Politics › Re: Name One Ibo Who Has Fought For These by DMerciful(m): 9:42pm On Aug 04, 2023
You that has fought, do you have a restructured Nigeria?
AntiMarxist:
1. Restructuring back to true federalism away from the parsitic centrist arrangement.

2. Fought for the return to democracy .

Protip: you can't because not one Okoro has ever advocated for any of these.

Even their Biafra was none of these as it was a parasitic centrist military tyranny leaching on the annexed SS.

Nigeria does not have democracy either. Civilian rule is different from democracy
Throwback:
ECOWAS must do all to ensure that Democracy is restored to Niger.

Did he invite ipob? He only threatened in reaction to the way Igbos were treated in the election. Its not as if he has executed the threat. He is being treated unfairly

Una don forget Atiku? How Obi displaced Atiku in your consciousness is amazing
Curse777:
cool

The difference between Tinubu and Obi

Obi would rather save money in cormercial banks while his state doctors and lecturers go on strike

Tinubu would not get Federal allocation but still generate revenue, use that revenue to invest in infrastructure like BRT, Lekki Free trade zone, Lekki deep seaport, Roads and many more

Tinubu appointment spreads accross all State of the Federation

She was given option of N150k fine or thereabouts. Include it in your writeup.
Zxcvbnmghtr:
Things have changed o! Be careful don't allow yourself to be made scape goat like the Igbo lady who has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for foul language against a Yoruba lady due to her anguish over Peter Obi's loss.

If you are charged to court to prove what you wrote up there. That's when you will start crying and begging.

Things has changed o. Toh! A word is enough for the wise. Don't be a fool because of Peter Obi who at anytime can join APC.

Politics › Re: Dr Bosun Tijani's Old Tweet Surfaces by DMerciful(m): 9:26am On Aug 03, 2023
Obi is always the standard of measurement
seunmsg:
To be fair to him, he advocated for people who have things to offer and are willing to serve to be allowed to serve irrespective of party affiliation since public service belongs to no one’s father.

Digging deep to bring out a 2019 tweet where he said something not so nice about Tinubu just to blackmail him is nonsense. A lot of those that accused Peter Obi of being a failure while serving as governor are now telling us he’s the best thing to happen to humanity after slice bread. People change their opinion about others with time and it’s no big deal.

So, it’s nothing. The tweet means nothing. He will serve as minister and contribute his quota to the development of the country. We want people who can deliver result in government and not asslickers. You all should learn to deal with it.
Politics › Re: Okoye Blessing Nwakaego Jailed 3 Years For Cyberstalking Eniola Badmus by DMerciful(m): 7:31pm On Aug 02, 2023
You have to mention Igbo?
plaindealer:
Cyberstalking, cyber harassment, bullying and intimidation is getting out of hand and the government must do something about it.

Just imagine some igbo people still raving mad and constituting a nuisance just because they cannot tolerate and respect other people's rights to freedom of choice and association.

Must every Nigerian vote for obi and must you commit felony crimes because obi lost an election?

Sad..
Politics › Re: Why Were Casualties Of The January 1966 Coup Northerners And Yoruba? by DMerciful(m): 1:58pm On Aug 01, 2023
Better for the Igbos to go so you guys can have peace
Felimax:
This very fact holds the reason why other regions remain skeptical on relinquishing power to this people.

Apart from the coup another one is the civilian war and now the agitation to break out.

These people do not understand the reason why the FG declared that war No Victor No Vanquished.

Our lack of historical fact it's a problem.
Politics › Re: Why Were Casualties Of The January 1966 Coup Northerners And Yoruba? by DMerciful(m): 1:58pm On Aug 01, 2023
Why not push for the Igbos to go so the rest of you can have peace?
Belafonte:
The masterminds and executors of the first ever coup d'etat in Nigeria claimed that they chose to take power from civilians because of mismanagement of the country. The government at the time was made up of representatives from all regions in Nigeria.

So, I've been pondering, there were quite a number of casualties, notable ampng which are:

1. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa (Prime Minister (Northern))
2. Ahmadu Bello (Premier Northern Region)
3. Ladoke Akintola (Premier Western Region)

There were other Premiers and in fact, the President was from neither North nor West but from a particular region.

