Politics › Re: Seun's Name Is Being Draged On Social Media by DMerciful(m): 7:46am On Mar 22, 2023
Why are you taking panadol on behalf of Seun's headache?
Iamgrey5:
Seun despite your best efforts to support the Obidient movement particularly Gbadebo Rodes Vivour towards the governorship Election in Lagos State, you are being attacked for a simple Advertisement placed on your platform that painted Labour in a bad light.

Seun you need to learn that the thugs that attacked the Igbos at the election on Saturday March 18th don't use Nairaland. Hence, they were not necessarily influenced by the advertisement. In addition, there were more provocative message littered everywhere on the social media spaces before and after the election.

Besides that advertisement slogan is not different from the slogan used by Godwin Obaseki in 2019 in Edo State. The slogan used was "Edo no be Lagos". The slogan was to antagonize Tinubu who is seen as a godfather in Lagos to stay away from Edo State internal politics.

The slogan "You can't rule Lagos from Anambra" is similar to the one mentioned above because it is meant to Antagonize Peter Obi the presidential candidate of Labour party whose Election victory at the presidential poll is main reason Gbadebo stood a chance at the governorship election. It's not meant to Antagonize all Igbos.

Seun even if you felt you were somehow responsible for what we saw on Saturday in Lagos, you shouldn't have openly taken responsibility. That is a terrible public relations disaster. You should have just donated the revenue made from the advertisement and move on.

Here is a link to video made by a vloger on facebook causing and insulting Seun because of the apology he made:

Politics › Re: There Should Be A Federal Law That Says, U Can Only Vote In Your Home State. by DMerciful(m): 7:16am On Mar 22, 2023
A very low thought process
zomby:
This law will affect everybody in the country positively; it will reduce the election violence, tension and also motivate all Nigerians to contribute towards the development of their various home states.
Example: I can’t be born in Kwara state and want to vote in Ogun state. Impossible. Everyone should return to their home state to cast their votes during elections.

I’m confident that the northerners will embrace this law from day 1, while the Yorubas as usual will go for whatever makes the country stronger. But for some reasons, something tells me that the igbos may have an issue with this law. Why?

Politics › Re: Full Text Of Peter Obi ‘s Election Petition. by DMerciful(m): 6:50am On Mar 22, 2023
Obi is not the one teleguiding the case, i dont think thats his area of competence, he has SANs to do that. So saying he is clueless is you just being mischievous.

What amazon can testify to is if the data is altered because you cannot totally delete something from the cloud. A court order on Amazon to confirm certain information will definitely be honored
LegendHero:
Peter Obi is even more clueless than I thought. So his ground of discrediting INEC accreditation figure is that he obtained it from Amazon cloud.

What they will first ask him is that “How did you obtain the record in the first place”. Did he obtain it through INEC themselves coz I am 100% sure that Amazon will not legally reveal their data to third party.

So how do you subpoena someone who did not legally release the data to you in the first place? It’s like he is even more daft than I thought.

With regards to the rest of the jargons, all the case file of Tinubu with regards to Chicago issue is online and it is very evident that he was never convicted of any crime. USA life no hard, if Tinubu was convicted, anyone can easily check the public record and find his name.

So how do you disqualify a presidential candidate that was not convicted?
Politics › Re: PLP Want To Play Digging Game by DMerciful(m): 6:41am On Mar 22, 2023
We're not arguing it because I dont know the facts...the court would decide
helinues:
It's time to clear the ignorance of that baseless discussion.

Tinubu wasn't even involved directly in the drug case, as at that time, he was more like an exchanger. Naira to USD, USD to Naira. Anybody can be your clients, how they source their money is none of your business.

The money forfeited was for the drug money deposited into Tinubu's account as an exchanger which was meant for a client.
Politics › Re: 2023: The Moment Amaechi Said 3rd Party, (LP, Peter Obi) Won The Election. by DMerciful(m): 6:33am On Mar 22, 2023
Obi included that he won in the prayers. They are 5 of them...the 5th one is that he got majority votes
obi4eze:
Of course LP won the election but Peter Obi isn't talking about the rigging in his prayer yet. He went for the jugular first. He started from the root first.

Of course INEC had started clearing their tracks and part of the reason for the reconfiguration was to change the data to suit Tinubu's fraud. We all know that Tinubu wasn't eligible to contest the election in the first place as he had a verifiable narcotics case where he was convicted and had to forfeit $460,000.
This is the main reason why Tinubu has been pleading with Peter Obi to accept the results.
Like I have always said, Tinubu's disgrace will be international and Peter Obi will be President.

Thats not a valid argument for someone contesting for the office of the president
IVORY2009:
The APC might have a case here, they might claim the case never took place under our jusridition and pray the court to strick out the prayers of the Lp
Politics › Re: Section 137: What Does The Law Say About Tinubu's Drug Case In the U.S? by DMerciful(m):
Let me calibrate you on the wisdom behind using his drug case among other prayers.

1) To show he is a dishonest man. This also shows he is capable of rigging.

2) To overwhelme Tinubu's lawyers so they have their hands full

3) If proven beyond reasonable doubt, he is a goner.

5) Obi is coming from all directions he is gonna feel surrounded grin

6) Bring the world to focus on this case grin

It's obvious PLP lose the election, cos their emphasis should have been how they won the election but na charade dem wan go chase for court.

Meanwhile, if na digging game una wan play, the best advice is not to go there cos it will boomerang

Politics › Re: Truth About Lagos State Elections by DMerciful(m): 5:09am On Mar 22, 2023
What stops APC from sponsoring such ethnic campaigns by paying online influencers to say Lagos is no man's land so that Obidients would be indicted and hated?

