Third mainland bridge is officially called Ibrahim Babangida bridge but nobody calls it that. Nobody will call second Niger bridge Bubu bridge grin
Politics › Re: Judiciary Will Set Nigeria Ablaze: Lawyer Fumes At Judges Absence From Suit. by DMerciful(m): 9:16pm On May 26, 2023
If the judge feels he cannot touch it because its before a higher court, he should dismiss it, not do hide and seek.

Nigeria is really in a terrible state as everybody seems to be corrupt.
fergie001:
The problem is that you are too emotional, I am not decent but only tell it like it is. The person they fined N40m, will you pay it for him?

1. The Judge cannot touch an issue that is already before a Higher Court.

2. The petitioners have no locus standi. They are not Candidates in the election and cannot file the suit.

3. These are pre-election matters why bring it here after an election has been won and lost?

4. This is one of the grounds at the Tribunal so why bring it before a lower Court? The suit is frivolous, unmeritorious, and ought to be dismissed with heavy costs.

The only thing the Court will ask them is to establish that they have the locus?

Decency is to know when to do the right thing, follow the proper channels and know when to beat a retreat. To bamboozle our Courts with all manner of suits is very unnecessary.

This Ooni of Ife is a young and liberal king that mingles and moves freely with all.

He does not care how you shake him so far you are a VIP.

But in his palace, you must postrate and get the 'Oba n ki o' response.

All the past VIP visitors to the palace have postrated including OBJ with exception of Pastor Adeboye and incumbent Governors and President.

Even you that appears like someone with decent standards endorces indiscipline and impunity. Nigeria is a sorry country. Imagine a judge in the UK not showing up twice!

Not upto 4%. That 8million votes was allocated by INEC. Tinubu did not get more than 6 million
KingOfIsoko1:
This is not a popular choice by any means of the word popular, of the over 200m Nigerians, and the over 87m eligible voters 8,794,726 only voted BAT.

This is Just 4% acceptance, May Nigeria see better days ooo.

Today's ruling has nothing to do with Obi
hisexcellency34:
With today's ruling by the Supreme Court dismissing PDP's suit, is there any hope for Labour Party and Peter Obi at the Supreme Court especially after Tinubu must have been sworn in as President?

Are you saying because the judge does not want to fine them thats why they asconded?
fergie001:
The petitioners will just get a very heavy fine, this suit is frivolous.

You've got it coming
Esinwaju:
You see? You are so pumped up on emotion you could not even digest my post. I said Tinubu MOSTLY succeeds where he is MOSTLY expected to fail. You already had your wins pre-election. Post-election period is defeat season for you.
Politics › Re: Court Dismisses Suit Seeking To Stop Tinubu's Inauguration, fines petitioners by DMerciful(m): 3:25pm On May 26, 2023
Nobody wins all the time. What will fall him will probably be little but he will be removed
Esinwaju:
Your sense of deduction is definitely not bright enough from what you just put up there. There is a reason people like are always told to pay attention to events but you choose to go with emotion instead. Let me even pretend for a second that you know what you are talking about. Tinubu as a man has mostly succeeded where he is mostly expected to fail. I don't have to tell you how severely shattered your delusional hope will be.
Politics › Re: Lack Of Trust Tearing Up Nigeria, Says Edwin Clark by DMerciful(m): 3:23pm On May 26, 2023
No nationality has built more bridges than the Igbos. Igbos is the only nationality where the actions of few is used to punish the whole.

Nobody has said that they'll not vote for Fulanis because of the actions of Fulani herdsmen and bandits killing across Nigeria but you hear we will not vote for you because of IPOB.

It has never happened that Igbos clash with other nationalities in Igbo land but people will say you don't build bridges, just because we reject Bubu and APC who we know will fail and they have
Skankamola:
Im not sure exactly what policies you refer to, or who you mean when you say "they treat igbos..."; However, I think Igbos have been in top positions of power to a large extent.
In terms of infrastructure, sea ports, rail way lines, the igbos dont have any worse than the niger deltans, the warri and calabar ports are almost non-functional for whatever reasons, the govt has always been bad managers of businesses. Lagos port has particularly been more active even in the past, perhaps it has a more favourable seascape compared to others.
Igbos should be building bridges accross the niger and up north, rather than fighting everyone.
Politics › Re: PDP Went To Court But It Is LP Obidents That Were Praying For PDP To Win! by DMerciful(m): 2:48pm On May 26, 2023
The Igbos operates from history. We have different strategies especially for hostile environments

Is there anyone supporting Peter that school passed through,

There is no wealthy business man that has more liquidity than asset .. its shows you know nothing about the study of Business.

Politics › Re: Court Dismisses Suit Seeking To Stop Tinubu's Inauguration, fines petitioners by DMerciful(m): 2:36pm On May 26, 2023
I don't expect this judgement to go otherwise, however, the presidential election petition tribunal is a different ball game. Tinubu would be removed once it is proven that he did not actually won but was rigged in by INEC and nothing will happen.
Thegamingorca:
Which ones remain?

