Politics › Time Running Out For APC by DMerciful(op): 7:57am On Apr 10, 2023
From my calculations, APC needs to file their counter petition on April 11 or risk the election being upturned. Mar 21-April 11 is 21 days!

Will they file tomorrow April 11th?
Politics › Re: Obidients Hate Soyinka But Like Obasanjo Who Chased Coward Ojukwu Away To Exile by DMerciful(m): 7:51am On Apr 10, 2023
We cannot live our lives based on events of 50yrs ago!

Anybody that is not in support of the new Nigeria that is POssible is against us
Peacemaker5128:
Wole Soyinka, the man who spent two years in Jail for supporting Biafra is now the enemy and Obasanjo, the man who intercepted Biafra & chased ojukwu to exile is a hero to obidients. Exact traits of propagandists. They hate the truth from anyone when it opposes their agenda.
Politics › Re: 5 Years Before Going Abroad Doctors Bill: A Clinical Stitch In Time by DMerciful(m): 7:40am On Apr 10, 2023
You know nothing John Snow!

Parents are open to their children traveling abroad and break cycles of poverty rather than remain and be killed like Dr Chinelu
FreeStuffsNG:
You do not need to study medicine to know how to kill and if you kill people out of professional negligence, it is you who will be liable.

The question is not whether you can travel or not, it is when and what category of doctors should be legally permited. The Cuban doctors are among the least paid in the world, they stay back for their parents and nation. If you can not stay your first 5 years then you are either from a dysfunctional home, unpatriotic or both.

No young man or woman just finishing school will ever want to travel several thousands of kilometres away from loving and caring parents! This is the bitter truth both dysfunctional parents and children from dysfunctional homes are scared of swallowing and the taxpayers can not be at the receiving end for ever.
Politics › Re: A Letter To Nairalanders: What I Learnt From Bat Victory by DMerciful(m): 7:24am On Apr 10, 2023
Do not celebrate successful rigging yet, there's a high chance of it being upturned
Natajo2021:
Fellow Nairalanders,
I am writing to you today to share with you the valuable lessons that I learned from
the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigeria President elect. his recent experience of achieving a worthy victory.
BAT victory has taught me some important things about life that I believe are worth sharing.

First and foremost, the victory has taught me that hard work and perseverance pay off in the end. Achieving success is not easy, and it often requires significant effort and dedication. However, if you keep pushing forward and don't give up, you can achieve great things. I learned that even when things get tough, it's important to keep going and believe in yourself, and never get distracted by the antics of fake prophets, GO, critics and enemies.

Secondly, the victory of BAT has taught me the importance of having a positive mindset (Emilokan). Our thoughts have a powerful impact on our lives, and having a positive outlook can make all the difference in achieving our goals. I learned that focusing on the positive aspects of a situation and believing in one abilities helped one to stay motivated and confident, even when faced with challenges.

The victory of BAT has also taught me the importance of teamwork, negotiation, inter-ethnic consideration, consultation and collaboration. While individual effort is important, working together with others can lead to even greater success. I learned that by collaborating with others and leveraging their strengths, we can achieve more than we could on our own.

Lastly, the victory of BAT has taught me that success is not just about the destination but also about the journey. While achieving your goals is important, it's also important to enjoy the process and learn from his experiences along the way. I learned that by staying present and embracing the journey, we can find joy and fulfillment in our endeavors. May the administration of BAT renew our hope as a Nation.

In conclusion, this worthy victory of BAT has taught me some important life lessons that I will carry with me for years to come. I hope that the lesson and experience from BAT victory can also inspire you to pursue your goals with determination, positivity (Emilokan), collaboration, and appreciation for his political journey and ascendancy to the exalted seat of power.
Thanks for reading.
Sincerely,
Omoluwabi

You have to submit your counter petition on Tuesday 12th April, Monday 11th is holiday. You're out of time to do nonsense
LegendHero:
Then Tinubu will invade the other party too.

If he can invade Labour Party and change your chairman just sonsudden while he is in France who tell you he can’t invade the other party?

Since you guys must blame Tinubu for everything, I’ll also join in blaming him.
Politics › Re: The Hypocrisy Of Prof. Yemi Oke by DMerciful(m): 4:02am On Apr 10, 2023
Election was rigged blatantly and Bubu did nothing
MetaPhysical:
Chimamanda is insane for writing head of another government to take action against the government of Nigeria because polls said Obi will win, but after election Tinubu was winner.