Show a prominet Igbo person that made such comments! Anybody can create a Twitter account to push propaganda and Lagos-Ibadan espress has been known for that
BabaAduras:
TOPE POPOOLA- Comments on Facebook post of Moyo Okediji.

I know from comments here that a great deal of commentators either don't live in Nigeria or are elites who choose to live in denial. The Presidential election result in Lagos was a major shift in the political calculus of Nigeria. Those who voted massively for Obi and LP did so across ethnic divides. I have 2 children in Lagos. They are both Obidients. From VI, Lekki, Ikeja, youths voted massively for Obi and probably would have done same for GRV. As soon as the result was announced, the GLOATING and the BOASTING began. You need to see the virulence of it on Twitter. It was no longer about the intended shift or making a point against establishment. It suddenly became an ethnic thing, a victory for the power and influence of Ndigbo in Lagos. Some even brazenly made videos to that effect and the "no man's land" refrain suddenly started gaining traction. I was appalled by it all. I knew it would not end well. I saw many of those tweets and videos. One of my sons told me that some of the things he heard from Igbo guys made him regret casting his vote for Obi. There is no smoke without fire. It us interesting that when Yoruba people started responding to the unabashed provocation, the ethnic baiting started. If I cannot control the ferocity of your slap on my face, you cannot control the viciousness of my reaction. It's so unfortunate that an eye for an eye only makes everyone go blind!

Many of us are in foreign lands that have accommodated us without caring where we come from. Sometimes, we still struggle with racism even when we hold the passports of our host nations. Nonetheless, we dare not stand and abuse the sensibilities of our hosts. That is the issue here and should be divorced from blatant ethnicity and tribal bigotry. How come we didn't have all of these outrages till after election? And it is NOT because Tinubu lost to Obi in Lagos. That was made possible by people who just needed a change in Lagos. LP would probably have repeated that feat but for the issue I mentioned above. Prof and I were contemporaries in College and in our days, tribe and ethnicity were never issues. To a large extent, many Nigerians still think that way, especially in the SW where Ndigbo and other tribe's have been given ample room to flourish. I asked an Igbo friend to mention ONE Yoruba man who has one acre of land to his name in his part of Igboland. He could not.

Those who come to equity must always approach the table with clean hands. Igbos have thrived and continue to thrive unmolested in Lagos. They continue to contribute significantly to its economy. Ndigbo who mean well should address those who are stoking the fires among their elite, rather than complain about the attendant conflagration. Deal with the cause, the consequence will be taken care of.

Almost every Igbo person I attempted to engage in conversation on the candidacy of Obi when I was trying to decide who to support, responded with anger, attacks on my person and evidently ethnic slurs rather than reason. I had to DELIBERATELY rise above those pedantic narratives.

During #endsars, Nnamdi Kanu was on social media and Radio Bi.afra supervising and commanding the burning of BRT and public infrastructure in Lagos. I heard it myself, and people were calling him to update him as the they burnt down buses and police stations. He was particular and emphatic about Lagos and overrunning the city. I was shocked but, as a die-hard nationalist, I simply shrugged it off as the rantings of a deluded agitator. Lt.Col Victor Banjo, a Yoruba man was Ojukwu's friend and fought on the side of Biafra during the Civil War. He led many offensives against Federal troops and led the onslaught that captured the then Midwest. Then Ojukwu ordered him to proceed and take Lagos. Banjo refused that order. He was invited back to Enugu and Ojukwu personally supervised his execution as a traitor to the Biafran cause. I believe the last election only acted as a pin that pricked an inflated balloon.
The question in my mind in all of these is, *"WHY THE OBSESSION WITH LAGOS?"*🤔

You have eyes but cannot see to read
Larryhoover:
With this petition, the case has ended even before it started.

On what ground would you say INEC should disqualify a candidate and not eligible to contest.

That INEC should disregard the vote of the 1st and 2nd respondent, and hence declare the 1st petitioner as the winner. Then what should Atiku that came 2nd with over 6.8m votes do?

I think some SANs need to think deeply before filing a petition because these are pre-election matters than is the responsibility of the party not the opposition.

Well, it would be interesting to see the outcome of the Tribunal but honestly I expected something solid from the Obi's legal team and not this joke.
Politics › Re: Presidential Election Tribunal: Peter Obi's 5 Prayers by DMerciful(m): 4:39pm On Mar 21, 2023
You're really not wise! Election petition is time bound so you must file before the deadlines even if you're still gathering eveidence from INEC and BVAS. Obi will adjust his prayers later.

If you're truly Obidients, you have to trusg that Obi knows what he is doing

Both APC and PDP rigged but APC outrigged PDP. Obi is a man of integrity, he will never rig himself in.

You keep saying 3rd like you've not been listening to what the evidence is saying. LP results were swapped for APC many places. Obi actually won!
IyaebeTheGreat:
Hmmm is like Asari knows what we don’t know. My own is Obi came third and Atiku second, which simply means Atiku was closer to winning than Obi, so why is Obi and his supporters more aggressive than the person that came second? Politics is like mathematics, you’ll have to calculate right to get an accurate answer. In all honesty I don’t believe Obi ever won because it was crystal clear that northerners( major deciders) massively voted for Asiwaju and it was for this reason Asiwaju based his campaign over there which made him eventually lose Lagos to Obi. We should be over all these already and let the court handle the rest
