders present at the meeting included members of the State House of Assembly, led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oladiji Olamide; Members of the State Executive Council, led by the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa; National Assembly members; led by Senator Jide Ipinsagba; and Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Working Committee, led by the Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin.

Other were: Youth groups, led by the Ondo APC Youth Leader, Comrade Olawande Ayo Wisdom; Former Local Government Chairmen, led by Hon. Augustine Ogbesetore; and members of the Foundation of Wives of Ondo State Officials (FOWOSO).

The wife of the Governor, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, also joined the Governor to receive the FOWOSO members.

During the meeting, Governor Akeredolu formally handed over his resumption letter to the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide, and also provided a copy to the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who was in attendance.

Governor Akeredolu said:”I came back yesterday, and as you know, it was a long journey. I decided that I must meet with you today. God has answered our prayers, and we give Him all the glory."

"I can assure you that our return is to the glory of God and the prayers of all of you here, and those who wished us well, I thank you very much. God has done what the majority of our people wanted. Majority of our people here knelt down and prayed for our return, and we have returned.

“So, because we had to land here in Ibadan first, I said I have to meet with House of Assembly members here. We are here, and we are back. I am back, and by the grace of God, I will be alive to complete for my full tenure in office.

“I want to tell you that I am back, and I will resume work immediately. This is my letter of resumption."

The Speaker, speaking on behalf of the lawmakers, expressed gratitude for the safe return of the Governor, stating that the Governor’s return to the country is a prayer answered.

Governor Akeredolu, while meeting with members of the State Executive Council, informed them that he had presented his letter of resumption to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.

He thanked the Executive Council members for their prayers and the good work they had carried out while he was away on medical vacation.

The Governor emphasised:”We are now back, and we give God all the glory. I have to let members of the House of Assembly know first that we have returned. As of today, I’m back as Governor of Ondo State. We thank God that I am alive and here. It’s your prayers that have kept us here. The office of the Governor has resumed full work."

Governor Akeredolu also held meetings with members of the National Assembly, including Senator representing Ondo North, Senator Jide Ipinsagba; Members of the House of Representatives representing Owo/Ose, Hon. Politics › Re: Wike: Judiciary Right When Obi Reclaimed Mandate As Gov, Wrong When He Lost by DMerciful(m): 5:39pm On Sep 08, 2023
Wike's analysis is kindergarten logic. He made it seems the judiciary is one robotic machine without thought.

Even the judiciary accepted they can be fallible and still be final.

The Supreme Court accepted that they're final, not because they're infallible but infallible because they are final. How many times have the judiciary reverses itself?

So they agreed that they can make mistakes but that you should take it like that.

You'd agree with me that Lawan judgment was a miscarriage of justice so the Supreme Court made a mistake

Politics › Re: How Judges Actually Dismissed Peter Obi Case by DMerciful(m): 5:33pm On Sep 08, 2023
Did they uphold Atiku’s case?
BuharisBoy:
This is Hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂

Obi: I won the election.
Inec: But you came third.
Obi: Let's meet in court.

Court: What brought you here Obi?
Obi: My lords, I am here to reclaim my mandate.

Court: What mandate and who took it from you?
Obi: I won the election but INEC took it from me.

Court: INEC why did you steal Obi's mandate?
INEC: My lords, Obi is just a joker and comedian. Kindly ask him for evidences to back up his claim.

Court: Obi who are your witnesses?
Obi: My obidients group, sirs. They said I won.

Court: Obidients, where are your evidences?
Obidients: On Twitter, we rained several millions of INSULTS, ABUSES & CURSES on Obi's opponents and their supporters, yet INEC didn't count them as votes.

Court: INEC why?
INEC: My lords, we only have powers to count votes cast at polling units, not curses on social media.

Court: Obi any other witnesses?
Obi: My pastors.

Court: pastors, what are your evidences?
Pastors: We have given millions of prophecies that Obi was the winner. But INEC refused to count our prophecies as votes.

Court: INEC why?
INEC: My lords, we only have powers to count votes cast at polling units, not prophecies from pulpits.

Court: Obi, so your own witnesses are the experts at raining abuses on social media, and experts at giving prophecies from the pulpits?
Obi: Yes daddies 😂

Court: Then your mandate is on social media and pulpits. Go and be the president of abuses and prophecies.

