Civilians vs civilians with Apc side having the backing of the police and soldiers. Don't kid yourself. All these shenanigans will be brutally crushed in a matter of days. Apc side are just calm because these people are wasting their sweat and saliva and aren't going anywhere. If they start to grind the economy down they will be put under control |

The daylight election robbery was orchestrated from the West, if Nigeria burns, its on the West! SkrewYou: You're right. Thank God you noted it, else urchins will claim revolution started from the West just as they wanted to claim #EndSars started from Lagos Some weeks ago, I saw a tweet where Ogbeni Dipo was trying to portray himself as those that started #Endsars in Lagos b4 spreading to other states, but a guy probably from Ughelli in Delta state quickly reminded him that #EndSars protest started from Ughelli. Dipo was unable to reply. Typical of these guys to always claim they're the first in everything, but thank God for internet that never forgets. |

It is not fake news...he actually travellednout. People gazette reached out before publishing, they refused to respond but foolishly responded when the story broke and trended lhordspy: We are done !
Things are getting out of hand and no one seems concerned. No laws, no regulation. Anybody can just wakeup, situp,and tweet/type anything without repercussions.
Everybody just behaving anyhow. The most annoying thing is supreme court even responding to the fake news and issuing a statement. Like what the hell is fvcking going on?
Why is no slamming hefty lawsuit worth billions of naira on the main source of the fake news Peoplesgazette. No one is even talking about them. Supreme court is fvcking issuing a statement, garba shehu is also issuing a statement on another fake news. Everybody issuing a statement about fake news every minute. No one is taking any necessary precaution to stop it. No one is suing anybody. Everybody is fvcking issuing a statement responding to different fake news. Nigeria is now a lawless country.
Like what the fvck is all these rubbish? What is going on in these country The highest custodian of law in Nigeria was just dragged into a dirty fake lie and supreme court is issuing a statement debunking it instead of fvcking going after the b*stards that cooked up the lies. What is all these for goodness sake.

Meanwhile, Bayo Onanuga has not deleted his xenophobic tweet, neither has he apologized flokii: If DSS should pick this one and lock him up now, their journalist unions will be crying all over the place.
It just shows the kind of people we have in the Eastern part of Nigeria with their cruel and mindless attitude towards the plight of others.. I know the CJN would overlook this but I feel one of them should be made a scape goat for others to learn.

If the president does not have 25% in Abuja, it means he is very unpopular to be imposed on them. Abuja is a compulsory question agemmy113: Brother I will like to ask you few questions 1. What makes 25% in Abuja more important than other state. 2. Does people in Abuja more quality than people in other state, that makes there vote have value than other states 3. Why would you include English and mathematics to this (a) it is believed if you can't pass English that was used to asked the questions, how did you read and pass the exam. Section d for actions of dishonesty or fraud does not give a time limit. If it was proven that its drug related offences, he is a goner no matter how long because he held public office in 1999, also as a senator LandMann: Tinubu is not a convict but he's been found guilty of an offence that can be classified as fraudulent. That is why money in his accounts was confiscated. However, the offence happened over 20 years ago, far above the 10 years limit set by the constitution. Hence, Tinubu cannot be disqualified based on this issue |

Politics › Re: D by DMerciful(m): 7:47pm On Mar 24, 2023 |
Let them tender the letter from the embassy in court. Tinubu is a goner, you can't forfeit such a large amount that he couldn't have gotten from his salary for nothing substantial Eniitankorede: First of all, Tinubu was not sentenced for fraud or fined for fraud. The letter from the embassy is explicit on that. And that subsection you mentioned is in present tense when you look at the opening statement of the subsection. This means the person is currently under a fine a prison sentence. The next subsection then extends this to a period within the last ten years. |
Politics › Re: D by DMerciful(m): 7:41pm On Mar 24, 2023 |
You're quoting e when infact the hammer is subsection d. LandMann: This is an excerpt from Nigeria's constitution:
137. (1) A person shall not be qualified for election to the office of President if -
(a) subject to the provisions of section 28 of this Constitution, he has voluntarily acquired the citizenship of a country other than Nigeria or, except in such cases as may be prescribed by the National Assembly, he has made a declaration of allegiance to such other country; or
(b) he has been elected to such office at any two previous elections; or
(c) under the law in any part of Nigeria, he is adjudged to be a lunatic or otherwise declared to be of unsound mind;
or
(d) he is under a sentence of death imposed by any competent court of law or tribunal in Nigeria or a sentence of imprisonment or fine for any offence involving dishonesty or fraud (by whatever name called) or for any other offence, imposed on him by any court or tribunal or substituted by a competent authority for any other sentence imposed on him by such a court or tribunal; or
(e) within a period of less than ten years before the date of the election to the office of President he has been convicted and sentenced for an offence involving dishonesty or he has been found guilty of the contravention of the Code of Conduct;
Source
http://www.nigeria-law.org/ConstitutionOfTheFederalRepublicOfNigeria.htm
Based on bolded above I believe supreme court or tribunal will discard one of Peter Obi's and Labour Party's prayers relating to this issue of Tinubu being indicted or convicted in the past because it happened over 20 years ago whereas the constitution sets a 10 years limit |
