How lucky can someone be to join the army as a commissioned officer without waec, plotted coup to be head of state, tricked people with fake integrity to become president and yet inspite of these 'blessings' refused to perform? It's a sin against humanity! |

Then the removal was triggered from the NJC and not one useless and suspect exparte order, know the difference. Having said that, regarding the international community, Abacha, Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi, Gbagbo said worse and these guys are more rugged than Bubu. You know how they ended , nobody messes with US and her allies! SirBunky85: FYI, pmb doesn't give a damn abt international outcry and pmb can decide to respect the recommendations of the njc or choose to ignore it .remember, gej ignored d njc recommendations to reinstate justice salami and nothing happened |

The joke is on you for supporting someone who has ensured that ASUU remains on strike while his children school abroad Corrinthians: Only fools support this party honestly!
ASUU has been on strike for over a month, none of these idiots have as much as flexed political muscles to bring an end to the impasse. You know why? The answer is simple: the strike doesn't affect their children or their pockets!
Now, one crooked justice bites the dust and theyre running all over the place like deranged banshees, threatening fire and fury. It is instructive to note also that some of these ignorant twerps who come here to defend them are languishing at home over the ASUU strike!

Poor people are happy thinkinh that Bubu's anticorruption sham will make them rich. They don't know life is about negotiation, it's better to have a dealer who will generate 10 billion and corner 1 billion and use 9 billion for development than to have someone who will generate 2 billion and use 2billion for development. You need to see what is the overall benefit rather than what the other person is benefitting. |

So if someone genuinely forgot? You think declaring assets is a piece of land and a car? We are talking of people with over 30 assets, it's possible to miss few out that's why the law provided for admitting and refiling nonsobaba: OP, you need a lesson in english. This section does not in anyway exonerate the corrupt former CJN. Take note of the word 'necessary' that ended that section. It simply means the CJN can still be taken to the CCT though it isn't mandatory since he has confessed to the misconduct. It is then left for the CCT to determine whether the breach is worthy of any punishment whatsoever. |
Politics › Re: CCT Section 3 Act That Exonerates The CJN by DMerciful(m): 11:17am On Jan 28, 2019 |
So you are ignorant of the political undertone? Who does the CCT chairman work for? Who is his boss? kahal29: Op do you know more than the CCT chairman, justice Danladi who issued the order? Do you think he doesn't know the section you are quoting or do you think he has not read it over and over again? See before he issued that order of suspension he knew that Onnoghen is going down and there is no way he will extricate himself from the allegations.
Besides if Onnoghen forgot to declare maybe one or two of the accounts maybe it wouldn't have been necessary to continue the case but in this instance he forgot to declare five different accounts which contained various huge sums of moneies in local and foreign currencies.

He wasn't a dictator but the NJC were already intimidated so better to shift the meeting till calm returns then they will be able to take informed decision briefness: Was Onnoghen a dictator when he prevented a scheduled NJC meeting from holding apparently because he felt an unfavourable decision would have been taken against him. If he forgot to declare assets much more than what he remembered to declare and refused to step aside for investigation to be done and also postponed NJC meeting indefinitely and no one seems to care, then something is wrong with us as a people. |
Politics › Re: I Blame Nigeria Newspapers For Onnoghen Insistence To Continue As Cjn by DMerciful(m): 9:37pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
What crime did he commit? ashacot: I remember when Former minister of finanance kemi adeosun was indicted by premiumtimes newspaper to have forged her NYSC certificate. The did everything to use that incident to embarrass the present government. They were counting down her stay in office even while the president had ordered that the certificate saga be investigated. We were seeing things like "19 days after, Kemi Adeosun is still the finance minister" This continue until she resigned .
The opposition party leveraged on that incident to put one over on the ruling party. They were vocal in their insistence that Kemi should resign.
Fast forward to the suspended CJN. Since he was bursted, and before his suspension, no newspaper in the country pressured him to resign Despite knowing fully well that his crime is a very serious crime. Worst still is that the same opposition party that cried to heaven that the former finance minister be removed were the people defending the crooked CJN.
Our newspapers should be fair in carrying out their job. The suspended CJN committed a gravious crime and who knows if the kind of pressure given to KEMI had been given to him, he wld have resigned and willingly face trials. Now almost all newspapers are writing and recommending that the president should recall him and he should resign immediately. |

The President merely obeyed the CCT. Leave my Bubu alone abeg...
None of you have asked the CJN to honourably recuse himself. When the constitution was created, the drafters erroneously assumed that the all the actors in it had some iota of shame. Clearly they were wrong, Onnoghen has no shame. |