The list of those spared are:
1. Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe (President (Eastern))
2. Arthur Orizu ( Leader of the parliament - our equiv. of senate president) (Eastern)
3. Michael Okpara (Prwmier Eastern Region)
4. Aguiyi Ironsi (Who took over after the coup grin) (Eastern)

The coup plotters themselves were from a particular region, coincidentally(?) the same as the one where the Nigerian president and spared Premier was from. I'm just wondering what could have been the reason leaders from certain regions were killed and leaders from the region where the coup plotters were spared. Is it that northerners and westerners are poor leaders naturally and leaders from the coup plotting region are sound and effective? This is just me being curious. If the above is true, can we then say that this region with naturally sound leaders is head and shoulders above the rat of Nigeria in terms of development and advancement? If, however, this region is relatively indistinguishable from other regions in terms of economic and social metrics can we infer that the reason for them killing and sparing certain people was perhaps motivated by other factors?

Just musing here tbh. Anybody with answers that can do justice to my curiosity should please come to my aid. Thanks

Hatred for Igbos is indeed a uniting factor
Rolings:
Na this nonsense statement dey give igbos and Obidients hard on?....it makes all of you spewing this trash look very stupid.

Just so you know....the fuel price is going higher

You see this as defence of Tinubu because you see every statement made as an argument.....and believe as an igboman you must win an argument....(we other Nigerians have since realised this and dont get into discussions with igbos again...we simply present facts to you and allow you come up with different interpretations that suit your narratives)

This isnt an argument. Its a discussion based on FACTS and not EMOTIONS.
Politics › Re: How Do Save N1T And Still Borrow To Pay Palliatives? by DMerciful(m): 8:56am On Aug 01, 2023
Cost avoidance is different from savings.
No money was saved from subsidy rather cost was avoided
Rolings:
Some of you, out of hatred for the government have lost your sense of reasoning and behave so foolishly that one wonders if loss of election means loss of sanity.

The money was saved after subsidy removal.

The loan was taken before subsidy removal by the previous government.

You may argue that be could have returned that loan but that is if we don't need the loan....we sure do need it

Politics › Re: Tinubu Should Consider Regional Ministers by DMerciful(m): 9:54pm On Jul 29, 2023
The govt is overbloated already besides Tinubu has 2 months to vacate that seat
AuschwitzPrefec:
By Regional ministers, I am implying that ministries like Works , Education and Agriculture to have 6 ministers each representing each zone.

For example, there should be a Minister for Works for the SW, SS, SE, NE, NW , NC.

Same should apply for Education, Agriculture, Transportation and Health.

Other non viable ministries must be abolished and this new ministerial portfolios will fill the vacuum.

What is the purpose of this thread?
Nvestor02:
1967 is a black year in our history.
When a nation declares war on each other,
Both of them are forcing us to be part of them.
Why can't they leave us to be neutral?

Before we know it
We see our territory on the map of Biafra.
We see Biafran Soldiers matching inside our land.
Giving our people the tag they don't want to take

Chasing people to places where light can't enter
Looting all our banks to buy more ammunition
Our hard-earned money is gone
Taking away our freedom to get their freedom
This is not a war of justice.

They call us their brothers.
But they are giving us the biggest pain.
Killing our people who want to be neutral
Are we now a conquered people?

Our similar lifestyle makes us suffer more
Green and white soldiers believe we are truly part of the enemy.
While Biafran Soldiers believe we are not trustworthy
They both have big interest in our land
And little feeling for our wellbeing.

Our region, which was once peaceful,
Is now full of pain and agony.
All mothers are sad.
Our children are crying.
Everybody loses loved ones.
Has anybody suffered from a war they knew nothing about like this before?

Our loyalty stands with the green and white soldiers.
Only their victory can give us back our land.
If they lose, the enemy has won.
If they win, we have learned a great lesson.
We won't let anybody decide our fate for us again.

If Tinubu refused to leave, he'll be dealt with. Nigeria democracy is not child's play

Sooo why didn't they remove those who overthrew duly and popularly elected governments while in control of ONLY the army. In this case ALL enforcement agencies are headed by Tinubu boys who revere him for bringing them from obscurity