Are you seeing that judge providing alternative meaning to his decision by saying doing otherwise would destroy the country. And he cannot do what they want for fear of putting the judiciary in a ridicule? What's more important, a ridiculed judiciary or Nigeria becoming a failed state.
Politics › Re: Lack Of Trust Tearing Up Nigeria, Says Edwin Clark by DMerciful(m): 2:29pm On May 26, 2023
If you're a honest man you'd know that the current policies of govt is as though the war has not ended. They treat Igbos with distrust and expect the Igbos to be subservient.

Some even boast that the Igbos can never be president because of the uncivil war.

But the Igbos are survivors, they'd thrive when others make policies to affect them but instead are affected the most.
Skankamola:
One who listens to you would think only igbos where killed up north in past. Igbos are not the only victims, your egocentricity is your greatest undoing. The war ended long ago but you igbos are still stuck in time. Make use of what you have today and leave the past behind. Yes ipob has mislead igbos.
Politics › Re: Court Dismisses Suit Seeking To Stop Tinubu's Inauguration, fines petitioners by DMerciful(m): 2:25pm On May 26, 2023

You tie success and wealth to buildings, thats why i said to look but not to see!.

Wealth is now in bank accounts that are online...unlike before where you cannot run with your cash.

If you invest with the fear of losing it if war breaks out, you cannot be successful with such mentality. If an igbo man has 1billion in his accounts both home and foreign and loses his 200 million naira house/shop if anything happens, he still won because he did not have 1 billion before. Think of the cup as being half full. Igbos remain the biggest beneficiary of Lagos!
chidiokay:
Biggest beneficiary without C of Os pele, you are investing and building in another mans land and you think you are doing him .. dey play

Go n ask Nigerians ghana sent back home, go and ask yorubas that got kicked out of the North in the 90's my uncles had to start all over

After the Biafra war, igbos got back there properties, igbos got lucky ones don"t mean they will get lucky twice, we pray for peace

half word is enough for the wise
Politics › Re: Court Dismisses Suit Seeking To Stop Tinubu's Inauguration, fines petitioners by DMerciful(m): 2:17pm On May 26, 2023
Tinubu will win here and there but will lose few major ones that would see him removed!
Politics › Re: Lack Of Trust Tearing Up Nigeria, Says Edwin Clark by DMerciful(m): 2:17pm On May 26, 2023
Igbo hate preceeds independence. Go and listen to the speeches of Amadu Bello. Go and read about the killings of Easterners in the North in the 40s, 50s, 60s, 80s. There was no IPOB then, was there?

Go and read the submission by Achebe, before he died. There was no IPOB then.

The way you guys mention IPOB, an outsider would think that its another name for bandits or Fulani herdsmen or bokoharam
Skankamola:
So what exactly has ipob achieved besides creating hatred and allienating igbos from their neighbours?
Politics › Re: Lack Of Trust Tearing Up Nigeria, Says Edwin Clark by DMerciful(m): 2:03pm On May 26, 2023
You wanna break out of a country and think you can do it by being friendly? You have no sense of history or happenings around the war.

You think you're doing Igbos a favour to allow them go, who is complaining of the Igbos everyday?
Skankamola:
If they had supported the referrendum clause and the niger delta republic, there would have been no need for the 1967 war you pointed to, stop deceiving yourselves about the war. The war was by and large the result of your greed.
At the present day, ipob is not the first or only group agitating for a break, but there is no other group that went about insulting and promoting hate against other ethnic groups like nnamdi kanu and his ipob. Until you learn to seperate wheat from the chaff will never achieve anything tangible. Ipob is taking igbos backwards with their unrealistic agenda but you are just too blind to see that.

Those who look in one direction have their neck stiffed in that direction.

This judgment is a win for Tinubu and Obi because Tinubu's entire counter petition is based on Obi joining LP late
sreamsense:
It was a joint case, the merged LP and PDP together, it applies to both of them. The lawyers have just scammed Obi and Atiku financially, are you saying that those lawyers including that Okonkwo quoting law up and down have not heard about "meddlesome interlooper" before in political cases they have handled before that they needed to wait for chief Lateef Fagbemi of APC to school them which the judges even admitted to dismiss LP/PDP on this case. We told them, but they are too shallow minded to grasp the message. You will be surprised by the time Obi paraded AWS engineers, IT and forensic experts, they may be made in Aba expert who are just emotional ranters. At last all cases will be dismissed because they lack merit

You know you're deceiving yourself but continue
BRIMBRAM:
If truely Peter Obi won and was denied victory. It won't be a matter of "Go to court" there would have been crisis here and there. A reaction by Nigerians for being denied their choice of president. Infact it would have been impossible for the gubernatorial election to hold.

But every where remained so calm. Not even in Rivers State where it is alleged that there was massive rigging for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It's really because, they can't stomach a Yoruba man by the name Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu becoming Nigeria's President.

If were to be Shekau that will succeed Buhari they would not make as much noise as they are.

As long as it is not Tinubu. They will be so happy. But the man has been so kind to them. Very kind to a fault infact.

Well it is no more than the diseases of the heart called ENVY, HATE, PRIDE AND SELF DELUSION that has made them so sick.

One thing I love Tinubu for is, his countless times of always proving his oppositions wrong. grin

He will proof you all wrong again and again. While you will cry again and again. grin