CASE DISMISSED 😂😂
Politics › Re: Greatest Task Before Obi Is How To Keep His Restless Followers by DMerciful(m): 5:32pm On Sep 08, 2023
Why not focus on Thuvb?
ChiefJusticeFuc:
The excorcised evil spirit of IPOB that was driven into Obi's presidential campaign who now aptly describe themselves as Obidient are a restless mob of attention deficit cretins.

Without a cause and or cult figure to follow blindly , they will roam restlessly to another cause.

That cause is always anti Nigeria and anarchiac .

Obi will need to keep them hypnotised to him and his dead and buried ambition or they "MOVE".

How long Obi can keep them in trance and awe of him is down to how long the Supreme court finally throws his shoddy claims into the dustbin of history where it belongs.

Post Supreme court ruling, then Obi will have a serious challenge at hand in keeping his Zombot followers glued to him for the next three years until the next election cycle.

The vultures are already circling over the Obidient movement and one big vulture waiting to pounce on the dying movement is the Iwanyanu led Ohaneze cultural group which will see an opportunity to galvanise the majority Ibo Obidient into a single opposition bloc ready for the highest bidder in the next elections.

Who takes over the Obidient mob post Obi, will have political bargaining power in the next coming elections in 2027.

It's for this reason, Ohaneze is speaking the language of the Obidient mob by calling for Kanu's release and amnesty for IPOB while playing opposition partisan and ethnic politics against a Yoruba led Tinubu govt.

All these are conjectures because no one can predict the next foolishness the Obidient restless spirit will latch on to.

Let me follow your logic just for the sake of argument, is IPOB the one that is incarcerated or Kanu?
ChiefJusticeFuc:
Can you answer that same question citing IPOB as an example ?

I am waiting.

Lets have a civil discussion.

Who designate someone a terrorist? The govt or the court?
ChiefJusticeFuc:
Nansense!

So you want the govt to release a known terrorist by claiming the killings in your yeast are being committed by criminals

How will releasing Kanu stop the criminals in your yeast ?
Politics › Re: Atiku, Obi Loses Three Days To Appeal, Request For Copies Of Appeal Court Judgem by DMerciful(m):
That is not the point here. The judges said they'd give them the judgement the next day so they can begin the process of filing their appeal. Three days and you've not given them.

This is against due process. Your narrow minded does not see how this is what is obtainable in our society. You apply for transcripts to be sent to foreign schools where you're seeking admission. The school says it will be sent in one week but one month later, they've not sent it and you miss the admission.

Not following due process affects everybody eventually
DodadaKoKigbe:
Lying to your supporters than you won when you clearly lost is the very definition of disrespect.
Politics › Re: If IPOB Is Not Responsible, How Then Is Kanu's Release Going To End Violence? by DMerciful(m): 5:08pm On Sep 08, 2023
Criminals can hide under IPOB to carryout criminality. However, the call to release Kanu is not based on what people are asking, its based on court judgement including the appeal court.

Likewise Bawa, Emefiele. Dont hold people perpetually, take them to court and if they're discharge and acquitted, release them. If they're guilty, take them to prison.

You can't be practicing democracy and not obey the rule of law
ChiefJusticeFuc:
Common sense is truly not common.

In one breath you defend IPOB blindly and claim they are a peaceful group only to turn around and say to the whole world that releasing Nnamdi Kanu will see to an end to the violence going on in your east.

Can you explain this daft logic for me?

INEC is a shameless and incompetent organisation.

How is that elections that you had four years and hundreds of billions of Naira to prepare for, courts are just rubbishing the results up and down.

Election Petition is different from normal court cases. Lets not give excuses for these structures of criminality.

Did you not watch the judgement where the judges said they'd get it the next day?
OlujobaSamuel:
Point of filing is not when you drop all evidence to back your case, point of filing is when you make intention of an intervention of the court known.
The court will give you a timeline to drop all evidence, respondents will answer, when you will appear to speak, blah blah blah.
Eg, you breach a contract btw yourself and mine, I have 5days to file for a breach, it doesn't mean I will be presenting or you will be defending the case in 5days as the person to hear us might not even be available within that 5days, but I must show intent, so it won't be an after thought.