Elections determine electoral victory, not polls.

She deserve to be denigrated. I dont care how important she is in literary circles, we have Nigerians that have achieved far better than her, and are incognito. Tell Ngozi Adichie to not end up frustrated and disillusioned like her mentor late Achebe.

Always blaming other people for our failures.

In 1830, our kings and chiefs were selling their own people especially those they considered troublesome to whites in exchange for mirrors, salt, guns etc. In contemporary times, our politicians are selling the citizens indirectly by stealing their commonwealth and leaving the country underdeveloped so that they're forced to emigrate.

You keep blaming the whites for your failures. 400yrs of slavery? Has to be a choice- Kanye West

Whether you consider good or bad, its affects everybody. So if you think the Igbos will suffer because they don't owm political positions then you're new in Nigeria
ahiboilandgas:
how is it bad? Any doctor that want to go abroad to work should attend private university! We can't used put tax to train you for free then you vamose to UK to work. Any JAPA doctor can pay tuition fees even in public university and free to JAPA. 5 years is too kind supposed to be 10 years if we must train you.

Bad governance affects everybody so leave the Igbos alone. Some Igbos voted for APC, some voted for PDP and some voted for LP so whats Igbo this Igbo that everyday?
Mraphel:
Why is the Igbo interested in Nigerian politics? Why is peter obi contesting the position and even going to court to steal mandate.

Everyday Igbo this, Igbo that, una nor dey tire?

The people of Katsina playing national politics,
how are their lives better than Anambra
or Enugu people?
Lokojaman:
Our southeast ppl have to play politics the way it should be played, not all these minority, tribal, christian politics that Peter Obi did with the general elections in February. National politics isn't Anambra politics. Our eastern brothers need to know that they've to reach out to groups, regions and other people of different and diverse orientations ,worldview and religions. They can't just assume that they can play national politics by just getting people of similar religions, tribes and view to vote for them and then expect to win. That's nothing short of a pipe dream. They should first show readiness to be pan Nigerians , and ready to integrate and also accept/believe in diversity of the nation. Somebody like peter obi should go back to the drawing board and see where a and how he got it wrong and stop fanning embers of hatred and violence

Amaechi practically avoided his party after losing the primaries. He even threw a jab at Tinubu when he had the chance to speak at the venue of the primaries.

How will the political class get tired when they're benefitting disproportionately from the status quo?

We're the victims of this contraption and we unfortunately are the foot soldiers used to enforce the indivisibility of the contraption.

Its only a matter of time
LegendHero:
Do you have the power to effect the separation?

Yoruba nation tried clamoring for it and we know how it ends. IPOB also tried same thing and we know how it ends.

The only people that can divide this country are the political players, until they get tired together, this country will be indivisible.

Politics › Re: Charly Boy Said Wole Soyinka Can Never Be The Man Achebe Was by DMerciful(m): 2:40pm On Apr 08, 2023
We're saying the same thing. Since its obvious no country can make progress when tribalism reign supreme, why do we pretend to want to build a country.

I have been consistent in calling for separation because i dont see any other way out and life is too short to use it to experiment the raising of a dead horse
LegendHero:
I own my tribal stuff like a man and you won’t see me saying I’m not.

But the issue here is some hypocrites from Ibo land who are hardcore open tribalist but still posture as a non tribalist. Why the hypocrisy?

This Charley Boy once called Fani Kayode a tribalist, and I laugh hard. Is Charley Boy not a tribalist?

Same as Peter Obi who is a religious bigot. Rather than owning up to it like a man, he goes about lying that he is not one.

Politics › Re: Charly Boy Said Wole Soyinka Can Never Be The Man Achebe Was by DMerciful(m): 2:23pm On Apr 08, 2023
You've really gone tribal but against separation so that everybody returns to their tribal enclaves.

You cannot approbate and reprobate at the same time
LegendHero:
People should see the hypocrisy of the Ibo people.

They will lie that they are supporting Obi not because of tribe but yet anytime a Yoruba man speak against their candidate, they start accusing the person of tribalism and etc.

Why did Charley boy compare Soyinka to Achebe if not for tribalism? The hateful Chimamanda also mentioned he supported Obi because he is Ibo but if a Yoruba man says that we won’t hear word online again.

In all this, I’ve not seen the useless Falz and Marcaroni come out to condemn this assault on our living legend, but the useless guys will be online to cry about tribalism when a Yoruba celeb give it to these guys hot.
